Talk to me! Tell me what you want.

It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?

And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!

The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.

The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.

Thus, I turn to you to ask –

Tell me what you want for 2021!

Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:

  • More greens, less meat

  • More fish!

  • Work lunch ideas

  • More Dozer (🤞🏼!)

  • Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb

  • Freezer friendly recipes

  • Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)

  • Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort

I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.

So, talk to me!! – Nagi x

PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!

PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢

I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.

And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)

Life of Dozer

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰

I love you Nagi! You are the sunshine that starts my day off, and Dozer always makes me giggle. I think his manure photo is my favorite 😂. Don’t change your platform it’s perfect especially the videos. I gained weight during the pandemic and low carb recipes would be appreciated – in the slow cooker or Instant Pot would be twice as nice. Is low carb Asian possible without using artificial sweeteners? I hope you accept the challenge. Thanks for the wonderful recipes everything I have tried has been delicious.

Hi Nagi, I’m doing your quick chicken marsala again (love it) but you mention in the recipe that you were going to publish a slow cooker version – I’d love that now the weather is cooling down!

Hi Nagi, once a quarter I have to make a light lunch for my stain glass group. Can you offer any suggestion on food that travels well, is eaten using hands and limited utensils and without reheating. I have completely run out of my trust recipes and desperately need inspiration. Absolutely love your recipes, especially your enchiladas… now a family favourite❤️❤️❤️Gail.

I begged for a Banoffee Pie recipe as I’ve never made a good one and have just read that you will never make any recipes with bananas!!! If only you could see my tears and frowning face (no I’m not exaggerating) 🥺😩😢😖. I’m very upset. I understand the mum thing, my mum made cheese and tomato sandwiches for my lunch box and by the time it was lunch it was nothing but a soggy inedible mess. I told her 40 years later, however, my point being is that I still eat cheese and tomatoes just not in a sandwich. If only you could reconsider because I’m such a foodie and trust your recipes and know only you could make a awesome one..ok I tried, (your recipes are fantastic though) no grudges but hugely disappointed 😔 PLEASE!!

Absolutely love your recipes, Nagi! Your website has really had an impact on my life. I used to think of myself as a baker rather than a cook because I was too nervous to try to make what I considered were too difficult dinner dishes. You have taught me to just have a go and be unafraid in the kitchen as your recipes make everything achievable. I have honestly learnt so much from you and I am eternally grateful.

While I really love you homey, traditional recipes (your baked mac and cheese, creamy garlic prawn pasta and garlic bread are now staples in my house), I would be really excited to see more slow / pressure cooker recipes (I need recipes so that I can actually use my Breville machine), freezer-friendly recipes, and easy work lunch ideas (preferably ideas that don’t need to be heated as I’m a teacher who isn’t always able to heat up food at school). Oh, and always more Dozer content please! ❤️

Just some things I want to try.

Pumpkin curry. Roasted fennel. Homemade tomato sauce. Icecream recipes semifreddo ect… Pickles like chow chow or bread & butter.

Your one pot, bread, bbq recipes and everything pasta bake are the best.

    🙂

Great recipes throughout the site. If possible, I’d be interested in a shrimp in lobster sauce recipe, some more salmon and shrimp recipes in general, a few slow cooker meals as well. Thanks so much for the great content

Lemon meringue pie! My husband loves lemon meringue pie. I made it once for him, and while it was good, he said it was not the best.
Your recipes have never failed me so I would be so excited if you made this!
