SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.

Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

PS That’s just a mock cover!!

Finally – a cookbook!

This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.

Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.

Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….

I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!

Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.

So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂

If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.

I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.

So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).

They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!

Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

– Nagi x

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer

I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Dozer sniffing RecipeTin Eats cookbook mock up

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

    So excited!

Your Filipino Chicken Adobo is incredible! Im interested to see your take on the more traditional Filipino Chicken-Pork version of it.

Stay safe, Nagi! Keep on cooking 🙂

CONGRATS! So excited for you – and us! I love all your recipes. But especially the ones that are easy to make. Like, no fuss ingredients and don’t take too long. I love your “get these 20 things to cook all these recipes” lists. I promise – I’ll actually make more of them rather than just reading and salivating.

Your recipes are amazing. I am a single 70 year old. My children are my life, and cooking is a big part of all our lives. I still work (children still require a helping hand from their Dad!). Searching through your recipes on line is really a highlight of my weekend to see what I can cook for the week. But, I have difficulty in making just enough for myself. My children live 800kms away. So, perhaps you could have a section of the new book called “Cooking for One”. Maybe “Cooking for One plus a Dog”! Love your recipes and website. Can’t wait to see the new book. Regards Richard

Congratulations Nagi, this will definitely be a cookbook that I will actually buy. I was always a dreadful cook until I discovered your site, now my family think I’m a MasterChef.I don’t mind what recipes you include because I’m sure they will be delicious, the only thing I would like included is all the detailed notes that you usually include with your recipes.

    Hi Nagi
    Wonderful news!
    I anxiously awaiting your cookbook.
I’d like your take on some simple sauces for red meat and poultry dishes.
Your favourite recipes with your take on them from chefs or cooks that you admire.
I also think old recipes with a modern twist would be a good addition eg Apricot Chicken. You may have already done that one!
Thanks Nagi and all the best with your exciting new venture.
    Regards
    Desiree

Hi Nagi, congratulations on your new venture. My son also uses your website. We both would like to see your recipe for fish tacos and your recipe for Chinese steamed fish with ginger and shallot sauce in the book. The steamed fish is always a dinner party show stopper! I would like a Christmas trifle recipe using mangoes, cherries and custard. Thank you for your inspiring recipes and Dozer ofcourse

Congratulations Nagi! I have been waiting for this day since I first made your amazing chicken and rice soup! (And now go to your recipes daily, too!)

My two year old loves pancakes and I have been making your classic and blueberry pancakes every weekend, but let’s just say she could use more fibre in her diet. 😂 Any ideas?!

Thanks and Can’t wait to buy your book! Sending ❤️ From Canada

I’m a single person so I’d really like to see recipes that are for 1 or 2, or if not meals that can be frozen. Also I’m not a great cook, so it’d be really good to see basic recipes and how to. I found your recipe for flatbread and it looks really easy so I’m going to give it a try.

Congratulations, Nagi! You’re my go to almost everyday of the week, despite having many years of cooking behind me.
Not only are you an amazing cook and blogger but your compassion shown towards the less fortunate people is admirable and testament to what a wonderful person you are. I wish you every success and can’t think of anyone more worthy of success and acknowledgement. Next is your own show on T.V??? 😍

Congratulations and good luck Nagi. Here’s my recipe wish list:

A savoury snack bar for lunch boxes (eg. containing Oats, seeds, nuts, parmesan, chill flakes etc)

An extra creamy white chocolate mousse or a panna cotta with one of three toppings:
    1. a homemade strawberry jam topping (think jam and cream scones without the scone) OR
    2. a passionfruit topping OR
    3. a poached? mandarin topping

Traditional Christmas cake made with fresh fruits NOT dried fruit (using some combination of apricots, pineapple, dates, apple plus the usual spices, nuts etc)

Green Mexican chicken bowl – no tomatoes anywhere (think chicken poached with Mexican flavours served with brown rice & quinoa, coriander, grated cheese, avocado, spring onions, corn chips, extra toasted pepitas).

Sugar preserved lemons (to use with cakes and desserts)

Something (cake or dessert) combining chocolate and peanuts

I am so excited! I would love to have my families’ favourite recipes in a book, including: butter chicken, gyros chicken, fish tacos, Shepard’s pie, slow cook beef ragu, one of the yummy bbq braised beef recipes,.. we love your food and the recipes are always the right balance of effort and taste. Well done!

In terms of new things, I am always looking for healthy family food recipes – with lots of veg, options to spice up or down the dish, easy to cook in big numbers etc. so more of those pleAse!
