Talk to me! Tell me what you want.

It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?

And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!

The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.

The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.

Thus, I turn to you to ask –

Tell me what you want for 2021!

Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:

  • More greens, less meat

  • More fish!

  • Work lunch ideas

  • More Dozer (🤞🏼!)

  • Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb

  • Freezer friendly recipes

  • Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)

  • Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort

I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.

So, talk to me!! – Nagi x

PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!

PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢

I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.

And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)

Life of Dozer

Launching into 2021, Dozer style:

Dozer jumping into pool

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰

I love mild, coconut-based curries! Your Thai curries are in steady rotation on my dinner menu. Given that your green, red and massaman curries are so amazing, I’d love a recipe for Thai yellow curry too!

That explains A LOT! I have on multiple occasions put ‘banana’ in the search box and wondered why wouldn’t you have banana bread (which I looove!) on here. Also to add my 10y old ‘hates’ bananas (nope I’m not to blame, she just doesn’t like the smell or taste or looks of it lol) She would love Dozer more now that his human hates bananas too 😅
My request for 2021 would be more savoury vegetarian snacks, I bake muffins/cookies etc every week but need to cut on sugar and there’s only as much popcorn to scoff down! Bonus if they’re kid friendly and last more than a day!
Would also like to see more nut based recipes
I read someone commented macarons which I know are a pain to get right but if anyone can do it, it’s you! I have tried a few times but they’re so temperamental! I know I said cut down sugar but well ahem surely home made will be way less sweet than the store bought ones 😊
Please keep on doing the great work you do.. and more power to Dozer leaping in the new year!

Hope to hear from you soon

I’d love to see more vegetarian mains, more easy tray bakes and more lower calorie options. I love love love your recipes, they’re so simple and delicious, but they’re often a bit too rich to do every night.

Is suggested wine-pairing pushing our luck for a line in the Notes section?

    Hi Nagi
I’m finally responding to what I would like to see this year! My cholesterol is up so I’m looking for low salt or none! I’ve been using a few of the heart foundation recipes.
    Kind Regards

I LOVE your complete menu for Arabian Nights. Even before pandemic stay-homeness, I would sometimes prepare a full themed meal for a date-at-home-night based on a few menus I found online several years ago. They are nice, but they are very traditionally American. (Even the Chinese menu! lol)
I’d love to spice things up with some different menu ideas – especially more authentic ones from around the world!

I’ve only discovered your site in 2020 and I nearly everything I’ve fixed has been awesome! (And I assume the one that was bland was my own error.) Thank you for making these great recipes available to the rest of us!

Dear Nagi, what I would LOVE to see is some instructional videos of the food prep for the more ‘novice’ cook that wants to really improve skills in the kitchen!
For example, I love making your Thai chicken satay sticks, but would love to see a short video on preparation of the chicken thighs. ie: how to clean and cut correctly. I think some instructional videos on the meat preparation of your recipes would be of amazing benefit for those of us trying to improve!
    Thanks Nagi!

Hey Nagi, do you have a go to steak dinner that is sure to win over the manliest man with its simplicity and flavour? I’ve done your mushroom sauce to death lol. Also I’d love some solid tips on cooking the perfect steak as I can’t seem to nail it. Thanks in advance 🙂
