It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰
A valentine’s night menu ideas ro cook at home as we will still be in lockdown
Ooooo yes please. Hopefully we won’t be in lockdown where I am however my hubby and I aren’t into the “commercial” side of such so to do a nice dinner at home would be lovely.

Hi Nagi,
thanks for giving us this wonderful opportunity to be included in your website! I’d love some good slow cooker meals, as many of the ones online simply consist in dumping canned soup and seasoning packs into the slow cooker!:) I also enjoy basic recipes like beef stews and new twists on them. Another request would be a couple meatless meals, as I’m a student and can’t afford the butcher multiple times a week…
That being said, I simply love your work and there is nothing I have to complain about really!
I wonder if you would ask at a different time of year the answers would be different? So much for my new years resolution! Love the Beer Battered fish recipe. Perfect for LENT!
Although I’m not fond of cooking nor baking I love your food n I could almost taste it. I just love collecting good recipes. Great job. Thanks for sharing 🥰
I used to go on organized week long bicycle rides. We would have an end of the road party with catered food. We always ended up running out of barbecue because the riders who requested vegetarian, ended up bypassing their veggie burgers in favor of the barbecue. Something to think about. That said, I’m not vegetarian, but really would like a good recipe for a veggie burger. Perhaps using black beans. I’ve tried without much success.
Would love vegetarian and fish recipes, and also a post regarding the differences in soy sauces and other Asian condiments.
Check out the website http://www.thewoksoflife.com . They go over all the sauces and condiments; as well as, other ingredients.
I would love to see some more slow cooker recipes. Loved your slow cooker marinara!
I live in Ontario Canada and just read about Anzac Biscuits. I’m not a big baker but love to try favourites from other places, one of the reasons I love your site and recipes (and Dozer).
I love your recipes, and have no suggestions for them; but what I would appreciate are more brand names (for example, when you suggest a certain fish sauce or soy sauce, etc.). Thanks!
Hi Nagi,
Happy New Year.
I love your recipes – and bless the day I fumbled upon your website – they are delicious, and doable for me, who considers cooking the opposite of therapeutic. So I would love to see more “quick & easy”, “5 ingredients or less” recipes. And healthy (or healthy-ish) desserts, is there such a thing? And I love reading about your life with Dozer by the way.
Thank you so much.
And wish you all the best in 2021.
Dear Nagi,
This is the ONlY food blog I actually use because it’s the only one that focuses on flavor rather than the appearance of it. Please continue to do more Asian recipes. I use the Asian cuisine section of your site several times a week. Charlie sauce, peanut butter sauce, etc. are a regular part of my life. Please do not go down the “healthy” route if it requires you to forsake flavor (cauliflower rice = the stuff of nightmares). In Europe, we have healthy lifestyles and still eat “full fat”. Thank you and can’t wait to see new recipes this year !
I LOVE and TRUST all of your recipes. What I DON’T want is slow cooker or insta pot recipes. I do like make-ahead recipes or fast stir fries with all of the prep work done ahead.
Could we also have some vegetarian and vegan to squeeze in between the other meals. Also, i won’t ever use corn in anything because in the USA grocery stores it’s the kind that’s contaminated.
Hi Susan! More vegetarian food is high on my priority list for this year, and many will be vegan 🙂 N x
Perhaps a few Hungarian dishes with a touch of your “flare” and always more Dozer!
Nagi, Have been giving some thought to your inquiry and keep coming up with the same answer, ‘Do not change a thing’. Your recipes are great and varied. I love seeing Dozer updates, and like that you include your mom’s recipes sometimes. As for more healthy recipe responses, NO, just eat less of a really good meal, Please keep doing what you are doing, it is great, First message I read every morning.
He Nagi.
I think your recipes are fantastic but can I ask you something. I have been told that fish sauce is a fantastic ingredient to use in almost all Chinese recipes. Could you tell me if I will arm any off the dishes if I but a bit of fish sauce in them.
Thanks
Neil
Hi,
Love your recipes. Can we have some some more Mexican recipes, maybe a cheese enchilada one ?
😊
Hi Nagi, I love your recipes and the details that you provide and videos. I would love to have more plant based recipes & vegetarian options which include protein.
More of dozer and your humour.
Thankyou so much !
