SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!
– Nagi x
PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

I like how you recommend brands you use and also please include substitutes.
Also loved reading your section on essential sauces / equipment etc
Keep it up ! And congrats!
Hi Nagi, I think you need a set of books.
. Family favourites
. Quick and easy
. Salads and side dishes
. Marinades, dressings
. Party food
. Around the world dishes
Love it all !!!
I am so excited for you…and me! You are my go-to in the kitchen and I can’t wait for the published book. You have become our extra family member “is this a Nagi recipe?”..they ask as they tuck in to dinner 😊 I would be happy with the favs from the website and I know I will try anything.
This is so exciting!!!
One Pot Greek Chicken with Lemon Rice (the recipe that made me discover your amazing website!). Also, Gravy Baked Chicken and Slow-Roasted Crispy Pork Belly. Good luck choosing…
Yay! I’m so excited for your cookbook! Can’t wait to have it in my kitchen. You are the best Nagi. We love all your recipes but your one pot dishes are great family friendly meals that we love. Pressure cooker recipes would also be great. We are trying to cut back on red meat so some vegetarian meals would be a great addition too. We will definitely need some Dozer pics in their too…
Been dying for this announcement! Wanted a physical cookbook for SO long! Some absolute must haves:
* Pork rub
* Dump & Bake Fried Rice
* Butter Chicken
* Pad See Ew
* Drunken Noodles
* Crispy Beer Battered Fish
* Chorizo breakfast hash
* Rocket, beetroot, walnut and feta salad
* Chicken and mushroom risotto
* Beef Stroganoff
* Moussaka
* Pad Thai
* Irish Beef and Guinness Stew
* Chicken gyros
Can’t wait for this book! 🙂
I am so excited that you are writing a cookbook. Would love more recipes like your Gai Lan recipe that spiced up my weekday vegetable sides. We eat it multiple times a week. I also make your gyro recipe almost every week….great recipe that comes together in a flash. Would love more recipes like these two that are easy to throw together after work but aren’t boring in the least.
I always look at Recipetineats for inspiration when I am deciding what to cook. However, I’m not keen on pasta of lots bread and I am dairy intolerant. I love my veggies and salads and I can always find something good to cook from your enormous range of recipes.
The information you include in each recipe is so helpful especially if people are just starting to cook or don’t do much cooking.
Your idea of this cookbook is brilliant. Thank you.
Congratulations Nagi! I cannot wait for the book! I’m already thinking it would be a great 2022 Christmas present! Would love for dietary index maybe (a list of recipes that are gluten free/dairy free, etc)
Curries
Your bolagnsise with Asian twist
Thankyou for inviting us to contribute!!! Can’t wait to see this!
Please include your Byron bay style cookies. I’ve many rolls of these esp in lockdown and left the unbaked rolls on friends door steps as care packages in lockdown. And please include slow cooked beef ribs.
Hi
Love your work, Nagi.
One recipe that eludes me is Bicotti.
Yep, that simple Italian fruity, nutty, spicy morish morsel. I should explain that I don’t mean the thick, lumpish, bumpish, teeth-shattering numbers I can create – which I must admit taste absolutely yummy-O!
What I want to know is how to create a slinky, professional looking treat that I’m happy to offer to family and friends when we are finally out of lockdown.
Many thanks.
Oh Nagi how exciting!! We luv your butter chicken, Parmesan crusted salmon, chocolate cake, vanilla cake, no knead bread rolls, pea & ham soup, kale pomegranate salad etc etc etc. all so delish, easy to prepare and always superb. Family all converted – of course it’s a nagi recipe they say. All the best darl, its simply wonderful news. I’d like a Christmas menu that has a lot of do ahead elements so I’m not stuck in the kitchen all day!! Luv ya!!
Hi Nagi, I would love more collections of recipes grouped in feasts. Also freezing tips. Good luck with your endeavour.
Hi Nagi,
Congratulations!!! We’ve been waiting for you to come out with a cookbook. We use your recipes all the time. I would love to see:
1. Lamb Souvlaki
2. Aji Verde (Peruvian Green Sauce) to go along with your Peruvian Chicken
3. Chicken Enchiladas with Tomatillo Sauce
4. Kalua Pork
5. Spaetzle
These are just for starters :). If you need any recipe testers, pre-cookbook publication, we are happy to accommodate!
Katy
Hi Nagi,
I would appreciate meat free meals.
Thank you.
Sandy
Hi Nagi,
I was just thinking about creating a “actual” recipe tin (from your recipes) that I can pass onto my daughter so I would love to see a recipe “tin” format for the book. I have sooo many favourites that I would love a format where you can add to the collection.
A small suggestion is to include at least 3 ribbons to bookmark recipes easily for the times when you’re cooking multiple recipes!
Nagi there are sooo many recipes that I truly love and use from your website that my mind is going insane with what I want in the book! So many possibilities! Maybe a special customisable edition that you can order with all your favourites 🤯 please don’t make me pick… it’s too darn hard!
I too was going to make a book of our fav RTE recipes for my daughters. Love the idea of several ribbon markers.
Congrats on your cookbook Nagi, can’t wait to buy it. I just love your recipes and short videos. Your my ‘go to’ recipe Queen.
I’m thinking…. a simple yummy spanish dish like Potatas Bravas with spicy sauce! All the best xx
Congrats! So well deserved! Your recipes and style of cooking has changed my life so thank you!
Your slow cook bolognese must go in the book! Also your malaysian satay, poached salmon in coconut lime sauce, thai mango curry, faster chicken casserole, brazilian fish stew, italian meatloaf, blueberry lemon yoghurt cake, chipotle lime roasted cauliflower, beef barbacoa, bbq short ribs, lamb shawarma soup and massaman lamb shanks. These are my all time favorites that i cook all the time. I love what you do and can’t wait to see the book! Love to Dozer too x
Asian pork belly recipes
more pressure cooker/slow cooker recipes! That would be an amazing category for the cookbook if you’re doing it like that
So excited and will definitely be purchasing one
I have been making your recipes for awhile now and have a few firm favourites, I would love to see these few in your new (how exciting!) cookbook: Lo Mein Noodles, KFC potato and Gravy, Chili Mac and Cheese and Asian Chilli Chicken, Other than that perhaps a section for simple tasty dishes for the new cook or children to make.
