It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰
Absolutely love visiting with you every day. You (And Dozer!) are a bright ray of sunshine in my life. Don’t change a thing!! Will say I really enjoy your Asian recipes.
For myself: more keto recipes and/or low carb ingredient substitution alternatives and tips.
As a general suggestion: you could do a poll on which new fangled kitchen gadget(s) do you own/should I get, and make recipes for?
For example, I pretty much only use my Sous Vide stick for cooking steaks perfectly every single time. However I am aware that they can be used for much more than this (not that this isn’t reason enough to get one ; ). Other gadgets could be an Instapot, Air Fryer, etc…
What I want? Well, being greedy, “Snake and Pygmy” pie with lovely puff pastry, like the Fray Bentos piccie on the can (but not the contents – totally different), and ‘REAL’ horseradish sauce – about 30 years ago, I’d go to the pub for lunch, and ask for “a horseradish sandwich and you can put beef in it, if there’s any spare”. Good friend of mine got some from her mother (sadly, deceased) in Estonia, and bring it to Finland where we lived. Shop-bought? No way!
Hi Navi, I’m with you on the bananas. Personally, I do not understand how anyone can even eat anything with artificial banana flavoring.
I would like to see:
1. Sourdough bread recipes and techniques.
2. More Dozer
3. Oyaka Don recipe
Just keep the recipes comin’! Love them and try so many. I also work in healthcare in the US and would love to have some more delicious slow cooker recipes as my husband and kids would appreciate having a delicious meal even when I’m at work! Thanks for what you do and the way in which you do it – I have NO issues with your style or content. Definitely keep the Dozer post 🙂 We made your Pupcakes last week for our dog’s first birthday – he was crazy for them! Thank you, thank you!!
some great air fryer recipes – maybe a better idea for fries and wings and burgers and such.
Awesome cooking
Great attitude
Makes our life better in Arlington Texas USA.
Thanks and we love D the fur baby…
Don’t know if I posted correctly so I will resubmit. Would you give instructions on cooking fish? I’m a pretty good cook but can’t cook FiSH!!!! I either under or over cook it. I’ve made quite a few of your recipes and all were wonderful!! Greetings to Dozer!!!
Hi Nagi, I need more ideas for gluten free modified recipes, especially for basics like pastry, puff pastry and everyday recipes. I love that you list substitutions for ingredients that may not be at hand, so even adding ideas for modifying your already fabulous recipes to make them gluten free. (I love your Aussie pies).
Air fryer + instant pot recipes please. You are my fave blogger + my go-to. I am 75, a Canadian from Burnaby. Love your recipes + videos. Just had your corn soup for brekkie mmm. I luv playing in kitchen!
As Covid cases continue to increase in the U.S I am looking for more recipes that use storage friendly ingredients (frozen fruits/vegetables/fermented foods etc.) so that I can reduce trips to store. Thanks for any suggestions.
I love your recipies! When I need to google a recipie I want to try your website is one of the first places I try and things always turn out as promised. Just keep cooking what you like because it is working. Keep the Dozer section please! I really enjoy his shenanagins :).
The only thing I would change would be in your videos where you show a little “preview” of a step completed and then do the step. I personally would prefer if you just followed everything through a-z with no skipping around. Easier on my brain when I am tired (I am healthcare staff in Alberta, Canada, bigtime lockdown with zero visiting of family and friends unless you are single and then allowed 2 ppl to visit seperately). Keep up the good work, you lift my spirits. 😊. My husband and I are going to try your Mom’s Teriyaki chicken soon, looks awesome!
I have enjoyed your recipes for a couple of years. I would like more complete dinner like the Arabic feast. Which I used for my daughter post wedding party More soups vegan and Buddha bowls. Thanks for all you do. Peggy gray

Love, love your recipes and recos!
For 2021, would love some healthier versions of fakeout, takeout and slow cooker flavour explosions (asian, indian, mexican, balinese, etc.).
Thanks so much and looking forward to your next post.
Would like to see more one pot dishes that are creative and use food we already have as well as great substitutes that would work well with the same recipe.
I loved your travelogues, so when the pandemic’s over, please do more! Also, as an American, I really appreciate your posts and explanations about foods Australians eat — some of which I’ve never heard of or seen before.
Happy New Year, Nagi and let me get this out there fist. I just love your recipes. Many of them are asian inspired, and I love how accessible you make them.
I’d love to see more veggie main dishes, maybe some South Indian cuisine. Your Eggplant Mush Brinjal is a staple in my household, as is Lentil & roasted eggplant salad. Maybe some more low cal/low carb recipes.
Thanks for asking. Hugs from Paris.
I would love a “best of the basics” series. You know, roast beef, spaghetti, tacos, chicken and broccoli, fajitas, chicken noodle soup. . . the recipes we make on the regular. Thank you for all your hard work in developing such delicious recipes. I use your recipes all the time!
More baking (bread/pastries) please, sweet or savoury.
Testing of recipes from books, youtubers or other blogs.
Many times we’ve made something exactly as shown but the results have not been good.
