It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰
Nagi, your meals are delicious and I’m never disappointed. My 6 year old daughter is so inspired by you recipes and video. We make one of your dishes every weekend.
As simple as it is : Pasta carbonara would be awesome.
Collette and Sofie from Toronto, Canada
Hi Nagi, thank you for teaching me how to be a better cook! Your recipes are becoming family favourites and I always look forward to your emails and Dozer.
I’d love to see more vegetable dishes (especially salads, yours are delish) and lunches please. And keep the meat coming please. Thank you!!
I’d love to see more vegetarian mains on your site, or even suggestions for what to substitute for the meat if we want to go in that direction.
The full meal plans from the beginning of the pandemic were incredibly useful, so I’d be pretty excited to see more of those. Or more things in the vein of that one “bunch of freezer-friendly meals from one shredded pork shoulder” post (the name of which, I can never remember).
You’re definitely my go-to site for simple-but-still-wonderful chinese/thai/indian food, so please keep doing that! (Your recipes manage to avoid both the “I’d have to go to five stores to find all of these ingredients” problem and the “this just tastes like ketchup on noodles” problem, lol).
I’d like you to keep it as it is, this isn’t a wewbsite you go to for fat free food, you come here for delicious tasty recipes. And it’s low carb and high fat that is the healthy choice, fats are healthy.
Is it too late Nagi to tell you what I’d like to see?
It would be lovely if you could provide a glossary of spices that are used in your recipes, or any recipe; what they are, what they’re used for, what is an alternative if you just can’t get access to a particular spice or fresh herb.
For example and I think I’ve asked this question before. In terms of Paprika; Sweet, smoked, hot, Hungarian, smoked sweet, normal, which is what and what can they be used for.
When a recipe requires Paprika, which one is it? Dad said it’s usually sweet paprika, however, I need to know for sure.
I live in a small rural town, and sometimes I just can’t get certain herbs and spices.
My town has one major shop; Coles and seriously, it is not and does not carry a variety of fresh Asian herbs, it is a disappointment.
On one occasion I had to travel 30 minutes drive to Tweed Heads, because I was in the mood to make a Thai curry, and at that time I knew I was guaranteed to buy fresh Asian herbs from Woolworths in Tweed Heads.
I don’t have the luxury of living anywhere near a Harris Farm. I’ve called my cousin one time as I knew she was close to a Harris Farm and asked her to buy me fresh Bay leaves and post them to me.
So, yeah, if you could put together a glossary that would be lovely.
Thank you in advance 🙂
The idea of low carb meals also sounds great, and YES!!! Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes sounds terrific.
Hi Nagi,
I’m new to your site, but I’m loving the recipes you share. Can I please request quick, simple and tasty recipes that don’t have a huge amount of ingredients and are not stirfry based!
Many thanks.
Lisa 🙂
P.S. Dozer is gorgeous, but then I am biased as I have a beautiful Goldie too.
Hi. Thanks for this opportunity.
I am happy to have more meat dishes, especially Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes – my current priorities! More Dozer. If you know anything about low FODMAP dishes, some recipe ideas would be useful. Oh and also home made dog treats are always important! Thanks
Hi Nagi!
Here are a few dishes/deserts that I’d love to see on your website:
– Pistachio & Rose cake
– The best oreo cheesecake (as common as it may be – i always trust your recipes)
– Honeycomb cheesecake
– Penne arrabiata
Since covid I get my smiles and laughs where I can. I love Dozer and I really like you. Your site makes me happy and your recipes are fabulous. I use my air-fryer a lot now and would love more recipes. Cheers to people who love their dogs. They are the best people.
Could you please make Bread Pudding, or in Spanish Budin de Pan? I’ve been getting into Peruvian food lately and want to learn how to make everything peruvian, like ceviche, etc…. but using Ingredients found in Australia as opposed to America or South America like the other you tube channels show. Maybe a 3 course Peruvian feast would be good too! Thanks!!
Could you add a recipe category for freezer friendly meals please? I know a lot of us like to meal prep in advance so this would help us a lot. Thank you 🙂
Hi Nagi,
I came across your Byron bay cookie recipe and was impressed that you had a recipe for it. There’s two things I absolutely love and would love to make at home
1. Pistachio cookies that a lot of cafes sell (I don’t know if it’s a variety of amaretti but these are green in colour and quite chunky) (and costs about $4 each!!)
2. Carmens Belgian chocolate brownie oat slice bites – these fix my chocolate craving while being healthy 🙂
Hopefully you find this exciting enough to crack the recipe!
Hi Nagi,
I wasn’t going to add my 2¢ worth, but decided to anyway.
I am keen on low carb but not necessarily low cal, keen on slow cooker meals, and I am all for worthy vegetarian (not vegan) meals as long as they are filling and tasty, but if you start using nut milks and gluten free stuff I will have to find another favourite food website!
I have loved your Chinese dishes, and cakes, and the whole Christmas stuff- my real opinion is to keep doing what you have been doing, it’s fantastic.
Cheers.
Happy New Year Nagi! 😊 Can you please feature more work lunch ideas and weekly meal plans / freezer-friendly meals? You have helped me and my family so much through your recipes; same goes with all my friends whom I’ve recommended your blog to. Thank you and have a bountiful 2021!
Hi Navi love all your recipes . Maybe freezer recipes as I freeze dinners for my dad would be good . And like your Arabian nights maybe French Italian German Polish . We have a pizza oven maybe more recipes for what you can cook in these 👌👍Dozer doesn’t want vegan 😘
Nagi, I love all your recipes but since lockdown, I have put on sooo…..many kilos! Now we have another lockdown – more kilos! So some low carb recipes would be great – like your orange cake with almond flour. Thanks xx
Gluten and dairy free, and/or substitutes in other recipes. I already love many of your recipes, “My RecipeTin” is respectably full :).
Would love to learn more Asian dishes! (All those special ingredients are intimidating). Every recipe from you that I have tried has been terrific — you are my go-to cooking site! Merci 💕
I have to admit that I do not come to your website for meat free, low carb recipes, those I could find anywhere. I come for tasty, delicious food, which may or may not contain meat. I think what you’ve been showing us is just right, please don’t change.
Nagi,
feed the man meat!!!
Let the vegans just go away to their rock caves.
Oh Dennis… there is SO MUCH MEAT coming up in the coming weeks!! I need my meat 😂
Please keep up with the meat and hearty wholesome cooking. Too many of my other favorite chefs have gone very meat free, healthy eating etc, and while this is fine in its own right, everything in its measure! Please don’t change Nagi, stick with what you’re great at!
