Request a recipe!
I spend an inordinate amount of time deciding which recipes to share.
My biggest problem is that there are so many recipes I want to share, things that get me doing the jiggy because it’s so good but then before I dash off to film and photograph the recipe, I pause and think – will my readers get excited about this too?? Will they really go and try this?
It’s always interesting when I publish a new recipe to see how many people read it. After 4 years of blogging (that’s middle aged in Internet terms!), you’d think I’d be able to get it right 100% of the time.
And mostly, I can.
I knew you’d love the Sticky Honey Mustard Drumsticks and go bonkers over the Pad Thai and Tikka Masala. I didn’t expect you’d be clamouring for the Quiche Lorraine or Avocado Dip, and I guessed right. 🙂
But other times, you surprise me! I did not expect such an amazing response to the Homemade Pastrami from last Friday, nor that the Garlic Butter Kale Rice would become such a firm favourite!
And after all those hours of contemplating what recipes I think you want, it finally dawned on me: Why don’t I ask you??
DUH!
And so, here we are. Finally – because it took me so ridiculously to arrive at this point – FINALLY I’m asking you:
WHAT RECIPES DO YOU WANT ME TO SHARE?
Drop your requests in the comments section below!
Be as specific or as general as you want. I just ask 2 simple things:
-
Please do a quick little Search to see if I’ve already shared it!
-
No banana anything! It’s the only normal thing I can’t stand. Awful, smelly, slimy things that they are!?
{UPDATE: Scroll to the top for a list of requested recipes that I have published!}
I obviously can’t promise that I’ll share every recipe requested, being that I’m just one person who does need to sleep on occasion! But I’ll certainly share the most requested ones, and I’ll regularly pop back here when I’m planning my recipe calendar.
LIFE OF DOZER
Hairdresser appointments are always extremely productive – I get my highlights and make recipe videos. Dozer gets his pats.
Hello Nagi, for me it is like Steve Jobs said” You cannot ask people what they want, because they don’t know what they want.
Like we did not know we wanted an Ipad, but boy did we loved it when he made it.
Same for your blog. I have it always open and read it first thing in the morning after the news paper sites. You present many tasty dishes that I did not know they existed. So keep on going, for me you are doing fine.
Expanding to other dishes like sugested sounds good for me.
My wife and I love your dishes since they work and are tasty, contrary to many other ones on the net that does not work or taste horrible.
Keep it up, great stuff and I love browsing through your site for dinner suggestions.

Can you add some fruit crisp and fruit crumble recipes ? Thank you.
Your Broth / Stock recipes would be great. Can’t see any when I search this on your website.
I would love it if you could post a recipe for bucatini guanciale. I am lucky to live just 20 metres from a cosy little italian restaurant in Sydney that does the most delicious bucatini guanciale. I go there at least once a month and I always order this dish because it is just sooo good. However, when I tried to find guanciale (cured pork jowl) at the shops in hope of recreating this dish at home, I couldn’t find it anywhere. I read that bacon or pancetta could be substituted – what do you think?
Hi Nagi!
Would love to see more wraps or sandwich recipes !
Thanks
Hi Nagi!
My mum and I were just talking tonight about Dahl…..I would love a semi easy Dahl recipe…If such a thing exists??
Thank you for all your inspiring recipes!
OMG it’s like you were hearing listening to a conversation I was having with my brother when I asked him for his daahl recipe!! It’s totally coming 🙂 N x
Something retro. Steak Diane, Chicken Kiev, Savoury Roulade and Crepe Suzette come to mind. Those were the days…….
Good day Nagi.
I am still waiting for an apple pie recipe and the full vegetarian dumpling filling recipe. 😊 But as others are requesting, empanadas sound good. Thank you!
As if you weren’t my favourite recipe blog already, and now you’re taking requests! <3
I can't count how many times I've searched your website for a massaman curry recipe (I make it a lot already, but I'm convinced it could be better if I had a Nagi recipe).
I'd also love a recipe for a silky Chinese egg sauce, my local restaurant serves it stir fried with noodles. I've tried, but I can't find a recipe anywhere!
And one last one, I'd love a good recipe for gingerbread pancakes. I had some in San Francisco years ago served with baked/poached pear – SO YUMMY!!
Thank you for all of your delicious recipes, I truly don't know what I would cook without you!
I can't wait to see what you share next.
I’m always checking your website when planning my meals for the week but I don’t have any specific requests. I love anything that’s made in one pot or that takes less then an hour to cook for weeknight meals!
Ooohhhh….as per Joyce, empanadas sounds good. As does a samosa recipe.
There is a Chinese dessert called Baked Tapioca Pudding (with or without red beans) that I’m interested in too!! Love your recipes and videos….everything looks awesome!
SAMOSA! I’m on an Indian banquet mission at the moment, I can’t believe I don’t have samosas on the list! Added! N x
My hand goes up for slow cooker corned beef with a non gluggy white sauce please.
Plenty of Dozer on the side.
Slow cooker corned beef has been on my list for ages, I will make sure I cover the white sauce for you! Dozer sides are not optional. 😂
Hi Nagi. I love how you move from east to west, but I hope you forgive me for asking for a recipe for old fashioned curried sausages!!!
Cheers
Christine
I have NO bias when it comes to good food! Curried sausages is a must – I can’t believe I haven’t shared it yet 🙂 It’s on the list! N x
Hi Nagi,
My family have thoroughly enjoyed many of your recipes and I thank you for sharing them with us. I was excited to read that you would like to hear some suggestions to new recipes. I’ve searched your site and these items didn’t show up. I would be interested in a mochi recipe, empanadas or bbq pork bun recipe. Look forward to seeing what you’ve come up with.
Many thanks!
Hi, Joyce. This is Yumiko, Nagi’s mother here. When you say ‘mochi recipe’, I am wondering if you are after savoury sticky rice cake recipe or Japanese sweets using sticky rice. If former, I have one recipe called Ozoni (Clear Soup with Rice Cake) on my blog site, RecipeTin Japan.
OMG JOYCE!! I am sharing BBQ Pork Buns next Friday! I had my whole family helping me with that one, it was a tough one. I’m SO EXCITED! I froze all the leftovers and it is unbelievable how well they reheat from frozen in just 1 minute, they’re the ultimate freezer standby meal! As for mochi, I’m passing that request over to my mum and empanadas is on my list too!!!
