SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.

Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

PS That’s just a mock cover!!

Finally – a cookbook!

This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.

Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.

Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….

I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!

Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.

So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂

If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.

I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.

So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).

They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!

Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

– Nagi x

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer

I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Dozer sniffing RecipeTin Eats cookbook mock up

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Can you make an easy cha siu bun like the restaurant’s one. Not the steamed ones but the baked ones.
How do I get an ebook. I have already subscribed.
I have introduced your recipes to my sister and friends and they are hooked on them.
      Thank you.

Nagi, I’m sure it will be awesome!
All I request is that the recipes are formatted the same as on your website, with weights in grams, suggestions for sides to serve with main dishes, and possible substitutes for ingredients. Your notes and instructions are always so helpful.
And it must be made available in Canada! With lots of Dozer photos!

For cookbookz; Please include the slow cooked turkey breast from a few years back. Salisbury steak with mushroom gravy (and cube steak alternative), oven “fried” rice and chicken recipes. And for new stuff, I would suggest some favorite rice and bean combinations: Hoppin John and Peruvian TacuTacu. Also Peruvian second de res. And finally the Korean version of a Chinese black bean and beef noodle dish jajangmeon.

Super exciting news! Every recipe I’ve tried so far has been a success in our house.
It would be awesome to have a budget section on the side of the recipes with a breakdown of how much each portion would cost

Nagi, first and for most I love you and Dozer. I am a soup person so more soups and I love my Instant Pot and Slow Cooker more recipes using those would be great. But in all honesty, your blog is amazing and I would to try making anything we all think could go into your new cookbook. And Congratulations on this new adventure. Love you guys, from Massachusetts U.S.A.

We love all of your recipes Nagi, you are our go to for pretty much every meal. Our absolute favourite is Butter Chicken but we love your Asian dishes that are relatively quick but packed full of flavour with your combinations of soy sauces, oyster, hoisin, cooking wines, mirin, sugar etc. These are the best weeknight dinner meals, adaptable, nutritious and on high rotation in our house. Big hug to Dozer too!,

This is fantastic! We have been cooking recipes from your website for over 5 years now and never have we had a bad one. In fact, the reason we cook so well is because of you. My husband jokes that if you ever take your website down we’ll be stuffed! Better buy the cookbook then… 😉

OMG!!! This is so exciting! I already told my whole family xD
We love that you have all kinds of recipes, from every night quick and easy to worth to throw a party just to show off with a dish. All the notes and tips you provide are just the best, including potential substitutes. You taught me how to cook more Asian style! We’d love to see more of those recipes in your book – and the basic knowledge 🙂
Looking very much forward to holding your amazing book in our hands and cooking – well, all of it 😀
Lots of motivation, fun and strong nerves from our side of the globe to yours
