It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰
I love many of your recipes, interjected with the Aussie humour! Would appreciate more low carb recipes. Thanks
I Nagi, I love all your recipes. I now have two daughters who are vegetarian, so I would like to see more vegetarian meals, not just veggie sides.
Thanks
I would like more recipes with less ingredients. Ya know, during lockdown I hafta make all my meals. The easier the better. Early on I tried making big batches of stuff, but I got tired of that after a while. I like variety. So any recipes that are easy, interesting and don’t have a ton of ingredients, I’ll take ’em. Thanks
Asian and Indian recipes are fun. I’d like to know how to make a Kashmir Curry (that’s what the label on the store bought one says) sauce from scratch, using spices and yogurt/coconut milk. I’m also intrigued by sheet pan recipes. And the weather is going to warm up where I live, so I’ll be looking for lighter refreshing foods that don’t heat up my kitchen. I put my small oven in the garage over the summer.
I am Celiac and dairy intolerant. I would love to see more recipes that aren’t loaded with cheese.
Lol… I promise… no bananas.. just one quetion first.. do you like banana loaf ?? Ok, on to bigger and better things.. I really am trying hard to teach myself to make chinese foods. . I would like to know what spices I should have for most things and a few basic recipies. I do use oyster sauce, hoisen sauce, fish
sauce, and of course soy sauce. What am I missing ? Oh, and fresh ginger and garlic to.. What else? Also, info about a wok, steamer, and any other things that are very useful. Thanks…
Happy New Year !!
I’d like to see some Instant Pot (pressure cooker) or Air Fryer (recipes).
Thanks!
WOW!!! Over. 900 comments so far!!! Gotta say…I’ve told EVERYONE I know that you have the BEST food blog on the internet…and your recipes are. STUPENDOUS!!! Due to medical reasons, I can no longer flip things with tongs or a spatula (half the stuff lands on the stove, near the stove or on the floor…miss my dog!), not to mention handle a pastry bag…so if you could develop more tray bake suppers or roasting suppers (Baked Orange Chicken?) along with sauces to go with them, I’d truly appreciate it! HAPPY NEW YEAR and lots of loves and pats to DOZER!
I lob a everything you post and have made so many of your recipes. As a matter of fact I just put the pork in the crock pot for carnitas! Then I will make the avocado sauce later.
I would love more Asian recipes. We used to be stationed in Okinawa and I miss the food. I do love the Asian recipes of yours that I have already made. They are so delicious. You did mention bento boxes so maybe a few ideas about those?
And of course, more Dozer is always welcomed!
Happy New Year! Let’s hope 2021 is better than the disaster we just had.
I would like to see more recipes for batch cooking. Things that I can make ahead and freeze until I am ready.
Would love to see more slow cooker recipes in the winter. But really the many recipes I cook of yours are Yummy. Thanks Nagi
100% more Dozer!! As for the recipes I’d like to see more cookies 🍪

Good morning Nagi! I am a 75 year old man in Canada who looks forward to your recipes and sense of humor. Of course I grin at Dozer. I retired at the end of December 2020. I have for the last few years taken on all the meal preparation, baking, canning and long term freezer storage with vacuum packing. I am lost. I ran away from the orphanage system when I was 13 years old. Since that time I have never not had a job for more than two days. I was a journeyman electrician, journeyman millwright, advanced scuba diver, enforcement officer for worker safety in our Province, instructor at a Provincial training center for trades people as well as a number of other certifications. I ran my Health and Safety Consulting company for the last 20 years. My mind and body are still not accepting the fact I do not have to be in the office by 5 a.m.. This getting older is a real pain. The biggest change I notice is the development of an emotional attachment to the washroom. Old people pee every 2 hour I think. Grin. With all the things I have done, the one thing I always wanted to be was a chef! Too late now I fear. For the last 30 years plus, I have made for example, Christmas dinner for up to 16 people. I ban all trespassers to my kitchen. Laugh. Now with Covid I am having one hell of a time trying to cook for only two people. I would like to see more recipes for 2 people. My lady of 40 years eats more than I. I try to have a different main meal every day, i.e. different meat, different veggies etc. Stir fry once a week. Love your site!!!
Victor
Hi from BC, Canada. Love your site. Would like more DIET recipes. Calorie, low carb, and instant pot. Makes you cringe eh?
Thank you for doing this Nagi! My fiancée and I love your recipes. Soon we will be married, living together, working full time, and becoming full time students as well. With all these new changes we would love to know about:
– work lunches that we can meal prep together and still taste yummy if there are leftovers for a few days.
– dinner date ideas that are not too expensive but still bring the wow factor for dining in at home.
– healthy high protein meals that doesn’t skimp on taste, since we both are trying to be healthy per doctor’s orders. It can be for lunch and/or dinner.
– more meals that are freezer friendly that we can pull out if we are short on time to cooks.
– a brunch course! We noticed that our free time together on days off, we usually have food around that awkward breakfast/lunch time. We would love any ideas on how to make a brunch menu for ourselves and loved ones who come over.
– a menu that includes pasta. His family is heavily Italian, and so any menu that goes above the standard garlic bread and pasta for dinner would be great. Like how to build a stellar antipasto salad that would knock the socks of his mother. Lol.
– finally, if you have any secret on how to make buffalo chicken wraps. We want to save money, and eating out less is what we’re trying to do, but we can’t stop eating the buffalo chicken wraps from this deli. With or without blue cheese it tastes soo good lol. It’s crispy buffalo chicken tenders that are not too hard but not too soggy from the lettuce, tomatoes, or any other wet ingredients we put in.
Thank you again for doing this!
Hi Nagi, I really enjoy your site! We’ve been working on eating less meat but still do cheese and eggs. And my husband is sort of carbophobic. Can you add a few recipes in that vein? Stay safe and keep up the good work. Thanks!
I would love more easy weeknight meals (especially stuff my picky kids might like)
Low carb but really flavorful main dishes, and veggie side dishes
I need healthy easy meals for two old people. In our 80s and I always fix too much. We like everything and fish has a priority along with vegies. ty Bev
