SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.

Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

PS That’s just a mock cover!!

Finally – a cookbook!

This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.

Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.

Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….

I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!

Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.

So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂

If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.

I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.

So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).

They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!

Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

– Nagi x

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer

I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Dozer sniffing RecipeTin Eats cookbook mock up

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

    Yay finally!!! So happy
Though I’m almost disappointed it’ll be all new recipes, I would love a cookbook that has all your current recipes – I make so many of them regularly but I’m sure I’m missing heaps, and would be so good to browse through a book of them. @Pan Macmillan, make this happen please!!

That said, some of my favourites are your stir fries, and also your quite meals – like when you say it’s a 15 minute cook, you actually mean it!! So a section of recipes for those nights where I get home from work, the kids (and husband) are a mess, and I can cook something delicious in 10-20 minutes… sign me up!!

So to add to that, having a key/index of meals you can easily double and freeze half of would be greatly appreciated (wouldn’t need to be a whole section, just a picture on each one to indicate it and a list later)

Likewise, a section of things like your stir fries where you make one master sauce, then all the recipes you can use it in…..

This is so exciting, congratulations! Though we are the real winners here. A wishlist: tray bakes, pressure cooker alternative directions, meal prep suggestions.

Hi Nagi, great idea for a cookbook! I’d love another version of your spiced lamb Borek. I’ve made it a number of times and would really like to try another type of filing. I know the lamb version is absolutely delicious but we should branch out – right!

Hello! I love recipes with gluten free options, being gluten intolerant, and since I’m fairly time poor I rarely cook anything I can’t freeze or that doesn’t last in the fridge. So storage tips, and freezer friendly recipes, would be amazing. But I always love how you mention brands and substitutions. It’s a huge help. Your recipes have never failed me, and as I write this I have just cooked your Malaysian satay! So I’m super excited for this book!

    Hi Nagi,
Yay!!!! We’ve been waiting for you to put out a cookbook. We love your recipes and use them all the time. I would love to see your take on:
    1. Kalua Pork
    2. Aji Verde (Peruvian Spicy Green Sauce) to go with your Peruvian Chicken
    3. Chicken Enchiladas with Tomatillo Sauce
    4. Spaetzle
    5. Stroop Waffles
    6. Leige Waffles
    7. Lamb Souvlaki
My list goes on and on. We love to eat and we love to travel. We’ve had so many wonderful dishes from around the world. I think people frequently limit themselves in cuisine. The world offers so many fabulous dishes. Maybe finding signature dishes from around the world and featuring them in your cookbook. If you need recipe testers prior to publication, we are happy to offer our services :). I can’t wait to see what you come up with!!!

Hello! Could you put in some fish recipes? Like fish tacos or a pasta. And something vegetarian… like a veggie lasagna?

Congratulations Nagi! I am so excited for you and for US (your loyal fans). I would love substitute ingredients/ingredient swaps, especially in baking treats. Like gluten free and dairy free. Some recipes I can do some guess work but I would love it all in one spot. Can we have dozer’s mug through out the pages please 😃
Little key for vegetarian friendly, gluten free possible, dairy free possible, family friendly etc.

Indication on whether it can be prepared in advance and made on a later date.

    Freezer friendly

Scan QR code to take us to your awesome video guides to see it in action (now this would be a game changer – I haven’t seen this in any recipe books). I know this would be time consuming but holy moly, this is next level.

I will be thinking of more but I hope these resonate with you!

Lots of love Verna and Ahelia

Since winters are long in the NE of the USA, some good, nutritious soup recipes would be great. If you could include Nutritionals with your recipes, that would be very helpful.
    Keep up the good cooking!

    Hi Nagi
Your website is my first go to when I am looking for a recipe. I love that your recipes are easy to follow and you give alternatives for hard to source ingredients. Most of all though is that your recipes taste great.
Congratulations on your upcoming recipe book. I would be looking mostly for easy to prepare dinners.
All the best and love to dozer.
