Request a recipe!

I spend an inordinate amount of time deciding which recipes to share.

My biggest problem is that there are so many recipes I want to share, things that get me doing the jiggy because it’s so good but then before I dash off to film and photograph the recipe, I pause and think – will my readers get excited about this too?? Will they really go and try this?

It’s always interesting when I publish a new recipe to see how many people read it. After 4 years of blogging (that’s middle aged in Internet terms!), you’d think I’d be able to get it right 100% of the time.

And mostly, I can.

I knew you’d love the Sticky Honey Mustard Drumsticks and go bonkers over the Pad Thai and Tikka Masala. I didn’t expect you’d be clamouring for the Quiche Lorraine or Avocado Dip, and I guessed right. 🙂

But other times, you surprise me! I did not expect such an amazing response to the Homemade Pastrami from last Friday, nor that the Garlic Butter Kale Rice would become such a firm favourite!

Recent Reader Favourite Recipes - Tikka Masala, Pastrami, Pad Thai

And after all those hours of contemplating what recipes I think you want, it finally dawned on me: Why don’t I ask you??

DUH!

And so, here we are. Finally – because it took me so ridiculously to arrive at this point – FINALLY I’m asking you:

WHAT RECIPES DO YOU WANT ME TO SHARE?

Drop your requests in the comments section below!

Be as specific or as general as you want. I just ask 2 simple things:

  1. Please do a quick little Search to see if I’ve already shared it!

  2. No banana anything! It’s the only normal thing I can’t stand. Awful, smelly, slimy things that they are!?

{UPDATE: Scroll to the top for a list of requested recipes that I have published!}

I obviously can’t promise that I’ll share every recipe requested, being that I’m just one person who does need to sleep on occasion! But I’ll certainly share the most requested ones, and I’ll regularly pop back here when I’m planning my recipe calendar.

Hi Nagi. We love your cooking and live by your site.
I have a challenge: We have dinner early (kids) and later on as I’m relaxing, my sweet tooth revs up. Could you please create a filling, low cal, sweetish snack?

Hi Nagi, I would love to see recipes for sweet glutinous rice balls, like you can get in the Haymarket , and Asian noodle biscuits we used to buy them in the small deli’s in Darwin and I’ve never been able to find a recipe. Love your site.

Long ago, when I was young, I was a waitress at a very popular Cantonese restaurant. (burned down and owners long since retired) Two dishes I wish I knew how to make….. Chicken and beansprouts and their shrimp fried rice. The first is so simple, but I can’t seem to replicate the sauce. The 2nd, it was a full meal and had so many veggies in it. I loved both and ate more than my share of both.

Hi Nagi, I’d like to see a pate recipe that would be nice on a Bahn Mi. The flavour of store bought pate varies a lot and just doesn’t taste right!! I read somewhere that pate, with a layer of butter over the top, can be frozen in portions, which would be convenient to have on hand for a quick snack with some crackers etc.

I found your site a few days ago and am thrilled I did. My wife and I cooked a couple of recipes that were wonderful. We now have a 3 ring binder of ones we will try.

    Hi Nagi!!!
Couple of requests – firstly, your take on an apple and fennel salad – I adore fennel, I think it is a seriously under-rated vegetable! 🙂

I recently sampled a deep fried eggplant with sweet chili sauce at a very unassuming looking restaurant in my hometown – you know, the sort of place you would discount at first glance. OMG, this was seriously spectacular. SERIOUSLY! Take a bite through the crunchy exterior of the eggplant to be greeted by the molten insides slowly oozing over your tastebuds. (drooling at the memory)
I’m picking the eggplant was salted then coated in cornflour and deep fried – the sauce was spectacular. Garlicky, chili-ey, not heat-hot not super sweet ….. interested to know if you have come across anything remotely similar in your travels?

Hugs to you, thank you for spectacular recipes, I’ve not had one failure!!! (Oh, a hug for Dozer too!!)

    Regards, Ali

Ali!! You won’t believe this – I have a fennel salad sitting there waiting to be edited to share! It doesn’t have apple though, it is a shaved fennel and parmesan salad with lemon dressing, it’s so good, it’s the sort of salad that appears at fancy restaurants. I will get it up in the next couple of weeks. Regarding the eggplant, I am pretty sure I know what you mean! I have been meaning to share a crispy fried eggplant recipe for so long and was thinking of a similar sauce 🙂 I will pop it on my list! N x

I’ve still got a long way to go before I run out of recipes and inspiration from your blog but I would love to see your take on General Tso’s Chicken. Love the sticky/crunchy/hot n sour ness of this dish which is not so common here in OZ 😥 at least in my parts! cheers Matt

A lovely, sticky apricot chicken. Bone-in, skin-on thighs are always the best. I picture it made with preserves, possibly nectar and of course dried fruit with basmati rice to go with the sauce. I’ve experimented with multiple recipes, but would love to try your spin on it.
