Talk to me! Tell me what you want.

It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?

And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!

The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.

The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.

Thus, I turn to you to ask –

Tell me what you want for 2021!

Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:

  • More greens, less meat

  • More fish!

  • Work lunch ideas

  • More Dozer (🤞🏼!)

  • Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb

  • Freezer friendly recipes

  • Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)

  • Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort

I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.

So, talk to me!! – Nagi x

PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!

PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢

I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.

And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)

Life of Dozer

Launching into 2021, Dozer style:

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰

Heather – you can’t imagine how much duck I actually cooked in 2020! I was working on a couple of recipes but just couldn’t get happy enough with them / not doable enough for home cooks. One was Chinese BBQ Duck. It was PERFECT…. but only works with small Asian butcher ducks. The other was classic roast duck. I was just never fully convinced about the sauce for the duck! They are high on my list for this year 🙂 I’m calling in some big guns to help with ideas! N x

Would love to see meals based upon seasonal produce. For instance right now we have an abundance of starfruit!

Hi Nagi, Lurve your recipes (and maybe Dozer just as much, no not more, but hmmm… close call 🤔😉😍) I love every recipe I’ve tried, maybe 20 so far, all have been tasty and amazing. I love that you provide subs and also comments about what you use or recommend. Honestly, just keep doing what you are doing, love your work… and Dozer 😂😍💕

    Hi Nagi!
I love your recipe, I tried so many of your salads and soups. I would love to see more low cal options since this girl is on a journey to lose weight. I still enjoy your normal recipe, i just reduce the oil and most of the time it works. Thank you for the effort you put in this.

Nagi I’d love more vegetarian main dish/main meal recipes.
Your samosa pie was a recent big hit success.
    Maybe more legume focused recipes.
We want to have a more sustainable diet for us & the planet.
    And yes, more Dozer fun.
    Thanks for all you do.

    Hi Nagi
We have an anaphylactic member in our household (seafood/nuts). We have loved the ‘like takeaway meals’ and the supermarket recommendations for sauces/ pastes/ products (and especially the possible substitutes). We have so loved having safe, tasty Asian food again! We have also eaten our way through much of the Xmas, Mexican, One pot and slow cooker meals. So whilst not particularly helpful in what we’d like more of – the brand research and substitutes help us enormously! Thank you

More work lunch ideas would be perfect, particularly on the healthy side and still delicious enough to make coworkers jealous if offices ever become a thing again. Otherwise, freezer friendly and the feasts would be fun. But I would also just love more of whatever is in your brain – you’re the only food blog I’ve never had a recipe I didn’t enjoy or go randomly wrong.

ahhhhh Nagi, our thoughts go out to you and Dozer, just as you’ve given so much to us in Melbourne – you’ve been such a great boost over the past few months. All I can say is just keep being you, and we’re there with you all the way!
