SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!
– Nagi x
PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Could you please include some Japanese recipes by your mother?
Congratulations!!!! Will definitely be buying the book. Cannot wait.
Lentil soup and baked chicken recipes are go-to’s in our kitchen. Your recipes are great! Thanks for sharing them and always making such wonderful photos to accompany them!
Congratulations! Your recipes on this website are amazing. I made the lemonade scones the other day for the first time. They were amazing! Every recipe I have followed has been a success. All your recipes are simple to follow and your explanations are clear and thorough. I think this is why your website is such a hit. You have thought about all ability levels when it comes to cooking. I am looking forward to your cookbook. I am sure you’ll smash it out of the park!
Hi Nagi
Home made baked beans with bacon – southern style
I have made this recipe so many times. Everyone I have made it for has raved about it. a great meal when camping.
Cheers Greg
You absolutely have to have oven baked chicken recipe in there. It’s AMAZING.
So simple, no special ingredients ,tasty and never fails.
This is AWESOME!!! I’m so excited for you and for this cookbook! Please please please include seaweed salad and channa (chole) masala. Keep us up to date with you progress.
Nagi, love you and Dozer. I live in the U.S. and would love more Ramen and fish recipes. My first “cat” was named Dozer and I was sure she was part dog. She followed me everywhere…..
As I have not read all 1,200-odd comment here – !! – I hope I am not repeating anything. I would like to see recommended brands of the more unusual things like Asian ingredients. Maybe menu plans using the recipes that are in the book? (Mexican theme, special dinner party, etc.) And filling main meal vego recipes, please! Good luck with it all! xx
Congratulations.
More Vegetarian and Fish Recipes
It will be an Amazing Book that I will look forward to having at the ready in my kitchen.
Hi Nagi, I am so excited about you making a cookbook as all your recipes are so wonderful! I do have a request for Chinese
Turnip Cake (Diakon Radish Cake) Dim Sum Style with a dipping sauce. Getting the texture just right has been a challenge for me. If anyone can get it right, I am confident that it would be you!
My husband and I LOVE your recipes and my daughter is now a Nagi fan too. I would like to see all your recipes in a cookbook because at present they are printed out on paper! The only recipe I can think of is a wholemeal banana blueberry cake. I also love the cover of the book as is. Thank you so much for enriching my life in so many ways xxx
I buy a pita bread that has a pocket and is very thin. It has only 4 ingredients, no nasties! I try and try to make my own but all pita recipes seem to puff up and have a consistency of naan which is nice but I want to make the thin pocket kind. Do you have a recipe/method to make this kind and could you please share. Thank you. I love you and Dozer and your smile and all your recipes! (well most of them anyhow heheheh)
Omg I’m so excited, you literally need to make one with all your recipes, if it needs to be over a few books, then do it like that! Your recipes are so so so amazing, I love them all, so how can I pick only a few to go in!
Hi Nagi, Congratulations – well done & thank you for the opportunity to have a say in what we’d like in a cookbook.
When looking for a recipe online I go to many sites but ALWAYS include yours and if I’m in a hurry & want one I know I can trust then it’s straight to you. What I love most (and what I’d like to see in THE book) are recipes for everyday dinners or casual entertaining that are simple but with an extra tweak to make them fabulous – like last nights Honey Glazed Pork tenderloin – so simple but delicious and with ingredients we probably all have on hand.
The hints & notes for each recipe are also worthty of being included. The suggestion of multiple ribbons to ‘page find’ is also a good one for me. And a last one, when giving measurements of ingredients the size and weight would be helpful eg 1 lemon, or 3 eggwhites – but I have juiced & frozen my lemons & leftover eggwhites & want to use that. Apart from that, I’m sure you already have ideas of what you’d like & whatever you do will be wonderful. Looking forward to it – a copy for me & one for my daughter. Jx
Oh, and I almost forgot this important one for me: the nutritional value of the meal eg macro nutrients. Thanks, Jx
Nagi,
All of your recipes are amazing, it’s hard to choose a selected few for your book.
Does it have to start and stop with just one book ??
Consider doing a series ??
All your recipes are sensational. I get praise with every recipe I make from recipetineats. My daughter-in-law and I – vegetarian, husband – carnivore, son – gluten free/shellfish free, throw in two little toddlers = meals that become quite challenging for me. Your eggplant parmigiana was a hit for us all. It would be great to have one or two similar recipes in your book that will feed this “diverse” family. Good luck with your book!!!! It will be a best seller for sure!!!
I wish you great success with your cookbook as I know you will have.
I enjoy your recipes and will put your new cookbook on my ‘wishlist’. Times are tough right now and I can’t afford it, but there will be better days ahead. Your cookbook belongs in my collection of cookbooks from all over the world -no question.
As for recipes I wish for. No wishes here. 🙂
Hi Nadia,
Fflirst I just want to say I love your recipes so much. They are super tasty and so easy to understand. Your site is my go to for finding new recipes to cook when meal planning.
What I love about recipes are the make ahead instructions and the substitute suggestions. Also nutrition information is great and I like that that you have some very budget friendly meals that include mince but also some more elaborate meals ( I like to tackle these when time and budget allows).
I’m so excited that you’re doing a cookbook. I will definitely be buying one!
Congratulations Nagi. I would like a big photo of Dozer on the back cover. Butter chicken, Moroccan lamb meatballs, oven baked chicken breast, oatmeal raisin cookies, Byron bay cookies and Easiest ever apple cake are among some of our family favourites. There are too many to list. You have helped educate my family to cook and eat better foods. I so look forward to your book. A couple more gluten free recipes would be great. Best wishes on this project.
I agree with Lyndall, a big photo of Dozer on the back cover would be perfect! Can’t leave him out!
