It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰
Hi Nagi, I absolutely love your recipes, – they are so full of flavour and easy to follow. I’d love more of your curries please. Your lamb rogan josh is so good I won’t order a takeaway any more! More like this would be fantastic please. Three course menus for entertaining would be great too, – if we ever get back to normal! Thanks for everything you do. 😊
I love how you can take an ‘old fashioned’ recipe. Recipes I’ve made “the long way” be it a cake recipe or meat/vege and modernise it – not just in looks but more in the construction and method and doesn’t alter the taste or end result! eg creaming butter and sugar when it can be done quicker and easier! I know you do this already and I love it 👍
The easier it is to put together the better 😊
I love all your recipes 💖
Sorry nut much help x
Hi Nagi, I actually just wrote a rather long msg but it hasn’t been posted for some reason. So I guess I need to be more succinct with my requests:
#video on chopping skills please
#recipes that can be frozen in individual servings
#recipes for a slow cooker, and
#video or blog on your best food prep shortcuts
Many thanks
Sorry Nagi, I have just discovered my (very long🙄), earlier msg has been posted now.
Hi Naji – my daughter and I love tour Asian recipes. We have tried many many Asian recipes during this pandemic and agree yours are the best. So our our request from you is ANYTHING ASIAN!
Given we can’t travel overseas currently how about a world cuisine journey. You could have a meal or even a dinner party menu for different countries and even include a guest comment section from someone you know from that country and what traditions are important to them around food.
Also love the idea of slow cooker and freezer meals. Thanks Nagi. As always we love what you do. Happy new year.
Loved your interview with Dozer. Love your recipes. In 2021 more Dozer and slow cooker recipes. Thank you for all your yummy recipes.
Hugs. Stay safe.
As I live in Scotland with full lockdown 😫. We have just got rid of snow and ice, we’ve had this since 1st January.
I would like to see Asian low calorie foods . I love Asian food, but where I live we don’t have any carry out places, so it would be really great if you could do some recipes.
I love your Dozer posts 😁. I have a golden retriever also called Lucky
Thank you for keeping my spirits up during this awful lockdown.
Kind regards Fiona
Hi Nagi
I am relatively new to your website and really enjoy reading your recipes (and just adore Dozer!!!).
I am a single person and usually only cook for myself and your recipes naturally cater for more people but I would love it if you could advise how to make servings for one or two with your recipes as I know it’s not as simple as just reducing the quantities of ingredient.
Many thanks.
Hi Sharon, Agree with you, I’m in the same situation. It’s not that easy just reducing the quantities, and I do love so many of Nagi recipes.
Love what you do – thanks so much for sharing your skills. I love it when you take Restaurant specialities and make them accessible to us through your fantastic recipes.
Nagi your recipes are the BEST!
You explain everything step by step and I love your videos.
Please just keep doing what you do as it is amazing.
And of course Dozer has to be part of it as well! 🐾❤️
Hi, Nagi!
Love your site & all your great recipes, but would like to see some made for 1-2 people rather than a crowd.
Also hate bananas except in bread, which if you haven’t posted, would love to see.
Thanks for asking & have a great 2021!
Hi Nagi, thank you very much for this opportunity to provide some input to your (admittedly already great), blog. I used to love cooking and was pretty good at it to be honest, but after a very long period of illness, I lost my cooking mojo. So finding your blog has been very good for my confidence. However, there’s one thing that I struggle with (& which causes me considerable angst). That’s food prep. Now as a senior citizen and one who lives alone, and with chronic pain, I sometimes find that your recipes require quite some time to prepare. So… do you have any hints that I could use to streamline my food prep please? And that includes a request for you to do a video on how to chop food correctly. I seem to waste a lot of time and energy in that process alone. I’m sure that you must have developed a lot of shortcuts over the years and a video on your favourite ones would no doubt be appreciated by many of your followers.
You also mentioned two other things that I’m sure many people other than just me would be grateful for. That was dishes suitable to freeze, and dishes made in a slow cooker. Whether because someone lives alone as I do and wants to bulk cook in order to freeze individual servings for later, or has a busy life and needs to make use of their slow cooker, to help them have meals on the table for their family when they get home from work, I’m sure that both those topics would be popular.
I apologise for the fact that this is such a long msg, but then you did ask!😊 Thank you, and I hope that 2021 is a happy and successful year for you and Dozer.
Happy New year Nagi and Dozer!! For Christmas I recieved an air fryer and I was wondering if you had jumped on the bandwagon? I love all your recipes and would love some air fryer hacks/ tips! And I’d love more Dozer ;P
Hi Nagi,
Would love some kid friendly recipes. Ones that they would eat and be easy to cook with them. I’ve already made lots of your recipes with my daughter and now that she’s getting older she’s keen to be more independent with her cooking, so some super simple ones would be awesome!
Hi Nagi,
I would love a slow cooker taco mince recipe. Just like the one from Guzman Y Gomez. (They use fresh squeezed orange juice and the mince is really broken down) 😍 thank you!
Love your recipes Nagi, I have so many favourites!
I’d love a great recipe for lamb korma, just can’t seem to find a recipe that is as amazing as Indian takeout.
Also, recipes for jams for those cold winters days with homemade bread.
Korma is on our curry hit list for this year! We want to REALLY nail it. As you say – Indian takeout standard. We always benchmark our curries agains Malabar Indian in Crows Nest, one of the best in Sydney. It’s a high bar! (PS When I say “we”, it’s because my brother is the curry king and has created most of the curry recipes on my website. Well, he does the groundwork and we finalise it together. 🙂 I have to say, he is really good with curries – or anything with lots of complex flavouring in it!)
Because COVID has us completely on lockdown, we are restricting our diet to more veggies, salads and fruit desserts. So please helps. We also need more veggie kids foods like; Broccoli/cauliflower with cheese sauce. A major request from several 8/9/25 yrs olds. Please help. Thank you
Nagi, I would love more low carb dishes for my diabetic husband, and more big healthy hearty salads that can be a whole meal for me (you have a few already but I just love them and want more please!). Happy New Year, Sally
I’d love easy and delicious recipes ! Not a lot of ingredients! No meat just chicken and fish please or vegan.. everything you do is delicious. Oh and yes more puppy PLEASE!❤️
Hi Nagi
We love all of your recipes!! Love the idea of a menu of three courses – or more! One recipe in particular i would love is for an Asian slow cooked brisket….sticky, sour, hot and sweet and falling apart!! something that can be served with greens and then used to fill bao buns
Thanks for all the great recipes and loads of inspiration always!
Gx
