Talk to me! Tell me what you want.

It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?

And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!

The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.

The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.

Thus, I turn to you to ask –

Tell me what you want for 2021!

Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:

  • More greens, less meat

  • More fish!

  • Work lunch ideas

  • More Dozer (🤞🏼!)

  • Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb

  • Freezer friendly recipes

  • Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)

  • Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort

I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.

So, talk to me!! – Nagi x

PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!

PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢

I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.

And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰

    Hi Nagi,
Since stumbling across your website a number of years ago, you’ve become a staple for our family meals each week. If it’s not from you or Ottolenghi, it’s probably not going to be on our table.
Recently I’ve found out that I have (really) high cholesterol. While I can easily find lots of delicious recipes that are low fat, low carb, low sugar etc., Im struggling to find anything that is clearly low cholesterol (I also need to educate myself better on this).
    Looking for inspiration!
Would it be possible to have this as a category for your recipes?

    Hi Nagi.
I have both your cookbook and rely on your recipes at least 4 nights a week especially the Asian ones (haven’t had an Asian takeout for over a year now!)
I would like (in no particular order)
    1. More Dozer!!!
    2. Low Carb meals. I make my own adjustments to some of your recipes as I’m on a low carb diet but would love some super tasty fun low carb recipes pretty please. My husband is diabetic and low carb is good for him too!
    3. Some low calorie meals.. we like to indulge in some of your richer dishes a bit too often so some super low calorie (but still yummy) dishes would be great to balance things out a bit please.
    4. Low sugar/diabetic friendly recipes.

I adore your food and your personality 🥰

NagiNagi Nagi. You’ve let me down …. something you NEVER usually do. Got a pile of bananas from the roadside stand, googled Nagi for a recipe and ….*shocked face* NO BANANA BREAD!! Mon Dieu!! And how funny – SO many people have done the same thing, wanting banana bread. I’ve got a new stove/oven and I’ve been baking up a storm – bliss to know things are the right temperature, and I don’t have to open the door to see my treasures baking! But it looks like I’ll have to go elsewhere for my banana bread recipe. I’ve been exclusively Nagi all year, cooking my way through ‘Tonight’. Husband is huge, and fat Beagle has been told to lose 1/3 of his body weight as he’s pre – wdiabetic (at two years old – blame Nagi!!!) I’ve always enjoyed cooking, but Nagi you have taken things to the next level, particularly with the fact you KNOW the recipe will both work out, AND be scrumptious. I’ll abandon my hankering for banana bread, and get on with the rest of the menu for today. Chicken Shawarma, flatbreads, Thai chicken skewers with satay, baked chinese chicken fried rice and ratatouille … and perhaps a batch of jam drops, seeing as though Nagi hasn’t come with the goods for banana bread. Nagi, you CAN teach an old dog new tricks … why don’t you give it a bash? You know so many of us will be delighted if you do! Thanks for bringing such delight into all our lives – not only with your magnificent recipes, but with your warmth, authenticity and infusing all you do with your lovely humour. PLUS being a crazy dog lady. We’re much the same in our household. and when the time comes for Dozer to go over the rainbow bridge, the world will mourn with you. Lost our staffy this year, so I got a new pup straight away to fill the hole in our hearts. Staffy was called ‘Arrow’ and new pup ‘Bo’. When you get your next fur bub you can call him ‘Bull’.

Love you lots … I’m off to preheat the oven xxxxxx

So we’re all here in 2024 just to beg Nagi for a Banana Bread recipe huh? 😂
I get it though – I still wont eat a banana on its own for the same reasons!

Came here to comment as the number 1 thing it would be banana bread and saw the comment below. 😄 I’ve also read about Nagis dislike for bananas but if Nagi you ever decide to challenge that or give it a chance… it would be appreciated. 🙏
It’s been a hassle going through other ppls foodblogs and having dissappointing banana bread results. 🍌 Same with banoffe pie.

Some other things that would also be welcome are sourdough recipe, panna cotta recipe, beesting recipe, classic French vanilla slice recipe and the classic Russian honey cake with the many layers (looks quite different to the honey cake you have here).

Another flavour for the birthday dog cake recipe would be lovely too. 😍 I’m sure Dozer would also appreciate that. 🦮 Also I don’t know if you ever bake interesting dog treats and have some ideas for that?

Thank you for all your food magic so far!!! ✨️ 🙏✨️

Ok this is hilarious. I was searching your site for a banana bread recipe, because I know you’ll have the best recipe possible. And I was surprised there isn’t one. Lucky I came across this post in my search which explains why lol. One day Nagi, one day, please give us your take on banana bread! 😂 probably without the bananas I’m guessing!

Easy, quick, but tasty cold lunchbox ideas would be great. Adult and kid friendly or kid modified so one lunch can be made to fill the whole family’s lunchboxes. Thanks

Hi Nagi, I’d love more kid-friendly lunchbox recipes. Especially ones my kid can try making himself. He’s made the Lunchbox Pizza, which he loves, especially since he left out all the vegetable toppings. 🍕🤪

Hi Nagi, could you add ‘cook mode’ to your website? so when we are cooking we can select cook mode on the recipe page and the screen stays on (instead of timing out and going black)!
