It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰
Hi Nagi and Dozer. We love you and your recipes at our house. I’ve lost count now of the number of times I’ve given your book ‘Dinner’ as a gift. Great for beginners or accomplished cooks.. thank you 🙏 I’m looking for a recipe for Mini Drunken Fruit cakes to kick off the festive season. A very Merry Christmas and wonderful new year to you and your team and thank you for all your hard work Dozer 😊
please make pasties
Hi Nagi, this is hilarious! Bizarrely, bananas led me here. My youngest son has also been traumatised by bananas lolz because his dad made him eat one every morning! My eldest son requested a banoffee turnover (he’s been buying from Coles!) and naturally, I turned to you. So funny. aagh to whom will I turn? ‘no bananas’. love it.
I know a lot of people have already asked, but I would also love to see a Banana Bread recipe.
Absolutely love everything I have made from you, Nagi. Thank you so much for putting smiles on my family’s faces at meal time.
Hey Nagi
I’d really love some more lunchbox ideas, and if they could be make ahead for the week that would be fab.
Keep up the amazing work! Love your cookbook too.
PS. Maybe your mum could do a banana bread recipe as it’s her fault?! 😀 Call it NO banana bread and then we can just sneakily sub them in?
I’d love to see your version of a GUAVA and CHEESE EMPANADA
I was searching for a banana bread recipe and was surprised you didn’t have one, I googled recipetin eats banana bread and it led me to this page. Love all your recipes and think that your banana bread would top all others, but then I see you hate Bananas 😂 oh well, will have to make do!
On another note, you are my go-to for any recipe, so thank you!
Also, I’m not sure if I can’t find it, but is there a function on your website where the phone stays open in recipe mode, if not that would be great! Lots of love!
A vanilla slice recipe from you would be amazing please Nagi! Not the rubbery yellow type; I’m after a smooth, creamy custard recipe pretty please 🙂
I’d love a vanilla slice recipe
I’m a complete failure at making it
hi Nagi, i love yours recipes, it’s possible to have gluten free as well? Thank you!
Hi Nagi, thank you, you’re my food guru. I’ve recently bought an airfryer and would love some recipe ideas from you
More child approved lunchbox goodies please and always love more freezer friendly recipes to whip out on those busy weekday nights
Banana bread
Hi Nagi,
Wonder if it’s possible to add the quantity of fresh herbs when there is dried in recipes pls – I grow a lot of my own and I’m never quite sure how much to add. Thank you!
Dear Nagi, your blog is BEYOND amazing! Love the layout, photos, tips & reviews. Your blog changed how I cook for my family (discovered your blog during COVID19 lockdown, when I had no access to my favourite restaurants! This blog is so good, we hardly eat out). Do you have any recipes you recommend that are good for re-heating/freezing? Going back to work and think this would come in handy.
Keep discovering new recipes! Love your blog!
Warm wishes
Found this article while trying to search for a banana bread recipe and it gave me a good laugh!
Loved the other recipes so far so won’t be too disappointed about the no banana rule 🙂
I desperately need a Coronation Chicken recipe for our street party, to celebrate King Charles coronation, here in the UK, on 6th May!
Thank you for reading this 😊
It’s March and fresh backyard fig time of the year. If you could Please make an integrated A fig and mascarpone cake (nice and moist please) with enough fig flavour to know why it’s called a fig cake when served. I know u can make a winner- you always do. (Maybe a touch of ….. cinnamon or whatever….) I would like to have one as an everyday treat with family and friends and there isn’t much on offer m thx Lucy.
Hi, love all your curries so far. Any chance for a Madras?
Hi Nagi I love your recipes. But I now need to be more careful about following a FODMAPS style diet ( basically low residue, fairly plain foods). I have modified some FODMAPS recommendations by eg using garlic infused oil instead of garlic and using small quantities of other ingredients. Would love it if you could come up with some FODMAP-ish style recipes even if they are not 100% FODMAP please?
