SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.

Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

PS That’s just a mock cover!!

Finally – a cookbook!

This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.

Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.

Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….

I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!

Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.

So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂

If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.

I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.

So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).

They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!

Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

– Nagi x

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer

I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Dozer sniffing RecipeTin Eats cookbook mock up

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Congratulations that is so exciting! And proof that your work is loved by many people – thank you for sharing your gifts with us. It would be great to see alternative ingredients (like you do now) for things like gluten free or dairy free when you can think of them. To help people like me on a non inflammatory diet. Well done again!

I got to know about your website during the Covid lockdown. One thing I should say is that your practical, but very researched and consistent approach to excellent cooking (and baking) has UNLOCKED a whole new world of delicious food for me and my family. So thank you, God bless, and good luck with the upcoming cookbook.

Wow I just don’t know where to start. I have made so much. Our repeat dishes are Pastrami (in the fridge today for Father’s Day) to nachos to pup cakes to pad thai to Vietnamese Caramelised pork bowls to slow roasted rosemary garlic lamb shoulder plus those yummy oatmeal raisin cookies.
    Thank you so much xx

Hi Nagi you are my favorite cook! And you are my go-to person when I need ideas of what to make. Please include info about sugar substitutes. A lot of your recipes have sugar but I’m trying to avoid so much sugar so if there is an appropriate sugar sub for a recipe please include. Congrats on your book!!

Hi Nagi, I am looking everywhere for your salmon with the creamy mustard sauce with shallots. That’s a good looking meal and I want to recreate that. Cheers!

Wow, so many suggestions and requests for your upcoming book! May I add one more? Azeka Ribs. They were legendary and we never left Maui to return home without a feast of this delectable treat. Sadly, this place closed years ago when the owner retired. I think the original recipe had 7-Up and grated pear.

    Hello Nagi & Dozer~
Congratulations on your new book! I can’t wait till it comes out. I love many of your recipes but my very favorites are chicken piccata my way and the French toast recipe 😋 it would be great to see them added in your book.

    Hi Nagi,
I would love to see your cookbook broken down into easy and quick workday meals, weekend try something more involved meals and a section for hosting special meals with suggestions from appetizer to dessert and make ahead tips for this section so I’m not a totally stressed host. Or maybe that sounds like 3 separate books?!!
I do love your thai and asian recipes best, but then there’s cowboy salad and chicken gyros that we also love.

Good for you, that is quite an undertaking and I look forward to seeing the end result.
We love salads and the more versatile the salad dressing the better. The dressing from the Cucumber, Red Onion with Herb and Garlic dressing I make the dressing a litre at a time and use it as a Greek dressing, Cucumber and everyday salads, love it.
Brown butter with fish is another family favourite. I could go on and on but those 2 I make again and again.
Nutritional info very important and potential substitutes is so helpful.
Good luck and have fun with your new venture.

I found you when I was looking for a Salisbury steak recipe and have become a devoted follower ever since. Please include that one. I tweaked the recipe because I can’t eat dairy (I use cashew butter). So if you can include any suggestions for other dairy substitutes (like for cream), that would be awesome! I also love your Slow Cooker Mexican Soup. Good luck on your cookbook-I can’t wait!

    Omedetou NAGI and Dozer🥳
on the book. Wow, you work so hard!!!
Thankyou for including your followers ideas🧡.
That is a daunting task narrowing down which recipes to use. Maybe one of your collections like “quick dinner recipes”?? Or., based on SEASONs? Or, faves from around the GLOBE ? 🌍
Your followers have really good ideas.. i like the fries category or the recipes for pets🐾. Gotta get Dozer involved😊
    My faves are Asian takeaway.
Oh, how about all recipes with MINCED BEEF. 😅..just joshing!!
    Good luck NAGI.
    So excited for you.
Your sample cookbook cover is striking. Luv the colours.

Pad see ew!! A whole section on stir fries which I’m sure you’ll do. Maybe some recipes that do well for 6-10 servings-because you can double recipes but times change and can be unpredictable. Very excited about your cookbook!!

This is the best news EVER! Im so excited for you Nagi.
I would love more vegetarian options as i need to eat less meat. Gluten free would be great when cooking for friends. Would love storage info especially freezer safe meals as i am quite busy and do bulk cooks often. As another mentioned – slow cooked weekend meals, some quick yummy weeknight meals and an abundance of scrumptious asian meals would be great. I know whatever recipes you will have will be AMAZING as i love your food. I look forward to purchasing a few copies for me and family and to have mine on the bookshelf next to my other fave cook Nigella Lawson 😍
And I honestly would love for you to do another book solely on your existing classics. Ive cooked so many of your recipes and it would be nice to see a collection of them in a beautiful cookbook.
