SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Hi Nagi so good and excited to hear about your cookbook ,I would love to see a bit of everything ,poultry ,beef, fish ,I love soup ,and especially oriental food ,like the crispy chicken you did ,and so many other , all the nice recipes you did for us in the past , I love to see in a cookbook beautiful pictures and step by step how to make it ,a picture tell a thousand words .

Jen
Some things I would like to see:
– 5 or # ingredient recipes
– fridge forage recipes
– spices mixes to make in bulk with instructions on how to use them… like Charlie, which I only just recently made and I love it!
– healthier snack recipes like breakfast cookies
That is all for now…
Also a spiral bound printed version and also an e-book as well… often more affordable for some folks
Can’t wait to see it!
Nagi – I will buy any cookbook you write. I have loved every recipe I have tried and have shared your blog with all my foodie friends. Your recipe layout, commentary and recommendations has brought the joy back to my kitchen.
Congrats on this new journey – you are going to knock it out of the park!
Obviously the videos can’t be included, but I find all the other information, substitutions, etc. so useful that as many of those that could be included with your amazing recipes would be great. Congratulations Nagi (and chief taster Dozer) on your latest enterprise.
I don’t remember how I ever came across your blog, but I have been using your recipes for quite some time. Always interesting and informative. I like dishes from other cultures and would like to see any specific Australian dishes that are true to your country.
Congratulations! So looking forward to best cook book ever! I would love to master chicken noodle soup from scratch.
I love your recipes Nagi – they are hearty, comforting and creamy and calming to my soul! However, at this time in my life, I am enjoying loads of seafood and shellfish. I like them cooked medium to medium rare and with a very light sauce or no sauce [broth plus a bit of white wine or melted butter infused with some herbs to let the delicate flavor of the fish shine through. I also like all Asian and Middle Eastern dishes. Quite difference from the first request of extremely light fish dishes. Those are my requests — not picky about which fish varieties or different meats, poultry, etc that you choose. Let’s try something new and interesting! I look forward to getting your new cookbook. Best of luck to you Nagi!
Namaste,
Lois
Congratulations, Nagi! I’d really love if you had some “picky eater friendly” recipes that still have flavor. So many of us have challenges feeding our neurodiverse kids well. Homemade versions of favorite prepared foods. So, things like: flavorful spaghetti sauce without onions/peppers, A ramen broth that tastes like beef top ramen! 🙂 Things like that. It would be so, so appreciated.
I love your chicken shawarma – put it in the cookbook👍
Congratulations! Your recipes feature every week in our household. Definately need to include your biryani receipe and your chicken satay curry. They are such flavour bombs and I have them on constant rotation.
Thank you for all your amazing recipes.
Hi Nagi,
I’d appreciate more Quick, Easy, 1 Pot Recipes (like your Chicken n Buttery Rice Bake!) Also more Easy Asian Recipes.
Thanks. Love you n Dozer!
Hello from El Barrio, NYC
The recipe I have not been able to find is simple soda crackers, also called saltines. I have found recipes that call for yeast (in “soda” crackers?), which I did not try. I tried one that did not call for yeast but the result was more akin to thin shortbread. They were tasty but not very light or crispy and certainly not what I was looking for. I would like thin and crispy, with those little slightly browned high spots. Is that doable in a home kitchen?
I love all your recipes
I appreciate having substitution options listed and the effect they’ll have on taste.
Yeah! I’d love to see your quesadilla recipe…a fav. Also your Honey Garlic chicken and best of all…Thai fish cakes.
**Dozer friendly recipes a must!!!!
Please make sure your Lentils recipe(s) are in the cookbook. The whole world should know how great they are, Congratulations, I can’t wait for it to be complete.
Congrats Nagi!! As for what I’d like to see….only ground beef! (Kidding, don’t worry!) Selfishly, I’d love to see some of your popular recipes from the website (I LOVE your soups, Mac & cheese, and your asian salads)– so I don’t have to scroll through the site as I’m cooking them, lol!
What a wonderful idea. I love how listen to our devoted followers. I personally would love to see – what you truly eat at home . Your personally special everyday cooking .
That would be special
Congratulations Nagi! I think this is something I have been waiting for ! Make ahead tips will be greatly appreciated. Also dinner part menu ideas will also be such a help! Anyway whatever you do will be fantastic. Please please try to make the book available in India too!!!
Satay Curry, Malaysian.
I make it in the instant pot and save have the curry sauce in the freezer for a quick next time dinner.
Excited for our cookbook to be compiled and published!
Congratulations!
