It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰
Croissant recipe would be nice.
Ah!!! That is super hard 🙂 Very technical and takes ages! I am not sure that will make it on here…. but you never know! I do like a good challenge…..
I recently bought the latest cookbook from Shannon Martinez, the Melbourne Queen of Vegan. Everything looks delicious, but what I think she promises is not what I get. The world would be a better place if you could write Shannon’s recipes.
Hi Nagi! Thanks for all your fantastic recipes. A recipe for a chicken satay pie would be great (like the chicken satay pie at the Upper Crust in Long Reef).
Thanks
Tasty Low cholesterol meals 🙁
Love love this blog! Was wondering if there was a way to input 1-3 pantry items/ingredients and get a suggested list of recipes….want to start cooking with some pantry items/things already have in fridge, garden or pantry…..a bit like a recipe finder/suggested…..so for example if I had a can of cream of mushroom soup in the pantry what could I make with it? I know you can search for items using the search function but this option doesn’t always find individual ingredients such as CoM soup.
Hi Nagi, I love love love your blog! I almost always follow your recipes to the dot and they almost always turn out perfect.
My wish: more seafood, like scallops and cod and shrimps. I was very surprised to not find a recipe dedicated to scallops. And more pasta. And never too many chicken thigh recipes!
Hi Nagi,
I cook “Nagi” all the time at least once a week anyway! Always works out, always flavourfull and delicious. I would love to see Thai curry puff, and some moroccan or persian dishes…chicken bastilla? I like to cook the food I go out for but live in the outback, so always trying to make these dishes at home. x Thanks
Hi Nagi
I’ve been enjoying trying out your fabulous recipes.
I also appreciate the helpful hints and the videos.
I would like some recipes with beetroot. Perhaps Borscht, with or without meat. A beetroot salad or a relish.
Maybe you could do a theme where you focus on a particular vegetable or herb as the main ingredient.
Already loving your site and I look forward to each new recipe surprise you add.
Thanks for asking!!
Thank you so much for your awesome recipes!! I Really like dozer on every recipe, so can i request more interviews of dozer? Thank you. Ps. earlier i requested a banana pudding sorry 😞
Hi Nagi! Thank you for sharing such great recipes time and time again. I love that you use ingredients most of us have in our pantries and that you provide comments on how to store leftovers (very useful for those of us in single households).
My request is somewhat different – I would like to hear more about your recipe development process! How and where do you start? What is the journey like from there to the final recipe? I want to read all about it!
Cheers from Canada 🙂
Thank you very much and
Great idea M-Q! N x
Hi I also love your recipes and have made many. Thank you they have all been wonderful. I would love to be able to make beef and black bean like Chinese take way and hoping you could post a recipe.
YUM! I love beef and black bean!
Savoury tarts please.
Awesome suggestion Lorraine! N x
Awwwr nagi I’ve been a massive fan of yours but you know what your inventory is looking a bit low on duck I’d love to learn a bit more about your take on duck
Nice idea Aaron! N x
Hi Nagi – I was recently told I have type 2 diabetes, do you have any low sugar desserts that you could share. That would be great,
Low calorie recipes for when I go on a diet : )
Hi Nagi, thanks for all your work on this blog/site and sharing your cooking and communication talents with readers. I’m on the lookout for one dish wonder dinner dishes, made on the stovetop or in the oven, that are heavier on vegetables than on meat. And for something different, a bit of a baking and research project, an Eastern European or Russian honey cake (‘medovnik’).
Hi Nagi! I’m relatively new to your site (since thanksgiving) but keep coming back to your recipe posts/ideas/videos/Dozer updates❤️🐶! Love your writing style and videos of every recipe, incorporation of specific preparation/cooking techniques, and life of Dozer comments/pics. You are actually teaching me how to cook!!😆 Everything I have tried has been delish! (Maybe you could have a collection for “Beginners” or novice cooks, like myself, that really go into the basics and is instructional in nature. I would love to be your student!! Anyway, I digress…)
– I would like to see more healthy dessert recipes and /or modified versions of some of the recipes that you already have (perhaps substitution suggestions to make it lower fat/gluten and dairy free, etc). I know you have a “Healthy” recipe collection but didn’t know if there were a lot of “healthy-er”desserts. (I know…is that even possible 🤣).
-Irregardless, looking forward to all your content in 2021!! Thank you and Dozer for all you do!
Hi,
I’m a huge fan. I would love to see more work lunch ideas and easy fresh tasty meals that can be scaled down easily for 1-2
Hi Michelle, all my recipes are scalable, click the servings and scale down. All the ingredients will change for you! N x
Hi Nagi – I love your recipes. As other commenters have noted, they never seem to fail, which gives me huge confidence in trying something new.
Something that I’d love to see is a couple of posts on ‘fussy eater’ (non dietary requirement…) substitutions. For example, my husband won’t eat tomatoes (I can occasionally sneak in paste, but nothing where the tomatoes are visible); I can’t eat avocados, neither of us are eggplant fans. It’s not easy to work out simple substitutions, as often it depends on the role that the particular thing plays in the recipe.
So, some general hints on how to work out good substitutions in a general sense – how to work out the role that the particular item plays in a recipe, and then from there, how to plan for a substitution that your fussy eater will actually like 🙂
Hi Nagi, I’d like to know how to make easy meaty bone broth based bowls. I’d also like to know what to make using canned crabmeat and how to use rice flour to make a moon cake or mochi.
