It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰
Would like to know how you velvetise meats?
Hi Virginia – you can see my posts here:

Love all your recipes but I would find it helpful if allergy advices was included as I have a daughter who is Coeliac. Suggestions of swaps to make recipes Gluten free would be very helpful.
Hi Nagi, ever since I’ve been gifted with a multicooker I’ve been trying to see how I can adapt recipes to make use of it. I’d love to see more recipes focussing on these sort of functions like air frying and pressure cooking.
Thank you 🙂
Hey Nagi, just one suggestion:
I don’t see a Focaccia/ Schiaciatta bread in your recipes? I’ve been searching for a small quantity recipe, and comparing anything I see with the amazingly clearly laid out and easy to follow instructions ( pitfalls to avoid etc) that you unfailingly provide us all with.
I think a focaccia from you would save me a lot of trouble!
With more than 50 years of cooking under my belt, including half of that time owning restaurants, I have honestly never come across recipe/ food prep presentations more likely to ensure success. There’s nothing to match it.
And your choices are all so bloody good!
Don’t work too hard…..we’ll all still be here for sure!
Big pats to Dozer 🤗
Best for a great 2021, James from Christchurch
Hi Nagi…..soooo! A few things that have been just simmering away in the back of my mind for recipe ideas are:
-Range of classic pie fillings. (I have made the meat pie recipe and it’s wonderful with steak, just a bit “complex” for mince!)
-Creamy chicken slow cooker recipes (and more slow cooker recipes!)
-Burger recipes
-Copy cat recipes (always fun!)
-Sweet slice recipes
Sorry, I know I haven’t been very specific 😅 but food is good and it’s hard to pin down to single items🤤
One can never go wrong when picking a recipe from your site. So great you opened up a post for ideas! I was looking for a Mediterranean lentil soup the other day as I’m attempting to include more legumes in my diet. I also want to experience branching out and cooking other vegetables I don’t usually eat, like fennel and various types of winter squash (red kuri Is my recent purchase). I love your salads (especially the one with pomegranate and wild rice) would like to see more of those or more veggie dishes. Thank you for inspiring creativity and wonderful wholesome meals. Whenever I have family come visit I always go to your site and it never disappoints!! Looking forward to more new recipes.
Your finger food recipes that I’ve tried have all been hits when we’ve had family and friends gather. Things that can be prepped in advance and finished off /popped in the oven at the last minute would be awesome. Thank you Nagi
Hi Nagi!
Would love to obtain a pekin duck recipe 🙂
Even if it’s not from scratch
Hi Elsa, I went down this path and it’s just too difficult in a home kitchen to make real deal peking duck!!
No worries , completely understand
Hi Nagi!
We have enjoyed many of your recipes already. I’m so please to ha ve find your blog. I’m Mexican married to a Kiwi with 3 pre teens living in Manhattan. One pot meals are my favorite, because they leave me time to make a dessert….we only allowed our selves to eat cake if it’s homemade… so it’s a must😋. I am also always on the hunt for new side dishes as I get bored of the salads.
I’m so excited to try the fried fish recipe. I adore fish & chips and just purchased a deep fryer. I had planned on looking for a good recipe when your email arrived. Great timing!
Maybe a bit late, but here’s my two-cents:
Some more 1-2 person sized meals for solo people. While I do love all your recipes, there’s only so much space in my freezer – especially this last year when I haven’t been allowed to visit anyone and take them leftovers!
Some more sweet things (cakes, desserts, etc.). I think I would still like your blog to be mostly on the savoury foods end of the spectrum, but a treat every now and then would be good! 😉

I would like to see more Malaysian recipes.. if you could. I’m Mexican married to a Kiwi with 3 pre teens living in Manhattan. Do you have a recipe for red velvet cake using beets juice I steady of food coloring?
Hi Nagi, I’d love to know how to make my own sausages! I’ve googled recipes but they all seem too complicated. Also, some more work lunch ideas would be great! Things that are quick / can be made ahead / are big on flavour (I know you won’t disappoint on that one!). Thanks for all your recipes – you’re my “go to” when looking for something to cook!
Would love to see more low calorie recipes and more one pan/one pot dinners
would like to see tasty fillings for cocktail sandwiches. savouries or canapes.
Would love vegetarian adaptations of popular dishes but with the equivalent flavour.
I love your recipes and the life of dozer
Hi Nagi… I would kill for a decent cream bun, which you could buy back when at Pinkertons in Manly..sadly closed many years ago. So please a recipe for such and also good bread recipes. Thank you.
Anything Korean…but more specifically, dak galbi (spicy stir fried chicken). I am absolutely obsessed with this dish but cannot find a good one that tastes like what I get at the top notch Korean restaurants anywhere
May have already been mentioned, but smaller meals for 1-2 portions (for us single folks!) Not that your recipes aren’t worth making double of!
Hi Lili, all my recipe are scalable – click the servings and scale down and all the ingredients will adjust for you. You may just need to adjust cook time accordingly in some recipes. N x
