It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰
Plant based
Lots of diverse pulse recipes
Would love to see more recipes on:
– Fish based
– Vegetarian friendly
– Freezer friendly
Reading some of the comments already posted and the knife skills & food prep tips really stand out for me as I do love some process improvement, but also think it could really help my husband get more cooking confidence (especially now that he’s mastered your roast chicken with liquid gold!)
From a site / blog perspective if there was a way to create a meal plan and shopping list from your recipes I would be in heaven (because you’re literally my go to site for any meal plan and recipe search…so much so it’s become somewhat of a running joke with my friends 🙂
Would love to see some family friendly meals that can be on the table in 30 mins. I’m back at work after 12 mths maternity leave and struggling with meals. My daughter loves your Mexican rice beef casserole I just omit the cayenne. It’s a big winner.
No change with recipes!! They are perfect! Just a comment if you can get your web person to separate your recipe comments into “I made this” and “general comments”. I always look in the comments to get tips and actual reviews but have to scroll and scroll to get to the ones where someone actually made the dish. Most people comment something like “Looks so good, going to make it”
Love all your recipes…love some cook ahead freezer meals.. and love Dozer..
Hi Nagi. Thank you so much for your amazing repertoire. You have kept me
sane through Melbourne lockdown. I’m feeling a bit sad as I need to shift
My COVID kilos and will miss many of your dishes. I am embarking on a way of life that means I will stick to 800 calories five days a week. I hope you may be able to assist with some
more low cal recipes to help me and the whole family stay on track. I know with your flavours you would make it so much more doable. (Bring on the naughty stuff on the weekend though. It’s all about balance right?)
Nagi I love everything you do – all of your recipes have worked for me so far and been delicious- my first port of call for anything I want to make!but since you asked… I would love more pressure cooker recipes and more Thai food please 😘 thank you!!
Hello! Could we please have some more low cal/Kj recipes?
Thanks 🙂
Hi Nagi! First off, I love Dozer! ❤
Okay, so I would like to see low carb recipes…and slow cooker. (Sorry for being greedy and requesting two!).
Enjoy your Summer, while I bundle up here in Northern New Hampshire – 9° right now….brrrrrr
Christine – that’s literally about the least greedy message I’ve received on this post 😂 Ba ha ha!!! STAY BUNDLED UP! N x
What about making tamales? I am in love with them but scared to tackle a recipe! Maybe you can make it less scary…😉
Hi Nagi, hope it’s ok to comment twice! I had one more request – I’d love to see your recipe on making beef with black bean sauce on rice noodles (& veggies). Thank you!
Hi Nagi, I love your recipes! They are always tasty and easy to make. I’ve converted my fussy 17 year old daughter to you as well! I have started to eat vegan food so I would love to see more vegan recipes that are just as tasty as your other recipes! thanks, Vanessa
Hi Nagi, happy new year! I would love to get some ideas on dairy free dessert recipes please since some of my family are dairy intolerant and I am one of those people who has to religiously follow a recipe.
Gday Nagi, I think you already do a great job,we had family come up to Townsville from Canberra and Kalgoolie and your pumpkin and pine nut recipie blew them away.
Love the complete menu ideas so yes, please! So good when you have a gathering and want to impress but don’t know how to pull it together from start to end. Love the Arabian Nights feast!
Have a great 2021!!!
You (and your Mum) are the only foodies I follow. Your recipes are so tasty and simple. There are some I have difficulty with because I am lactose intolerant and mostly on low FODMAP diet. I have very successfully adapted many of your recipes but would love to see perhaps some substations for those of us who love food but have restrictions. Keep up the great work!
You’ve changed my life! Ok, a bit dramatic, but you (and Covid) have helped me rediscover my love of cooking: thank you!
More fish dishes/ veggie mains would be great.
Happy 2021 to you and you furry Kitchen ‘Aide’
Happy New Year & thanks for all you do for all your followers. Love the news on Australia as my youngest is there – 10 months now.😢
My husband has Type2 diabetes but hate celeriac & other alternatives to carbs. We love all sorts of cuisine but I can’t eat bell peppers so would have to substitute those. London in lockdown is challenging but a 14yr old Border Terrier alongside a 14 week old one is making life so much better!
Thanks again for all you do.
X
Hello Nagi,
I am a college student and I love your recipes! All have tasted amazing!
Please can you include more college budget friendly recipes for younger adults like myself.
Please can you also try including meal prepping and planning as my mother would love to see that as it’s harder with no guidance.
Thank you! Stay amazing!
Please post low calorie meals
Great lunchbox savory ideas for kods to replace a sandwich.. other than fritatas. Low carb dinners.
I think it would be fun to see some kitchen/food and totally edible ‘experiments’. Like more fun ways and ideas to cook. Heston Blumenthal sorta but the everyday Aussie and totally doable kind.
Just some fun recipes!!!
Kitchen and cooking hacks too.
Love your recipes…makes me actually want to cook!
Would enjoy some healthy freezer friendly recipes and easy economical ideas for uni students.
Thank you 🙏
