SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.

Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

PS That’s just a mock cover!!

Finally – a cookbook!

This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.

Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.

Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….

I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!

Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.

So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂

If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.

I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.

So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).

They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!

Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

– Nagi x

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer

I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Dozer sniffing RecipeTin Eats cookbook mock up

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Love the idea of a cookbook from you. Pictures of final dish. That’s what I look for in a cookbook.

Vegan recipes (as well as vegetarian), smoothies (including green) and all the “little details” you mentioned above.

Ok. I know you can only fit so much in one cookbook. And you’ll have way too many suggestions to realistically use. Just do your best.

Dozer’s just wondering why that picture smells like new book instead of delicious food. 🙄🤣

I would like the real shrimp roll recipe. Everyone I’ve tried from recipes just taste bland. Something is missing. Nothing like the restaurant shrimp rolls.

Can’t wait!! Your Honey Garlic Salmon is one of my favorites. I would never want to lose the recipe so would love to have it included.

Your recipes are what I go to first when looking for something new to cook. They are tasty, usually simple, you mention substitutes. Love them!

I am looking for recipes I can make ahead including freezer recipes that aren’t the average casserole…..with reheating instructions.

Recipes with 5 ingredients or less. And the ingredient list should have things that actually exist in my pantry!

Honestly, I’m just excited for the book and that it will be *mostly* new recipes. There are a few books I have that are just “copied and pasted” from blogs pretty much, and they weren’t upfront about it, so I ended up disappointed. So very happy for this opportunity for “us” and will follow for more news, especially about a pre-order!

Agreed but it would also be nice to have some of the most popular web recipes OR maybe that’s another book🙂

I love that the recipes are rigorously tested and there is so much explanation. Please keep that!

I am so excited!!! I will use your cookbook several times a week, for sure. And also, I will have a great Christmas gift for all of the people I love the most! Please continue to provide the notes section in your cookbook – I feel that keeps me on the “Nagi way” so I don’t mess up the deliciousness 🙂 And the one recipe I request to include is the Christmas salmon – it is still talked about frequently by all guests who enjoyed it! Thank you for all you do. You are truly an inspiration.

Your stovetop mac and cheese deserves to be in the book. It is a humble classic- one of the kinds of recipes you memorize to make once a week for all occasions.

One of my favorite things about your recipes- and something I think you do differently from many other food bloggers- is that you focus on techniques that make food tastier, or cooking simpler. Your recipes may use the same ingredients as others but the results are different because you take the time to teach how to make something really well. I’d love to see you continue to bring that focus in your book!

And… I love your and your mom’s Japanese recipes.

I love your world easiest yeast Bread, I made this in Ireland and people were begging me for your recipe. Thanks for making me look good. I love your chicken piccata and so many other recipes. You are brilliant.

Dear Nagi and Dozer, I am 78, I look forward to your recipes and my husband loves beautiful food, he has always made the coffee, sadly last month he had a stroke. He is home with a walker and our daughter the nurse has arranged for an army of wonderful physical therapists to visit him at home. My problem is I have never made the coffee, I use 8 cups of water, I don’t know how much coffee to use or how long to grind it, My coffee is not good. A recipe for good coffee is my wish ❤️

That BBQ DINNER recipes are amazing. Just like my grandmother used to make. And she has been gone 40 years. She never used a recipe exactly as written, just as a suggestion. Your baked beans look like hers.
Labor day weekend in the US AND good local weather. Perfect menu. I have pork butt in freezer and slow cooker ready for action.
Someday I hope to travel to Australia and New Zealand and look up your restaurant, where ever it is located.

I am sooo psyched to see your doing a cookbook. I collect them. Well I accumulated plenty pre internet days! But I will definitely want yours in my collection. I can’t pin point a favorite recipe of yours, but love that you use so much flavor in your recipes. I love to cook and bake, it’s my kitchen therapy! Looking forward to the progress. And can’t forget about Dozer… wag wag wag all the way from Massachusetts, USA

Several years ago, when I first found you, I told you I would be first in line for a cookbook authored by you. Nothing since has changed my mind; in fact I have a binder that is over 3 inches thick with your recipes that I have printed. I have no recipes to suggest -you are the inspiration for most of my cooking, and I know your new ones will continue the same way. I really like your “notes and suggestions” and your use of readily accessible ingredients. My major request is to make the new book spiral-bound, if possible. Thank you, Nagi for inspiring me to enjoy cooking again!

I don’t know if you want really specific stuff, but my mom used to make this jello type salad. It had cream cheese, maybe a can of tomato soup, I think possibly apricot Jello and a bunch of minced vegetables. Also, walnuts. It sounds kind of dreadful, but is actually really good. So if you’re looking for new recipes, maybe you know of something like this?
I love your site. And Dozer is fabulous as well!
    Thank you.

You have me for nearly any recipe you want. I love an adventure — your recipes take me places I’ve never been and make me want to stay and visit with folks! Your notes and substitutions always help boost my confidence in tackling something new. Dozer, as chief tester, is irresistible! Trust your instincts and stay true to your vision. You are wonderful!
