SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!
– Nagi x
PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Fabulous news – congratulations! I think you should have Dozer on the front and then a picture of Dozer on the botton right of each page – like the old fashioned flip books. We love your recipes and LOVE Dozer.
Agree with the non-using of “special equipment” in your recipes that some have mentioned (such thermo-thingamajigs).
Maybe have a starter section called “The Basics” – with all those wonderful hints you give us (eg cooking rice).
The no knead artisan style bread is a show stopper and my family LOVE it. I’d include it as a ‘staple’ for sure! Sending love from Queensland x
Ditto Dianna. Love the no knead bread – turned out fabulously (even with a rather dodgy oven).
Your cornbread recipe is our favourite.
I have used your wild rice salad with the cranberries somuch! I also think your pavlova trough makes a wonderful centrepiece for a celebration.
I made the Reuben sandwich last night and I have to say it was fantastic! The Russian dressing is amazing! I also loved the Kangaroo Pie, Beef Bourguignon and all your recipes! I’m sure whatever you decide to include in the cookbook will be up to your incredibly high standard 🙂 Can’t wait to see the finished product, though we all know it will have a looong, well thought-out gestation!
Congratulations! I love recipes that have options of how I can re-use leftovers. LOVE your weeknight dinner recipes, but also the pork carnitas, ragu, and other slow cooker recipes!
Lots of salads and more Japanese food please xx
WOW! Nagi, congratulations. That is such exciting news. I will most definitely be buying it. All the recipes (and there have been quite a few) that I have tried from your website have all been winners. I can’t wait to see what is in the cookbook.
Some of my faves are – hot cross buns (can also be used as raisin bread), UK crumpets, Satay (Malaysian saucey one), and of course lots of Dozer pics 🙂
Congratulations on the book Nagi! ♥️
Could you include your Asian streak & French onion soup?
Those were the first 2 recipes I tried when I first discovered your blog 2 years ago & I’ve been hooked on all of your food ever since! Your cooking demonstrates how wonderful food can be achieved with a few simple steps & a small handful of delicious ingredients.
My request would be to include at least one Dozer photo for each recipe, just like the online recipes do haha!
Other than that, I trust you’d select the best recipes for us all. I’ve already loved all your online recipes, surely I’d love the cookbook too, no matter what you put in it.
Most importantly, when can I pre-order?
Congrats!!
I’d love to see Gyros – an Authentic Recipe for Making Them at Home in the new cook book. An oldie but a great on I’ve used in the US and in Mexico to share new tastes with friends
How about Seafood crepes with sauce and a side please. My favourite Friday meal 🌻
I would love recipes for Asian soup please
Please don’t go ‘on trend’ with air fyers or thermomixers. I would love to not need special equipment. Love your take away type meals and also family meals. We do chilli mac and cheese, and also chicken tikka masala, malfatti, and the oven baked tenders where you use tongs and your hands don’t get messy. . . . . sooo good! I also find it hard to find decent vegetarian that aren’t exotic . . . some good basic vegetarian that a family might use to balance their healthy eating. . . . . but ultimately, anything will be amazing. Congratulations! So excited for you!
Recipes for 2 people
as Many of Us Now are Empty Nesters
Hi Sonia, my recipes are scalable, click the servings and use the slider to scale down 🙂 N x
I’d love to have metric measures for all the recipes and more vegetarian options!
Been a big fan for a long time and have patiently waited for your cookbook …I can’t wait! as far as I am concerned anything put in your book will be great! I guess maybe I’m partial to one pot dishes because they’re fast and easy and little clean up! My kind of dish!
Congratulations Nagi, this is such exciting news for you and for us all! What I love about your recipes and your website is that you include the full nutritional information – please include for every recipe in the book. And also all your notes! They are so helpful and I’ve not seen a website that goes into as much detail in the notes as you.
Wowee!!! Congratulations Nagi!! It would be great if you could include quick meals that are so good ppl will think you spent the whole day making it when it took the better part of half an hour maybe! (You have some great ones on your site already) Quick meals for both everyday cooking and for stress-free entertaining! And a dessert section would be awesome too! Thanks and good luck with the book! 😘
You really have great Asian recipes! An Asian section would be great !
