It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰
Hi Nagi , I make one of your recipes daily , I find them so easy and versatile . Great for someone like myself who has a family to feed . I would love to see more school lunch box ideas . Foods that are tasty , no fuss and keep well .
Don’t change anything! I love the variety of recipes you share. I use so many of them as I am an inspired cook. Thank you for all you do for your audience
Elaine Marshall 😄
I’ll add my vote for more one-pot and slow cooker meals. Here in Britain (and particularly in South East England) we’re in very severe lockdown, and although I’m still working from home, I can’t get to the shops at all, (health problems). I love your blog, and of course, Dozer, although my cats, Gloria and Godiva, don’t approve of him at all. Thanks for all of it!
Also want to see dinners subs that are not carbohydrates. Not the keto kind but what can I serve with my sauces in the place of potatoes, pasta, rice, wheat.
I would love to see some ground chicken and ground turkey burger recipes with wonderful toppings and sauces. Also more Vietnamese recipes. I do love your food photography and Dozer pics!
Hi Nagi
You’ve been my new best friend for 2 months. I’m a terrible cook but somehow I can do your recipes. Eternally grateful to you! Also I’m dog crazy so I’m a huge fan. And I grew up I. Gladesville so you were made to be my guru! Please can you do a real custard recipe & a few simple desserts? Tasha
Hi Nagy. Just more of what you are doing. I can sympathize with you about the bananas. We grew up in the western suburbs of Sydney and the bananas in the lunchbox on a hot summers day were absolutely horrible!
Could you possibly include recipes just for 2 or 3 people please? Yes I know you can reduce the quantities, but it is a bit tedious trying to get the much smaller quantities. Thanks for what you do and please keep up the photos of Dozer.
Hi Nagi
I think everything you do is fabulous. I have even got my children now following you. I do really like the idea of lunchbox ideas as well as complete menus. We often put them together ourselves from your website. Glad you survived lockdown safely and somewhat sanely. Looking forward to what 2021 brings
Well, more fish other than salmon, more Dozer of course😍😜 and I want more low carb high protein recipe and gluten free sweets but other than almond flour please🤗😉
Anyway your recipes that I’ve tried even I failed still taste good do you believe it?,,
Hi Nagi – love your recipes and love Chinese food. Would love low fat and low sodium Chinese recipes if you can.
Hi Nagi,
Would love some condiments like sauces, pickles etc.
Love your work!!!
Love your recipe and recipe format. I especially like the metric option because US cups and Aussie cups are different. More kitchen equipment/tool/appliance recommendations would be welcome. And, of course, MORE DOZER!! Thank you so much for your great site. It is my go to recipe site.
Dear Nagi,
Thank you for all that you shared with us. Always helpful and informative.
I would like to see more salads with lots of proteins as well as more Jewish recipes ( including various dips).
Thanks and looking forward for more from you.
Good day Nagi, was about to send an SOS call. I wish to see more baking recipes this year. I have been combing your page for delish donut recipes, coconut cake recipe, more breakfast recipes.
Hi Nagi
I would love to have some ideas for really tasty gluten free flatbread and filed naan breads.
I’m currently ill after eating some pastry so I’m really up for gluten free cooking but not very good at it.
Thank
Ruth
I love your recipes! They are most of the time successful for me! I now plan my weekly meal plan using what you have on offer so more cook and reheat meals would be great! Also a few more sweets for morning tea ☺️ thanks for being awesome and sharing!!!
Hi Nagi, I would love you to show me a fail proof chiffon cake or a Japanese sponge.
Thanks so much for all that you do.
Hi Luisa! Here’s my mum’s Japanese sponge -> https://japan.recipetineats.com/japanese-strawberry-sponge-cake-strawberry-shortcake/#wprm-recipe-container-9065
Chiffon cake is on my list for this year! N x
Hi I’m only new to your site so forgive me if what I suggest is something you do already. I’m a type 2 diabetic who needs to drop some weight – I love flavour and spice – in part because chemo almost 10 years ago means I no longer pick up subtle flavours. I’m desperately looking for some easy simple (it’s just me at home) main meals and lunch ideas that are diabetic friendly.
Hi Nagi. Love all your recipes – so yummy and do good but a bit tough on the waistline. I’m finding it harder to maintain my weight as I’m getting older so am looking for lighter means (but not weight watchers meals where you are using reduced fat ingredients to make the same heavy meals!). Would love more grain salads and whole foods, more pulses, more greens, more fish and seafoods, more vegetarian. Salads that can be a meal for me and I can just add a piece of grilled chicken or fish for the rest of the family. Less noodles, pastas and carbs. Love them all but they stick to my waistline. Thanks so much for a great year. I have passed your site on to many a friend. You deserve every success you have!!
Hi Nagi,
It would be great to have some work lunch ideas and low carb meals.
Thank you for all your recipe ideas that are easy to prepare and delicious. Happy New Year to you and Dozer xxx
