SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.

Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

PS That’s just a mock cover!!

Finally – a cookbook!

This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.

Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.

Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….

I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!

Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.

So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂

If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.

I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.

So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).

They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!

Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

– Nagi x

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer

I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Dozer sniffing RecipeTin Eats cookbook mock up

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Love your recipes! Please, please put all recipes and ingredients in grams – sometimes you have cup measurements, and, here in the UK, we use metric.

    Thank you

I am so insanely excited for this cookbook! My only input is to say that I hope you include many of your clever tips and wrinkles that have helped me become MUCH more competent in the kitchen over the years – for example, it seems so small, but your technique of using two spoons to toss stir fries and pastas as been a game changer for me, and same with your rundown on how to chop a cauliflower properly. You’ve seriously saved me so much time and mess and made cooking so much more fun and approachable. I would so love for the cookbook to share anything else of that nature you have up your sleeve.

xxx thank you so much for your hard work and beautiful positive energy!

Do you know when it will be published and on the market for sales? Will it be available in America?

    Hi Nagi
I believe that you will make a huge success with a cookbook that you put out. You already supply what we need in your recipes you keep coming up with.
I personally would like more recipes using legumes, seeds and meat alternatives.
I grew up learning to cook a meat and vegetable meal, but have found I really like the taste and different flavours of using legumes/seeds. I have been doing some research and trying out some different things. What I love about your recipes, is that they are Australian and therefore ingredients are obtainable here and also I know what you are talking about.
Thanks, looking forward to the book and the star Dozer featuring in it. Cheers Corri xxx

    My faves from your website:
Wonton soup (your wonton folding instructions inspired me!); Laksa noodle soup and Standing rib roast.
    I’d love a Pandan cake recipe and…
Hong Kong Nam Kee spicy and sour soup recipe – along with the Nam Kee spring rolls. I’d LOVE to replicate this recipe!!
Also, congratulations on your book deal. I will be amongst the first lining up for it!

I am so excited for your news! Your recipes make up at least a third of my meals. I love your Thai, Vietnamese, and Indian recipes. Honestly though, you are my tried and true favourite. I know I can count on your recipes to work and be delicious.

My request would be to have a section/chapter on make ahead or freezer meals. Even if the whole meal can’t be frozen – making mention on the bits that can, or the bits that can be done ahead of time.

I do hope both you and Dozer make it on the cover somewhere!

This is exciting news, congratulations. I love your recipes, they are so easy to follow with clear instructions (I have to change measurements to UK details but that’s not a problem). I love to cook vegetarian foods so more the merrier for me. Also, slow cooker recipes would be great, it’s starting to get colder in the UK so the slow cooker will be making an appearance soon. Keep up the good work and thank you.

I’d love a cookbook featuring ingredients by seasons (different for south and north hemispheres of course) with dish options from around the world. Being a gardener it is great to eat what we harvest during the season, and trying different ways of cooking the same thing.

I would like your book to have colored pictures of the dishes, and especially if you could have a book showing how Nouvelle Cuisine decorates the dishes/plates. I know how to cook fairly well, but I would like to learn how to decorate similar to how chefs serve Nouvelle Cuisine meals.

Looking forward to it! Happy for you! Will there be a US version or at least a conversion chart for us “out of towners”? Uh, and what about the ground beef 🤔

I agree with so many of the other comments!

Your notes, tips, substitutions, cooking methods, etc are the main reasons I look forward to your emails. (And Dozer, of course!) Even if I don’t like the actual dish, I often find these ideas useful in other dishes I make. Your concept that there are many ways to achieve a delicious result is what makes you unique (in my experience).

There are so many “diets”, that your book would be a foot thick trying to accommodate them all. Maybe adding diet specific substitutions to as many recipes as possible would work: Recipe and notes; then low fat subs, gluten-free subs, vegan subs, air fryer and instant pot instructions – you get the idea.

Also going to agree that pics of Dozer and a few recipes for pets would be great additions!

I don’t have any recipe ideas for you. I like old-fashioned, simple meals, made from pantry ingredients, that come together quick and easy with a minimal amount of clean up afterwards. I like to show off with a fancy meal now and then too, but my “everyday cooking” is usually “what can I make out of what’s on hand?”. Luckily for me, most of your recipes fall into this category!

Good luck. Pace yourself. Don’t let the stress get to you. And yes, Nagi, you DO deserve to see your name on a cookbook cover!

Exciting!! I love most all your recipes. I would love to see your take on more varieties of seafood like clams, oysters, and squid.

I also enjoy having more vegetarian meals midweek so veggie heavy, lighter meals that are easy to cook after a long day would be helpful.

I love learning about other cuisines through cooking your meals so having adventurous dishes from countries that aren’t as represented in a lot of cookbooks would be great.
