SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.

Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

PS That’s just a mock cover!!

Finally – a cookbook!

This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.

Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.

Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….

I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!

Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.

So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂

If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.

I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.

So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).

They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!

Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

– Nagi x

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer

I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Dozer sniffing RecipeTin Eats cookbook mock up

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

I can’t cook a damn thing. So, when it is my turn to have friends over for dinner, I have a complete meltdown. Any company worthy dinner recipes that are easy and fail proof would be appreciated.

Try the Mediterranean Chicken Bake recipe! It’s so easy and simple, very rewarding and delicious. I’ve made it for a friend before and she loved it. It’s so easy but delicious it’s my partner’s favourite recipe and he hates cooking.

Oh how exciting Nagi & Dozer 🤩 ever since we first tested one of your recipes wow we were hooked ‘Beef ribs in BBQ sauce–slow cooked shortcut ribs’ flavour bomb right there! This recipe is a must for all rib lovers in fact more rib sauces would be great for beef pork lamb ribs. I love how you give us a wee blurb about why you use different ingrediants so that would be good. I have 3 Dozers (not) I should say 4 legged friends of the same species Border terriers who love their food especially meat, I would love to see a couple recipes in honour of Dozer. If I could add, i would love to see vegetarian and seafood recipes too. Thank you and congratulations can’t wait to be cooking from it 👩‍🍳

I appreciate the nutritional information with your recipes. I usually look for things I might be able to make ahead or at least do part of the prep ahead of time. Maybe because I’m anxious for fall (I live in California and am close to the Caldor fire), but I like stews that are filling but maybe have some different ingredients. I also try to find some meatless but still hearty options.

I can’t remember how I found you but I’m very glad I did. I’ve been following you for less than a year but you’re my “go to” online source!

Nagi I so wish I had known about you when my husband and I visited Australia, if I had I would have done my very best to meet you in person. Your recipes are wonderful and like others am looking forward to seeing lots of recipes from the past plus new ones. I especially love Asian foods and my favourite recipes are soups. Can I please pre-order now as I know your cookbooks are going to fly off the shelves? Big hug for Dozer and you from a Senior (78) fan of your delicious cooking and your beautiful personality that shines through in all you do. ♥️🇨🇦

Nagi! This is such an exciting opportunity! I’m looking forward to your book.

I’ve been loving your set menus for specific cuisines- the Thai week- WOW! I feel like we all need those set menus that will be a stunner that we can go back to time and time again. Maybe options for an everyday meal and then options to scale it up to make it more formal like a dinner with the in-laws by incorporating certain ingredients or swapping out carbs/proteins? Or introducing a cooking technique that changes that makes the dish feel more fancy? I feel it would help us beginner cooks to feel less intimidated to start off with a base meal and later build on more ingredients or techniques to make a fancy meal for others. Just a thought- but we all know it will be a brilliant book because your approach to food is always been an inspiration. ❤️❤️

I have baked your Shortbread Cookies recipe since I discovered it a few years ago, and have had so many compliments loving them, that I would appreciate the recipe being included in your cookbook. At 81 years of age I love good and easy recipes with few ingredients. Thank you.

I absolutely welcome the cookbook. As far as recipes, this matters less to me than your format of tips and substitutes. This speaks of the value of your work that sets you far above other cooking blogs. BRAVA, NAGI!

I am so excited for you and look forward to getting a copy in 2022!
I love that you always include a list of substitute, the name brand of ingredient you used in the recipe, and tips.
I would love to see more recipes for Indonesian snacks and Asian food such as, Lemper Ayam (sticky rice and chicken wrapped in Pandan Leaves), Perkeldel (potatoes patties), Dadar Gulung, Cendol, Chinese dim sum, sesame balls, steamed cakes etc.
