Request a recipe!

I spend an inordinate amount of time deciding which recipes to share.

My biggest problem is that there are so many recipes I want to share, things that get me doing the jiggy because it’s so good but then before I dash off to film and photograph the recipe, I pause and think – will my readers get excited about this too?? Will they really go and try this?

It’s always interesting when I publish a new recipe to see how many people read it. After 4 years of blogging (that’s middle aged in Internet terms!), you’d think I’d be able to get it right 100% of the time.

And mostly, I can.

I knew you’d love the Sticky Honey Mustard Drumsticks and go bonkers over the Pad Thai and Tikka Masala. I didn’t expect you’d be clamouring for the Quiche Lorraine or Avocado Dip, and I guessed right. 🙂

But other times, you surprise me! I did not expect such an amazing response to the Homemade Pastrami from last Friday, nor that the Garlic Butter Kale Rice would become such a firm favourite!

Recent Reader Favourite Recipes - Tikka Masala, Pastrami, Pad Thai

And after all those hours of contemplating what recipes I think you want, it finally dawned on me: Why don’t I ask you??

DUH!

And so, here we are. Finally – because it took me so ridiculously to arrive at this point – FINALLY I’m asking you:

WHAT RECIPES DO YOU WANT ME TO SHARE?

Drop your requests in the comments section below!

Be as specific or as general as you want. I just ask 2 simple things:

  1. Please do a quick little Search to see if I’ve already shared it!

  2. No banana anything! It’s the only normal thing I can’t stand. Awful, smelly, slimy things that they are!?

{UPDATE: Scroll to the top for a list of requested recipes that I have published!}

I obviously can’t promise that I’ll share every recipe requested, being that I’m just one person who does need to sleep on occasion! But I’ll certainly share the most requested ones, and I’ll regularly pop back here when I’m planning my recipe calendar.

Hi Nagi, I recently found your website and have been referring to it constantly for ideas now.

I would love it if you could include some spicy crab recipes. And my daughters favourite, chicken nacho’s!

    Many thanks

I am still playing ketchup with all your recipes 🙂
But I would like to know how in the world to make green beans like the Asian restaurants..
The buffet is closed now.. but they called them steamed green bean.. and they had a smoky flavor..
There was no meat in them to give them a smoky flavor.. but I believe they had a bit of onion..
I love the flavor of pork fried rice.. and green bean.. but can’t figure how they do it..
I would love to see any low fat recipes you may have in future posts..
    Thanks Nagi 🙂

Hi. This is Yumiko, Nagi’s mother here. I posted Japanese Curry recipe in my blog, RecipeTin Japan but I have not done a vegetarian version. I’d have to work on it. I will add this to my ‘to do’ list.

Hi. This is Yumiko, Nagi’s mother here. I have a similar dish to beef negimaki in my recipe blog, RecipeTin Japan. My recipe is called Beef Rolls with Asparagus. If you replace asparagus with scallions, I think it will become very close to what you are after. Blanch scallions before rolling.

    Hi Nagi,

    What a brilliant idea!..

Would like more slow cooker recipes, WITH A TWIST! – something completely different than just a chicken/beef/lamb
    curry, or casserole, roast etc…

I am enjoying all your recipes Nagi.

    Look forward to your feedback.

    Hi Nagi
My mum used to make a slice with chocolate icing. The base was biscuity with coconut and she used to ice it while hot so the icing would be shiny and crunchy. I’ve tried umpteen recipes but nothing like it. Maybe you or your readers might have some old slice recipes around
    Big hugs to Dozer xxxx

Hello Michele, The recipe I think you are looking for is ‘chocolate rough slice’, my Mum also used to make it regularly in the 80s.

Did that have a chocolate base? This one didn’t.

      Hey Michele,

I have my mum’s old recipe for “chocolate dream bars” that sounds really similar. It has desiccated coconut in it and you pour the choc icing on hot so it gets a good crack on top! It doesn’t have a biscuit base though…
I grew up on this slice, I reckon it’s from the 80’s! It’s super easy and I make it all the time, massive crowd pleaser. Let me know if you want me to share the recipe with you 🙂

        Hi Laina

Your recipe sounds great, though I don’t think it’s the same. I’d say this recipe would be from 60s. Still, I’d love to give your recipe a go

        Cheers

    Hi Nagi & Dozer,
    Luv the blog.
Would it be too much to request a recipe for Yum Cha chickens feet & deep fried squid tentacles.
I live in rural Victoria Aus & find it difficult to get my fav Yum Cha hit! LOL

Thanks again for all the recipes & be assured I share them with my Lab Inky (no use just cooking for one!)
