Talk to me! Tell me what you want.

It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?

And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!

The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.

The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.

Thus, I turn to you to ask –

Tell me what you want for 2021!

Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:

  • More greens, less meat

  • More fish!

  • Work lunch ideas

  • More Dozer (🤞🏼!)

  • Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb

  • Freezer friendly recipes

  • Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)

  • Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort

I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.

So, talk to me!! – Nagi x

PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!

PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢

I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.

And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)

Life of Dozer

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰

More of the same!!! But “freezer friendly” caught my eye. Also, my partner is a shiftworker so what I call “portable” meals are always handy. Thanks.

How about a special category for meals for students who cook for one or two? Easy, not too many ingredients, not too expensive. Could pull from many of your already existing recipes, but ¨repackaged¨ for easy reference. Happy New Year to you and Dozer.

I would love to see some more ramen soup or udon recipes with broth! I would also love to try your version of a philly cheese steak. Chicken tortilla soup?? Happy new year!

Nagi, I love your recipes and how easy they are. As it’s just the 2 of us I halve many recipes, however I struggle with some such as cakes, cheesecakes etc Is there a formula for that?

I’d love to have more filters among recipes like search for recipes containing 1 or more ingredients – this would help organise weekly meals based on what’s in the fridge. Also would love to see a filter showing most favourite recipes (by number of likes/hearts). Keep up the great work I love Asian recipes that you can prepare with regular ingredients and it tastes amazing. PS I’d like to see more low cal recipes that taste as amazing as the Vietnamese caramel coconut chicken!

I love your site! I’d love some weeknight meal plans made up with your recipes. Matching shopping lists would be a bonus, but not necessary. My resolution is to reduce food waste and wasted car trips. If I were better at meal planning I feel like I could accomplish that. That’s just a thought. Thank you for the smiles!

My favorite posts are menus like “good meals to take to others” (ie, someone just had a baby, or a death in the family) or “happy hour spread” or “picnic/tailgate”. Would also love more low carb recipes. Thanks!

Happy New Year to you and Dozer. Enjoy all your recipes and you make them so easy that I’ve cooked more new items than my previous dishes. Some sodium reduced and potassium reduced recipes would be good. I have been adjusting some of the recipes to use much less salt and no bouillon/flavouring packages as they are quite high in sodium (and sometimes sugar). I also use “no salt added” chicken and beef broth to reduce some of the sodium.

Love the Dozer photos…your captions make them!

P,S. Bananas have high potassium, so not part of our diets. (You could say the high potassium content is why you don’t eat them! 🤔

P.P.S. Your chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream is heavenly.

Happy New Year! I love the pics of Dozer.
I would like to see recipes low in fat and carbs that contain lean protein, veggies recipes, and low cal/carb desserts. (If there is such a thing)
My family and I love your green bean casserole and it’s on every holiday dinner menu. Thank you for all you share.
