Talk to me! Tell me what you want.

It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?

And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!

The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.

The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.

Thus, I turn to you to ask –

Tell me what you want for 2021!

Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:

  • More greens, less meat

  • More fish!

  • Work lunch ideas

  • More Dozer (🤞🏼!)

  • Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb

  • Freezer friendly recipes

  • Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)

  • Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort

I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.

So, talk to me!! – Nagi x

PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!

PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢

I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.

And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)

Life of Dozer

Launching into 2021, Dozer style:

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰

I have three requests (greedy, I know!) – more whole menu suggestions (love them, find them really useful for entertaining), more slow cooker recipes (really love my slow cooker) and more vegan recipes (I have a vegan son) or recipes that can be taken to a certain point and then maybe taken in two directions, one for the vegan and one for the rest of us die-hard meat eaters (a tall order, I know). Keep up the brilliant work, we are in our third full lockdown here in England and receiving your emails is a real highlight.

    Hi Nagi,

I’d love to see your version of chicken and dumplings. I’ve seen American version, however there are things that don’t really fit with Aussie cooking ingredients and seasonings.

    Love your work!!

P.S I completely agree about the whole banana thing 🤢🤮

Hi Nagi, Hmmm, if I could have anything, I’d love if you could do me up a meal plan. Cook a batch on Sunday and then spin all of that out throughout the week. You have such great recipes and flavour bases but I just don’t have the time to put it all in a logical order.
Also, I’d really love more plant/vegetarian-based meals. I don’t have enough in my repertoire. It would be great if you could maybe do a whole meatless menu.
Thank you for your great work. I do appreciate everything you do for this site.

    Hi Nagi, Happy New Year!
I am glad that lockdown has ended for you! After your support for us in Melbourne last year, I really felt for you.

I would love more family slow cooker meals that I can set and forget and serve with rice or vegies.

I would also love more vegetarian meals (love your brazilian coconut curry and your soups!) that I can serve a family. I would like to cut back our meat but mushroom burgers just won’t cut it!!

I also love your feast banquet meal plans – lots of fun, and looking forward to your portuguese tart recipe and more desserts to try too.

Keep up the great work – we love trying your recipes!

    Thanks

      Hi Nagi.
I have some rather random ones
Dinner ideas for a 5:2 diet (so around 300 cal).
But the big one is chicken dishes my husband will eat without complaining its chicken!!! He is all about the red meat and likes sauce.
I would like Singapore noodles that taste like the real thing.
And always more Dozer and zero banana! (Eeeewwww banana 🍌)

One pan (like tray bake) and slow cooker recipes for the win! But also, I love recipes where you suggest this with that, like the pho brisket works well in the viet shredded beef, you know, cook this eat two ways type meals!
But really, everything you do is delicious, never let me down yet!

Hi Nagi, I agree with many of the others. Recipes for two and some Meatless Monday recipes would be great! I am with you with the banana, hubby loves his on his breakfast and leaves the peels in the compost bin. Eww! 🙁

We live in Northern California. My husband is from ElSalvador. His family make the best tamales and she passed away without sharing her recipe. The Puppsas I can make, but tamales ? It is a light masa, with Turkey or chicken, chunks of potatoes and green onions mix in, wrapped in a banana leaf and steamed. Please help me if you can

I’d like to see some more satisfying vege and vegan dishes. I’m not a vegetarian nor a vegan but I am trying to eat more meatless dishes over the week.

That and more Asian dishes. I can never eat too much Asian food so keep the Japanese, Thai, Indian, Vietnamese, etc, etc coming as well Nagi.

Happy New Year from the frozen wilds of Vikingland!

Hi Nagi, my husband and I love your recipes so much. We lost our beautiful 2 and 1/2 year old St. Bernard in June 2020. His name was Leo. Watching you and Dozer makes us feel happy. My husband asked for a beautiful beef casserole recipe. Could you help. I’m not on Facebook or Twitter or I could send a photo of Leo. Thanks so much.
