SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!
– Nagi x
PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

This is the best news. You taught me how to Stir Fry Nagi, I was so scared of it until I found your Charlie Sauce which is on rotation monthly in our house and the simple steps you showed me. Now I cook stir fry everything like a pro. Thank you !
PS Obviously Stir Fries need to be included. 🙂 and Dozer of course. x
Dear Nagi. Let me introduce myself as one of your silent fans. I have used and will continue to use your recipes for exquisite meals.
I think it is time that we have a cookbook in hardcover for families and their siblings to last for generations to come as I believe a good recipe that tastes good would never age.
There has been many cookbooks in the market and many of them leave much to be desired. I can foretell that the book you intend to prepare and publish will be a long awaited savior that will last for generations to come.
Why I say that is because you have three major qualities that will be reflected in the book as they are already reflected in your successful web site. Other than technicalities, the book will always be alive with a soul of its own which you have implemented in all your recipes.
The book would cover quite a good chunk of cuisines including cuisines from different Middle Eastern countries. And of course the presence of our International Friend Dozer.
I look foreword to the day when this book will be all over bookshops worldwide.
And for those who have not tried Nagi’s Falafel recipe; please do and you will be an addict to Falafel for life.
Hi Nagi, I would love it if you would create a recipe for Thai Mee Grob, I haven’t yet found a recipe that makes the noodles nice and sticky but also crunchy.
I can’t wait to buy this, your recipes are always my go to! Probably shouldn’t put a ground beef section in the book, but that’s just me lol 😂 X
I absolutely adore your Butter Chicken recipe and would LOVE to see it in the cookbook! There are a number of other favorites, but that’s the one I love the most!
SO excited Nagi! I was thinking the other day that I would love it if you had a recipe book! When I am looking for a particular recipe you are always my first choice. Every recipe I have done from you works brilliantly!Thank you! Can’t wait !
Congratulations Nagi. I would love to learn to make chocolate soufflé the right way x
I would like to see a cookbook called “Nagi’s Little Gems” with the recipes you have perfected for home cooks like Naan and Artisan bread. Also recipes which are elegant in their simplicity and deliciousness such as Rocket Salad with Balsamic Dressing and Parmesan. I have no new ideas for you unfortunately.
Congratulations! I’m really looking forward to buying your cookbook, along with copies for my kids, because I love all your recipes! Maybe you could include a section of reduced carb recipes? I love all your food insider tips eg tenderising chicken breast for stir fry.
Hi Nagi
John here from Adelaide. First time writer but long time fan. I would also like to say how impressed I am with the amazing work that you are doing with your kitchen, employing people and of course feeding many. It is just inspirational as to what you are doing.
But onto my suggestions for your cook book. Here are a few ideas in no special order.
1 A short section on YOUR TAKE on the classic French sauces, eg, Hollandaise, Beurre blanc, Bordelaise and even the humble Béchamel. Sauces that can then be used in various ways on a variety of dishes.
2 Still on a French theme, how about some ‘different’ savoury fillings for crêpes? One I do is ‘scallops with a leek fondue’ and another ‘caramelised pears with blue cheese’ – but I am sure there are lots of others! Perhaps you could come up with some originals!
3 When working in Brunei I LOVED ‘Malaysian fish head curry’. I’d love to see your take on the classic. Maybe, just maybe without the fish head itself (??) Not sure just why, maybe the eyes!
4 I’ve lived in Australia for 40 years but I’m originally from England. My mother was NOT (what I would call) a ‘good’ cook, BUT I just can’t do ‘bubble and squeak’ like she did (beautifully golden). I’ve done you fish pie, but there are many other quintessential English dishes. Maybe, ‘English-style toad in the hole’ or steak and kidney PUDDING. I can’t even match (here in Australia) what my mother called ‘gammon’ (ie, ham), egg and chips! Basic, should be easy, but something missing in my attempts.
Finally
5 Our dogs love canned dog food! (But don’t get it very often!!!) Now I know they also like meat of any kind and no need for any ‘fancy’ preparation. But I wonder, I just wonder, if there is a simple alternative to the canned dog food that will good for them, that is better than just raw meat! It would need to be something that is easy and cheap to prepare and, importantly, could be portioned and frozen easily. You may need to talk to some vets and/or get some advice from … you know who!
Hope you find this helpful and thank again.
John
PS: Best of luck with the book!
Hi Navi,
Love so many of your recipes , let me know when the book is published.
Good luck

Congratulations Nagi. A best seller for sure. Will be on my bookshelf
Congratulations Nagi on your book. Your recipes are my go to when I’m looking for something tasty to cook.
I just want a copy of the book. I know it’ll be the best to go to recipe book for me – as your email recipes are 😍
Hi Nagi,
This is so exciting – an actual cookbook to pour over instead of a screen!
I ❤ your recipes and have converted many to join the Nagi 🚆 toot toot!
Once we’re all able to spend time with our loved ones I imagine we’ll all be a little rounder.
I’d love your take on cuisine inspired healthier grazing platters!
I’ve been adding your mushroom bruschetta (just the 🍄) along with garlic roasted pumpkin on my boring cheese platters.
What other little sides could we do?
And how about an Asian inspired platter, Mediterranean etc etc…
I love to entertain but spend too much time in the kitchen.
If we could do majority of work during prep then dazzle with ease once our friends arrive would be awesome.
Seriously though, whatever you produce is going to be spot on and phenomenal 👏
Love your work and everything you do xx
I can’t wait for it to arrive in store!! Your recipes never fail; hence the 5-star rating for them all.
I would love to see some healthy substitutes alongside your preferred ingredients. The “make ahead” notes would be helpful. As would if it was suitable for freezing and making a large batch of, I recently came across a book where all the recipes were a single or serve for two. If you wanted to make it for 6 it said multiple quantities by 6. There were notes on the bottom for any changes that may be required eg only double the chilli oil & adjust to taste before serving. Have fun!
Yessss Nagi, congratulations! 🥳 when can we pre-order?! I would love to see freezer friendly/big batch cooking recipes and it would be amazing if there was a weekly meal plan. Agree with other commenters that your recipe notes are 👌🏻 and should definitely be included. Cannot wait 🤩
Nagi!!! I am so excited to hear about your new cookbook and I can’t wait to order it. I get all my recipes from your website and I haven’t been let down yet! <3 I am a broke college student who wants to eat more exciting things than just hot dogs and instant ramen every day… lol.
My very first experience with RecipeTin was your Pad Thai recipe, which ended my long search for a decent Pad Thai recipe! I would love to see that included in your new cookbook.
Other RecipeTin favorites include the Asian Beef Bowls, Tuna Poke Bowls, Shepherd's Pie, and Carnitas.
As a young cook, I also appreciate the tips you include on your website that aren't specific to any recipe, such as cooking rice, velveting chicken, or how to tell if your baking powder is still active. Some of those tips could be really useful in your cookbook!
P.S. I love RecipeTin Japan too, so I humbly request that you include some of your mother's recipes if you can! 🙂
I cannot wait. Your website is my favourite place to look for the best recipes. Absolutely everything I’ve made from your recipes has turned out delicious. I’ll be buying.
What a great compliment Mary, thanks so much!! N x
Moist apple muffins ✅
They’re the best aren’t they Alix!! N x
