SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Love your recipes! All the extra information you provide, especially on storage, substitutions and shortcuts really make you stand out. Also, you are the champion of foolproof, flavourful Asian meals. In my opinion, these two trademarks of yours should find a place in the book. Also, I would like many quick and easy dishes for weeknights- because thats what you actually cook and not just dream of cooking!- and just a few, but very carefully selected “masterpieces”, ideally as whole feasts complete with starter, main and dessert. keep up all your great work!
Amen! Yes, those easier recipes that we’ll actually use. ❤️
Hi Nagi so love your recipes for baking. I would love to have a go to cake recipes in one place, Madeira, chocolate, red velvet, coffee black forest etc. and then all the fillings and icing together 😊Definitely buying this when its for sale
Congratulations Nagi! You really do deserve it 🙂 Your receipts are far superior to most ‘celebrity’ chefs and not to mention all the work you do for the community- you’re a star! One thing I really appreciate about your recipes and would like to see in your cookbooks is your focus on technique. So many cookbooks just focus on what goes in with a few fairly general steps on how to make the dish but you have so many amazing techniques that go well beyond just what goes into the recipe and for me that’s where the magic is in your recipes (I’m thinking of your buffalo chicken wing recipe with the baking soda and slow cooked crispy pork belly recipe here just to name a couple of my favourites). Having lived with a chef I know how much of a difference technique makes and I’m still learning so much from your recipes. Thank you!
Ps love Dozer! Reminds me of my dog who also like to follow me in the kitchen in the hope she might get a taste.
Yes, your techniques-I’m a novice!
So exciting! I will 100% be buying this book- yours is now my go-to website for recipes. I would love a good balance of vegetarian recipes (or even a note on each meat-containing recipe that mentions how to make it vegetarian). Plenty of Indian recipes too please- my favourite! Dozer will have the time of his life taste testing for this cookbook (actually, you should totally include a recipe or two for dogs in there too!)
Hi Nagi. Not so much a recipe request but more a book structure request. I find it difficult to plan dinner parties, extended family gatherings, brunches with friends. I have many many cookbooks and collected recipes, but food matching or menu planning to a theme I find difficult.
Beef Rendang
Baby Dutch
Simple art of smoking food, fish, meat, vegetables with wood chip, rice and tea leaves???
Woohoo this is fantastic. I know so many family members who will be waiting to buy a copy.
I would love to see some more Asian (or not Asian) street foods.
To be honest, all I ask is if you can’t fit everything in the first book, don’t say no to more books because I’m sure we can all make a bookshelf free just for RecipeTin cookbooks!
Thanks so much for your wonderful recipes. I am in Cape Town, South Africa and without a job due to Covid. I enjoy cooking and your recipes are easy to follow and importantly, not too many strange and unusual ingredients.
You MUST include your Brussels Sprouts – they are truly magical. We have fights in our family for the crispy bit of parmesan and bread crumbs!
I love all your recipes they always work. I particularly like the notes and alternatives you suggest. Can’t wait for the cookbook, congrats Nagi
What a joyful thought, Nagi, a compilation of your recipes! Can’t wait for us, and to have your book as a gift. I’d like you to include the following faves of our family: Putanesca pasta; Thai red curry fried rice; One Pot Greek chicken & lemon rice; Lo Mein noodles; Fairecracker sauce; Emergency Chicken casserole; Strawberry Cake & last, but not least, the How to Cook Various rice types. That’s such a ‘go to’, and everybody needs it!! These are our favourites. I’m a grandmother, and three generations love your recipes, thank you. Plus Dozer is a star! Oh, btw, do you have a recipe for making individual meringues with soft centres? Cheers.

Every recipe I make of yours is 👌 delicious!!! Congratulations!! I know your book will be amazing. Please can you keep passing on your pro chef expert tips and tricks? I continue to learn so much about cooking technique from you.
I would look forward to learning about basic cooking techniques that can be used in any recipe (e.g. best way to cut an onion, knife skills, cooking meats on the stovetop vs. oven, how to use an outdoor grill, common substitutions). I also would love to have recommendations for staple ingredients to have on hand for specific cuisines and styles of cooking.
Healthy dog biscuits!!! I am feeding my kids banana and sweet potato biscuits.
Also beautiful Asian food. I have made your gyozas twice in 2 days and a stirfry. I have just been through one of your online books and it looks Amazing!!! Your are such a “find”. Love your work!! Oh… Also a recommendation as to where I could bit a recipe book holder to hold your new book!!!!
I have definitely improved in my kitchen skills since discovering you! Have introduced you to many friends and family and everything I make of yours comes out better than expected. I’m Canadian but live in Malaysia and your Asian recipes are true to my street food and stall experiences. I think I’ve literally checked out every recipe on your site. I have to avoid gluten and dairy and would love some bread, pizza dough, dessert etc options and notes on subs. Also sometimes I just don’t feel like cooking over the stove or doing too much prep. Could you include some winner Nagi-style sheet pan recipes? Low on fiddling around but high on taste?
I may be back with more requests! This is really such a great idea! Thanks for asking your readers for input.
Congratulations! I would love an authentic tasting recipe for Khao Soi soup. Plus any tasty new recipes for the slow sooner or pressure cooker. Or any recipes that use wine. Thank you😀
So excited for your cookbook! I am in the US and I appreciate your detailed recipes, they always turn out beautifully. I would love to see your take on a ginger lime drizzle cake. Thank you so much and congratulations!
Super exciting! Congratulations Nagi. I love your notes and videos… perhaps a TV show to accompany the book?! I cook for a family member who is GF – I find your cornflour substitutions and adjusted amounts always helpful. I’d love your take on Syrniki (Russian blintzes) and Yorkshire pudding. Good luck!
Nagi, I have fixed many of your recipes and my family loves every one…..Thank you!!! I am so glad I found you! AND I love to hear about Dozer…I love dogs!!!! more than I like some people!!! HA! Sherry Kerley
