Request a recipe!
I spend an inordinate amount of time deciding which recipes to share.
My biggest problem is that there are so many recipes I want to share, things that get me doing the jiggy because it’s so good but then before I dash off to film and photograph the recipe, I pause and think – will my readers get excited about this too?? Will they really go and try this?
It’s always interesting when I publish a new recipe to see how many people read it. After 4 years of blogging (that’s middle aged in Internet terms!), you’d think I’d be able to get it right 100% of the time.
And mostly, I can.
I knew you’d love the Sticky Honey Mustard Drumsticks and go bonkers over the Pad Thai and Tikka Masala. I didn’t expect you’d be clamouring for the Quiche Lorraine or Avocado Dip, and I guessed right. 🙂
But other times, you surprise me! I did not expect such an amazing response to the Homemade Pastrami from last Friday, nor that the Garlic Butter Kale Rice would become such a firm favourite!
And after all those hours of contemplating what recipes I think you want, it finally dawned on me: Why don’t I ask you??
DUH!
And so, here we are. Finally – because it took me so ridiculously to arrive at this point – FINALLY I’m asking you:
WHAT RECIPES DO YOU WANT ME TO SHARE?
Drop your requests in the comments section below!
Be as specific or as general as you want. I just ask 2 simple things:
-
Please do a quick little Search to see if I’ve already shared it!
-
No banana anything! It’s the only normal thing I can’t stand. Awful, smelly, slimy things that they are!?
{UPDATE: Scroll to the top for a list of requested recipes that I have published!}
I obviously can’t promise that I’ll share every recipe requested, being that I’m just one person who does need to sleep on occasion! But I’ll certainly share the most requested ones, and I’ll regularly pop back here when I’m planning my recipe calendar.
LIFE OF DOZER
Hairdresser appointments are always extremely productive – I get my highlights and make recipe videos. Dozer gets his pats.
You’ve made so many lovely flavoured rice recipes, which is great as it’s stopped my partner buying Uncle Ben’s micro packets which are pricey/full of preserves/full of salt etc. Except for one flavour, tomato and basil rice! So yeah, that would be awesome.
And I know you’ve done plenty of meatball recipes, but some sort of polpette al forno with all the pasta and sauce baked with the meatballs too. So good. I better go before I request the world.
Oooh! YES I will do that, I love the thought of that! The Mexican Red Rice is the perfect base, just need to figure out the best way to add basil flavour! As for polpette al forno pasta bake – YES!! 🙌🏻 I think that one better happen sooner rather than later…. N xx
Homemade Spam, please!
Wooooah! Never thought of trying that!!
Hey Nagi,
Today I visited a beautiful Japanese restaurant which served up the best ever ramen in a fish stock – it was just DIVINE. I would LOVE to know how to make this! I know your mum does have a ramen recipe but I think it’s a ready made stock.
Loving your recipes as always X
Hi. This is Yumiko, Nagi’s mother here. Thanks for the request. I tried ramen in a fish stock using snapper in Japan. It was amazing. I have a couple of requests for Rame stock already and this has to be added to my to do list as well.
Hi Yumiko,
Thank you so much for your reply! I have signed up for your receipes a while ago now so already receive them. Looking forward to this one for sure!!
Would love to see you or your mother do a fluffy Japanese pancake recipe! I have seen others but have had such success with both of your recipes would like to try one from you first!
Hi. This is Yumiko, Nagi’s mother here. I shall one day try and post Japanese pancake. Promise!
That would be amazing!
By the way, my husband LOVES your Teriyaki Chicken! And I’ll be trying your cheesecake recipe as soon as I get some time!

Hi Nagi ,
I would love if you could do bone in KFC.
I so appreciate all of your recipes ….. Thanks !
OMG that has been on my list for SO LONG! I’ve tried several times, still not happy!
Hi Nagi,
I would love a good Massaman Curry recipe. I have tried on many occasions, and whilst it doesn’t taste bad, it just never seems to have the depth of different flavours.
I love your website. The recipes are fabulous! Your writing style always has a good dose of humour sprinkled throughout, which never fails to bring a smile to my face after a long stressful day at work! And let’s not forget to mention the regular Dozer updates, which are so very funny and cute.

This is high up on my recipe development list!! It’s a “hard” one 🙂
Hi Nagi! I clicked on where I said to click here to reply but then it brought me right to your website so I hope you don’t mind me responding this way? anyways, Mia is a rescue Pitbull. and around Thanksgiving Will have been together for 7 years! they found her running around in a couple towns over Starving and dehydrated and only weighing 22 pounds! She was not in very good shape I guess from reading the Vets report. But her foster mother actually saved her because they were going to put her down because she wasn’t cage friendly! so luckily and thankfully, Mindy, her foster mother took her in and I eventually found her And I am so thankful! Mindy went on to finish up her schooling at a vet school down in Missouri for 4 years and now she is a practicing vet. and I have been in touch with her over the years because she wanted to know how Mis was doing. as she really is The love of my life! And honestly, I think you will agree that dogs are much better than humans! the bond we have together doesn’t even come close to anything I’ve had with a person, ever!
Anyways, just thinking about the way she was treated Makes me very emotional about how bad people can treat animals!
Thanks, for letting me vent 🙂
It’s so sad to hear that but also heartwarming to hear how you two found each other! Mia is so lucky to have you – and you her 🙂 Enjoy every day you have with her! N xx
Hi Nagi
Any recipe using Lao Gan Ma Chili Crisp Sauce would be wonderful.
Thank you.
Cauliflower Gnocchi pleaseee! 😊😃
Really?? I don’t know…. every time I try a cauliflower something like pizza or bread, I’ve always been disappointed!!!
Hi Nagi,
Love your site and your recipes. I am looking for a recipe called Glazed Shrimp that is served at my local Korean restaurant. It is a stir-fried dish using large shrimp, zuchinni, carrots, onions, garlic, and cabbage but I don’t know what the sauce is.There is not a lot of sauce and it is not usually spicy (I add some spice at the table). This is served over rice and is very quick to make if veggies are prepared ahead. Good for a special occasion or a week night meal.
Thanks in advance.
Sherry
Hmm! Is it sweet and savoury flavours? What colour is it?? N x
Okonomiyaki pretty please!
Also I have been looking for a recipe for borek made with a Turkish bread style dough. There is a famous shop at Victoria Market in Melbourne that sells amazing borek. They are not the phyllo pastry type borek, but a Turkish bread type dough with fillings (such as spinach and ricotta or spicy lamb mince). With the fluffier Turkish bread they taste amazing!
Okonomiyaki is already on my mum’s site RecipeTin Japan! There’s a link to her site on my menu – then just search for it! As for borek – I thought it was supposed to be made with phyllo???? I think I’m due for a tasting trip to Melbourne…..
Hi Nagi, yes I agree, normally borek are made with a phyllo pastry, but these turkish bread style ones are amazing. And I would think they would be easier to make without the phyllo too?
You can see some photos of the borek here:
https://www.zomato.com/melbourne/the-borek-shop-elizabeth-street-cbd-melbourne/photos
I can see! You’re right, looks like Turkish bread wrapped around the filling in a flat burrito shape. I am pretty sure I could make it but I’d need to taste it to replicate as close as possible 🙂 It actually looks like a Turkish pide in a different shape. YUM!
Me too, me too. Please, please. I agree with Yolanda, the borek is yum and Deb and I always have it in time for lunch when we go to Vic Market.
I need to get down to Melbourne soon….
how about something with clams and / or oysters .
Chop Suey
I’ve done it!
Hi Nagi
