Request a recipe!

I spend an inordinate amount of time deciding which recipes to share.

My biggest problem is that there are so many recipes I want to share, things that get me doing the jiggy because it’s so good but then before I dash off to film and photograph the recipe, I pause and think – will my readers get excited about this too?? Will they really go and try this?

It’s always interesting when I publish a new recipe to see how many people read it. After 4 years of blogging (that’s middle aged in Internet terms!), you’d think I’d be able to get it right 100% of the time.

And mostly, I can.

I knew you’d love the Sticky Honey Mustard Drumsticks and go bonkers over the Pad Thai and Tikka Masala. I didn’t expect you’d be clamouring for the Quiche Lorraine or Avocado Dip, and I guessed right. 🙂

But other times, you surprise me! I did not expect such an amazing response to the Homemade Pastrami from last Friday, nor that the Garlic Butter Kale Rice would become such a firm favourite!

Recent Reader Favourite Recipes - Tikka Masala, Pastrami, Pad Thai

And after all those hours of contemplating what recipes I think you want, it finally dawned on me: Why don’t I ask you??

DUH!

And so, here we are. Finally – because it took me so ridiculously to arrive at this point – FINALLY I’m asking you:

WHAT RECIPES DO YOU WANT ME TO SHARE?

Drop your requests in the comments section below!

Be as specific or as general as you want. I just ask 2 simple things:

  1. Please do a quick little Search to see if I’ve already shared it!

  2. No banana anything! It’s the only normal thing I can’t stand. Awful, smelly, slimy things that they are!?

{UPDATE: Scroll to the top for a list of requested recipes that I have published!}

I obviously can’t promise that I’ll share every recipe requested, being that I’m just one person who does need to sleep on occasion! But I’ll certainly share the most requested ones, and I’ll regularly pop back here when I’m planning my recipe calendar.

I would like to see a Nagi-tested recipe for Creamed Cauliflower.

My grandmother used to make this all the time… cauliflower baked in a rich, cream sauce with crunchy bread crumbs (sometimes she’d do a broccoli version, too).

There are many recipes out there for Creamed Cauliflower – some add cheese, some don’t (I like cheese!) It typically requires heavy cream but I’d like to see a creamy alternative (half & half? non-dairy creamer? something else?). I don’t need a diet recipe – just let it taste good!

I’m getting ready to make my second turkey (my free turkey from Thanksgiving time) using your roasted turkey directions for dry brining. I’m very excited! Feast day is in two days, Friday – USA).

In the the meantime, I am coming up with ideas for sides instead of the usual and I thought Creamed Cauliflower would be a comforting alternative to green bean casserole! Thx!

PS – I need to send Dozer some lovin’. Any chance you can add a heart icon that people can click on and “fill” when they love a pic of Dozer? <3 <3 <3

Hi Cynthia, like a cauliflower gratin? https://promotown.info/creamy-parmesan-garlic-broccoli-casserole-gratin-bake/%3C/a%3E – Similar to this? I hope you enjoy the turkey and I love the idea of the heart emoji for Dozer!

Hi Nagi! Thanks for the recipe suggestion. 🙏
I made your Creamy Parmesan Garlic Broccoli Casserole and replaced the broccoli with cauliflower. It was delicious! BUT it’s not the same as Creamed Cauliflower/Broccoli. I think the main difference is the cheese – no melted cheese and no parmesan cheese. Just a cream sauce with breadcrumbs.

My dry-brined turkey came out great. 🦃 So glad I could finally try your recipe 😊

        Sending lovin’ to dozer. 💗

PLEASE do a recipe for Chinese Hot and Sour Soup. I’ve tried many recipes and they never taste as good as in the restaurant. I know I’m missing something. And I know you can figure out what that “something” is.
I’ve tried several of your recipes (have quite a few more bookmarked, too), and they have all turned our great. Thank YOU!!! Great recipes, great photos, adorable dog. Plus yours is the only food blog that I actually read the narrative–quite interesting, informative, and sometimes humorous. (Now, did I butter you up enough to do the Hot & Sour recipe?!)
    Thanks again. Love your blog.
