SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Any recipes that has to do with bell peppers please.
Sorry – recipes that HAVE to do…
I’m so excited for you ! please have pictures of food and dozer too hehe
-SUN DRIED TOMATO
– EASY ROASTS
– SLOW COOKERS
cheap recipes for broke millennials
WOW!!! That is awesome, cannot wait!!! I’m sure that whatever you choose to add into your cookbook will be a fresh, delicious and easy cook.
I do love using my wok, fits more of the delicious ingredients 😋
Congratulations from a Japanese woman and her 12year old daughter living in WA. I’ve hardly ever left any messages on Internet but I have to this time because this is such a great news! I was secretly waiting if this ever comes!
As soon as I told this news to my daughter, she said “I want Nagi-san’s Strawberry cake recipe in the book!” All of us love it. And she said a lot of Dozer in the book. (She follows Dozer more than recipes ;P)
I’d love to see recipes which are easy and quick, also store well. I love your garlic rice with kale and home made granola.
Hope it’ll come before Christmas so will be a great Christmas present for some of my friends who always looking for reliable cookbooks.
We just love the Vietnamese Chicken recipe. Plus love love love your Chicken Kiev recipe. But my hubby ‘s favorite is your Fall Apart Beef and vege soup made on Guinness beer….
I think a section of quick tasty recipe using base pre-prepared ingredients would be great for busy families, like your chicken marinades or the stir fry recipes with the CHARLIE sauce.
I buy a lot of ingredients that i may use only once or twice before I have to throw them away. This is a waste of resources, so I would prefer to have base ingredients that I use a lot to be more sustainable.
Not quite a mindblowing recipe but I have found the simple ‘Beef Steak Marinade’ is a game changer for cheaper cuts of meats. Especially rump, the taste is the best but it can be a bit tough, this marinade turns it into the most tender and flavoursome piece of meat. And the ‘Chicken Doner Kebab’ is a must addition
I had burnt basque cheesecake at a cafe recently. It was so yummy that I tried making it myself. It’s a simple recipe but turned out way too crumbly. I subbed 1/2 cup of lemon curd for one egg and some of the sugar and would definitely recommend that.
But I think 🤔 you would do a much better job and it would be a great addition to your book as a dessert for special occasions….
White chicken lasagna delicious
I cannot wait for your cookbook, it sounds so exciting! I would love to see quick and easy week night recipes please. Also from your website your slow-roasted crispy pork belly is to die for and I no longer avoid cooking pork now I use your instructions for the best crackle ever! Then for dessert your chocolate cream pie is a favourite with my family, I get lots of request to make it! Good luck with your book Nagi, I can’t wait to have it in my kitchen, I know I will use it constantly!
Something i’ve always thought would be fun to see included in the recipe (partly in cheek, partly serious) is the amount of clean up involved! Like, mid-week I’m wanting to know if I’m committing to rearranging the dishwasher or washing up for 20 minutes once the dishwasher starts.
And as an aside, I’d still purchase your cookbook even if it did contain many of the same recipes on here. I use your site most often and would love to pass them on to my girls one day xx EE

Hi Nagi
I’ve been a Cook and foody for quite a few years and rarely follow recipes per say… But I have to say that I have with a few of yours as late and your Beef Vindaloo, which I’ve cooked from scratch for years, but your tip of cooking in my Le Crueset in the oven and using so much Kashmiri chilli powder is a game changer.
No burnt bits on the bottom for a start!
One curry that I’ve always loved and first had over 30 years ago in Neutral Bay from the take away Indian Gourmet is a Lamb Kofta Curry (meatballs)… I have tried to replicate and get close using Besan flour (chickpea) but it’s hard to find exactly how he used to make it. He is still on Willoughby Rd but afraid without asking him outright for the recipe I thought you might be able to help? I think the recipe is so difficult to find is because it’s actually Pakistani not Indian so maybe not as prevalent.
It would be a great addition to your recipe book I feel.
Thanks for all the hard work!
Al
Please include your chicken stew recipe. It is so good! More one-pot recipes please!
So excited for you and can’t wait for the book
I love your website and jot down my favourites from you in my cookbook, I’m old school and easier for me to follow
I love sticky baked chicken thighs
Frittata
Chicken breast in creamy mushroom sauce
So happy for you! Easy and healthy recipes for the family would be greatly appreciated, especially with nutritional information! Thank you so much!
I’ve cooked your coq au vin yesterday and have been using your website for years now! Coming back to it for an Asian recipe for tonight and was actually thinking that I would definitely by your book and there it (almost) is !! So exciting, you deserve it so much 🙂
Hi Nagi. You amaze me with thd detail in your recipes and the user friendly layout of your website. Thank you. So utterly thrilled that you’re finally doing your very own cookbook. Please do lots of quick easy workday recipes. I would also like a quick flop proof scone recipe in the book please
Congratulations we love your website so can’t wait for a cookbook. Hard to choose favourites but regular rotations in our house are the Malaysian satay chicken and the orecchiette sausage pasta in the creamy tomato sauce.
Great news. I think a section on basic sauces that will go with many things would be really helpful – pasta sauces, fish sauces, meat sauces etc. xx
