It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰
Hi nagi
Loving your recipe blogs but would you ever consider creating recipes for our 4 legged freinds. Dozer could be your critic.
Absolutely! I have some, I just haven’t shared them yet. Dozer approved them many years ago! 😂
Dear Nagi, it would be really nice if every now and then you could do a feature for your northern hemisphere followers. Us who are busy freezing at the moment. Some gorgeous Asian soups (or just hearty warming soups) would really be lovely. Something a bit different from usual stews and the easier the better. Take care, stay safe, and keep us posted with good food ideas. Arlene
Hi Arlene! Absolutely, my schedule for this month swings between Aussie summer good and cosy winter food! It looks a bit mad, but I want to “feed” everyone and Jan/Feb seems to be the most extreme weather contrast between northern and Southern Hemisphere. 🙂 So don’t worry! I have some REALLY good winter foods coming up for you…. (secretly, I prefer them to the summer foods I have lined up! 😂) – N x
Happy New Year, Nagi! I would love more recipes with Asian twist and spices, such as Modern Indian, Thai- or Vietnamese-inspired. Easy recipes are welcome! Another wish is one tray and casserole recipes that aren’t loaded with cheese. Thank you Nagi and best wishes for 2021!
Would love some more freezer friendly ideas, basic bulk dishes I can freeze in portions and make a few different dishes with it. Also love some complete menus too
Firstly, I love your Dozer section and I tend to go to it first as he’s always a smile bringer! I also love that you use ingredients that I can get in a country town and not have to go to a city with specialist deli’s etc. Fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, and accessible herbs and spices etc. Thank you. My situation at the moment is that my Mum is 99 next month, and every time I cook I put meals away for her from each cook into the freezer, then I fill up her freezer when I go to her (she’s 2.5 hours away so I go to her every few weeks, alternating with my siblings), and so am looking for meals that will freeze and defrost well. For myself, I’m looking for meals that firstly have a high veg content as it’s too easy for me to sometimes get hooked on pastas and rice dishes that are meat heavy. For this same reason I’m looking to do a meat free day of the week with recipes that will still leave me feeling full like meat does. My mum is happy for this to happen too, but we need to find recipes that are satisfying. I’ve found some with mushrooms and eggplant that fit the bill, but would love more from you as you have such a skill with food and flavours. Thanyou so much for your posts – I look forward to them every day! xx
Love your website. Fantastic recipes
More veg recipes good but also meat ones. Recipes that can easily interchange ingredients would be great. Covid has meant more versatility is needed! Love hearing about Dozer too. Have a good rest. You deserve it.
Hi Nagi
Thanks so much for all your amazing recipes, I’m in the uk, and have two sons in their twenties living at home.
They are hugely into keeping fit, and follow a high protein diet, so chicken features in every evening meal !
I’ve made so many of your meals for them, which have resulted in high praise, but would be delighted to try more chicken recipes.
On another note, I have a passion for baking so would welcome any new cake recipes.
I totally understand your aversion to bananas, as my youngest daughter is the same, due to a childhood memory of a car journey after eating one, however a recent article about phobias, has helped her to understand it’s not the actual banana, but the memories it evokes that she struggles with. Not sure if that’s helpful, but just thought I’d mention it 😊
Hi Nagi, I make a lot of your recipes but I would love to see some lower calorie ideas. Not just salads though! Recipes where you can swap out something to tweak it to be lower calorie but only using ingredients I can easily get. I don’t want much do I?
Thanks for all of your hard work.
I love your recipes! Thank you. I am always forwarding my 3 young adult children recipes to try. I would like to see recipes with 5 of 6 ingredients that someone just starting to cook can easily make. Anything with some basic spices and ingredients they may already have on hand would be great. Also, how did you come up with your website name, RecipeTinEats?
Made your slow cooker beef stroganoff and it was absolutely amazing. Would love more similar slow cooker or pressure cooker recipes. Got a good ninja for Xmas and want to make the most of it.
Instant pot recipes, please. Also Middle East recipes. thanks, Nagi. most of my meals are from your website, my kids love it.
Low calorie recipes please to help shift the covid-curves! And some West Indian inspired recipes.
Hey Nagi! Just SO SO SOOOO LOVE your recipes! They are tremendous & I use them so very often. Christmas menu went down an absolute treat with the ham, peac salad, pomegranate salad and my absolute fav….garlic parmesan brussel sprouts. Won over our good neighbours daughter with that one…she “hates veggies with a passion “ . Needless to say, ahe went back for seconds, as well as the super crispy potatoes. Her mother was floored!! 😄😄
Anyway, here’s my thing…my wonderful husband is a “fifo”, flies home n back to work as an engineer. So…I would love some recipes for one person (me) when he’s away, make ahead…pull out of the freezer but then can maybe double up when he’s home. Cooking for oneself is a bit of a chore, the joy ain’t there…you know what I mean? But… I LOVE cooking, brings out the creative in me! Those are my thoughts…but you, your family, Dozer & your recipes are simply delightful! Love them! Keep ‘em coming! Luvs, Kim xoxo
I absolutely love all your posts, recipes and of course, Dozer!
The idea of a whole meal plan would be lovely. Also, more healthy meals would be much appreciated. Thank you for bringing happiness into my life, especially during these trying times!
Definitely more Dozer! Along those lines, could you do some healthy dog treat recipes? ☺️ I would also love to see more meals for one or two people (as we don’t really like leftovers but also don’t like waste!)
Hi Nagi,
Thanks so much for your wonderful recipes! I’m trying to get our family to eat a bit less, but higher quality, meat. Aiming for 3 healthy veggie dinners a week that the kids will love. More of those, particularly quick and easy weeknight recipes, would be very welcome.
Best wishes,
Helen
Hi Nagi,
I was just wondering if you could possibly put some KETO recipes on the site.
Thank You,
Bazza
Love the way you pace your recipes already, but if you want ideas, I agree with many of the commenters thus far: a few more white fish, Asian, one pot and/or slow cooker options would be fantastic. But I’ll take anything!!
Also, love your notes and tips for each recipe! Appreciate the effort you put in for every one.
Always love checking out your recipes Nagi! More vegetarian meals would be fantastic!
Hi Nagi,
I recently made your chicken satay recipe, my 9 year old son loved it along with the rest of us. I would like to know if you could consider some gluten free recipes, I’ve been forced to go GF, can’t tolerate. Thanks, and say hi to Dozer!
