Request a recipe!

I spend an inordinate amount of time deciding which recipes to share.

My biggest problem is that there are so many recipes I want to share, things that get me doing the jiggy because it’s so good but then before I dash off to film and photograph the recipe, I pause and think – will my readers get excited about this too?? Will they really go and try this?

It’s always interesting when I publish a new recipe to see how many people read it. After 4 years of blogging (that’s middle aged in Internet terms!), you’d think I’d be able to get it right 100% of the time.

And mostly, I can.

I knew you’d love the Sticky Honey Mustard Drumsticks and go bonkers over the Pad Thai and Tikka Masala. I didn’t expect you’d be clamouring for the Quiche Lorraine or Avocado Dip, and I guessed right. 🙂

But other times, you surprise me! I did not expect such an amazing response to the Homemade Pastrami from last Friday, nor that the Garlic Butter Kale Rice would become such a firm favourite!

Recent Reader Favourite Recipes - Tikka Masala, Pastrami, Pad Thai

And after all those hours of contemplating what recipes I think you want, it finally dawned on me: Why don’t I ask you??

DUH!

And so, here we are. Finally – because it took me so ridiculously to arrive at this point – FINALLY I’m asking you:

WHAT RECIPES DO YOU WANT ME TO SHARE?

Drop your requests in the comments section below!

Be as specific or as general as you want. I just ask 2 simple things:

  1. Please do a quick little Search to see if I’ve already shared it!

  2. No banana anything! It’s the only normal thing I can’t stand. Awful, smelly, slimy things that they are!?

{UPDATE: Scroll to the top for a list of requested recipes that I have published!}

I obviously can’t promise that I’ll share every recipe requested, being that I’m just one person who does need to sleep on occasion! But I’ll certainly share the most requested ones, and I’ll regularly pop back here when I’m planning my recipe calendar.

Ooohhhhh I worked so hard on this in 2020 during COVID! I just couldn’t get happy with it. It’s so hard to get the splotchy brown without a ridiculously sweet custard, or burning the pastry. You really need a commercial oven with higher temp!! N x

I love your green curry recipe; any way you could make a thai mussel recipe? I checked out your reg mussel recipe and it’s quite easy to follow just like all your posts. I love that you can make a variety of food from all over the world.

Hi Anne Marie, you can make the KFC recipe and for a Hot & Spicy version – just add 2 tsp cayenne pepper into the breading! That will give it a nice buzz (but won’t blow your head off) – N x

OOH! I like your list 🙂 I have ham congee – because the ham bone makes a brilliant stock for congee (it’s a real Chinese congee). https://promotown.info/chinese-ham-bone-rice-soup-congee/%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E

You will find the Japanese recipes on my mum’s website -> http://japan.recipetineats.com

And a ridiculously addictive peanut sauce for salads is in this recipe -> https://promotown.info/chinese-chicken-salad-with-asian-peanut-salad-dressing/#wprm-recipe-container-24734%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E

    Hi Nagi

Thanks for great, accessible recipes from all the cuisines we love! Extra bonus is that you’re also in Australia! You are our go to for everything we want to make!

I was surprised that there was no recipe for Peking duck pancakes – any chance you have one to share? (Cooked duck is pretty accessible in Melbourne, so even just your go to pancake recipe with accompaniments would be great!)

Also, with lunar new year around the corner, do you have a bak kwa recipe?

    Thanks so much!

    Hi Nagi,
Our whole family love your recipes. My January challenge is to cook 2 new recipes of yours each week during the summer holidays. I made Mongolian lamb and veg stir fry last night and got 2 thumbs up on both recipes from my fussiest eater. And my husband says your mongolian lamb is better than any restaurant. But his ultimate favourite chinese dish is szechuan Chicken. The little country Chinese restaurant near where i grew up did an amazing one, and he can’t find anything like it.
Thanks for all the amazing recipes 🙂

I would love to see your recipe of Moo Shu Pork as it is a family favorite at a restaurant that I would want to make at home. I am currently studying Asian cooking following your recipes which have turned out great.

Merry Christmas! I was discussing with fam that we have yet to find a bomb buffalo chicken Mac and cheese. Moist crispy chicken with breaded Mac and cheese. Can be made with or without blue cheese (some of the family have sensitivity to it).

We don’t think a great recipe exists, but if you have any ideas they are surely welcomed!
