SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.

Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

PS That’s just a mock cover!!

Finally – a cookbook!

This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.

Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.

Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….

I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!

Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.

So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂

If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.

I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.

So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).

They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!

Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

– Nagi x

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer

I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Dozer sniffing RecipeTin Eats cookbook mock up

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Nagi. This is SO exciting!! Since being told about your website earlier this year I have used it numerous times,
And additionally agree with Michael. Your we visited is super user friendly and easy to find recipes. My go-to’s are
    Honey Pepper Beef and
Chilli Macaroni Cheese. My husband also loves Sweet and Sour Pork.
Cannot wait unit your book is finished so I can purchase 🥰

I regularly make so many of your recipes over and over again and the whole family love them . Some of our favourites are : Mac and cheese, baked spaghetti, slow cook pork loin roast, lamb shanks, roasted broccoli with tahini sauce, coleslaw, cauliflower cheese, chicken enchiladas, beef burritos, cheesy potato gratin stacks , thank you for all of these amazing recipes !

Due to the immense popularity of pie & sausage roll makers, I’d like to see a section devoted to them e.g. spring/chicko rolls, asian/thai flavoured pies (family & mini quantities) etc

Definitely Life Changing Queso Dip – the best. Made it for a Mexican themed dinner party it was a hit and Roast pork with the best crackling that you don’t score turned out perfectly 😋 Love your recipes first place I go when I want to make something.

I’ve printed out so many of your recipes – I could probably put them together for an instant book! I’ll probably buy the book when it’s ready, no matter what’s in it. 🙂

Congrats Nagi! It’s about time is all I can say!! I think your website offering is great with such a great variety of recipes from different cuisines. I always love classics done well in cookbooks – brekkie, lunch, dinner, desserts and baking. Really tasty food and not too difficult to make – wins every time. A feast section also would work well to take the thinking out of what dishes to include if we were to put on a feast! Thinking of what to include is often more overwhelming than cooking it – for.me anyway!
All the little notes you mentioned about nutritional info, dietary notes on how to make subs for different dietary needs, storage, make ahead notes etc would also be really helpful.
I’m sure the cookbook will be amazing what ever you put in it!! I can’t wait to get my hands on it!!! Take my money already!! xx ❤

Your top mixture of 30 minute dinners, longer preparations, appetizers and desserts. Maybe not the recipes that have hard to source ingredients? Love your recipes!

Congratulations Nagi, how exciting for you. I’ve been waiting to hear an announcement like this from you, it was only a matter of time. Of course now it’s what will go into your FIRST cookbook!

I love the notes at the end of your recipes, perhaps a condensed note section including substitutes.

I would like to see some baking with children recipes as I love baking with my grandchildren..

Also a section on sauces, marinades, dressings & lists of ingredients to have in the pantry (eg your Asian sauce list).

It would be great to have a menu section eg summer brekkie, spring lunches, winter dinners with a 3 course menu.

Photos for each recipe of the finished product is a must have.

Good luck sifting through all the suggestions; whatever goes into your first book we will all love anyway. I’ve already earmarked the purchase of 3 for myself and my 2 daughters.

Nagi and Dozer are a great team and both of you should be on the cookbook cover. I would like to see flexitarian and multi-cultural foods. Your writing style and instructions are entertaining. Would like to recipes for lentils and more seafood.
Will you have a digital cookbook version to purchase? My vision is poor and I like to enlarge the font to read the recipes.
Congrats again and you are doing an awesome job!

I’m so excited about this. Your recipes are my go to and the only ones I trust to turn out well time after time. It’s gotten to the point where my partner will find a recipe he wants to cook and I’ll have to examine it for errors or things that just won’t work. When I see it’s a RecipeTin I just say go for it!

I would love some recipes for weeknight dinners. Not fake weeknight dinners that take ages to prep and you need to make a side dish or two to round the meal out. I want real weeknight dinners that are simple to prep, have easy to find ingredients, enough veg to count as a full meal on its own (I’ll accept an additional side salade here) but also taste amazing. Something I can throw together quickly and feel good about it.
Your Mediterranean Chicken Bake comes to mind here. We have cooked it so much it is fondly known as ‘MCB’ in our household. I’ll sometimes throw a tin of chickpeas in to bulk it up but it’s such a perfect dish.
Speaking of adding chickpeas, I’d love recipes with tips for options to up the veg count or substitutes.
Your notes sections are incredible and include a lot of the ‘why’, substitutes, shortcuts and troubleshooting that other food bloggers leave out. Please incorporate similar notes.
I’d also love some pressure cooker and slow cooker recipes for low effort, high reward meals (can you tell I’ve bought a multi cooker?)
I’m sure I’ll have more opinions down the track.
I’ve been waiting for this cook book ever since I found your blog.
    When can I pre order?

    I have to agree Michael.
Since I was introduced to your website Nagi, 4 years ago, I refer to it every time I’m looking to make something a little different that is easy and tasty. And that’s almost daily. I must admit that I love the KFC gravy.
    A huge THANK YOU 😊

Ahhhh I’m so excited for this!!! I turn to your website first for almost every new dish I want to make because everything of yours turns out just perfect!!
You MUST put your quick and easy one pot/one pan recipes in there along with your amazing Asian dishes and how you teach us to jazz them up with a little Asian flavour to make an ordinary dish taste authentic!!
Also, I ALWAYS scroll down and read your recipe notes to see if there’s something I can substitute if I don’t have it in my pantry etc – very helpful! Congratulations! I can’t wait to purchase your book for myself as well as gift it to people too!

    Hi Nagi!

This is awesome news! I actually really like “NAGI” as the focus of the cover, maybe that’s because you come across as the type of person who wouldn’t put her name on a cover as a focal point🤔. It might also be that as readers it seems we all cook your recipes using your name announcing to our families ” I’m cooking Nagi’s lasagna tonight”. I don’t think I ever do that elsewhere?!

I hope you stay true to your flavour-style and have fun!

Cant wait for my copy and I would love to be the first to be so bold as to request a signed copy when it’s complete😉

    Cheers,

    Holly
