SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.

Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

PS That’s just a mock cover!!

Finally – a cookbook!

This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.

Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.

Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….

I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!

Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.

So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂

If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.

I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.

So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).

They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!

Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

– Nagi x

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer

I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Dozer sniffing RecipeTin Eats cookbook mock up

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

I have a favourite salad which I can only purchase at Cazalys Club in Cairns. It can be served with a few prawns, beef, chicken, etc. Not a lot of meat, but enough. Also has a small serving of pickled ginger on the side. It is called Japanese Sesame Salad and I would. Kill for the recipe.

I’m so glad there’s a book coming out! You’re one of the few people i trust with replicable recipes! I would love if you could include more vegetable rich or vegetarian options. I eat meat but I prefer to limit the consumption and eat more Vegetables.

So excited that you’re getting a cookbook! I don’t usually post but your website is always my go to if I want to make something I know won’t fail me and will be delicious.

Please do include in your book the details on storage, ingredient notes and make-ahead tips – they are so incredibly useful! These recipes are my all-time favourites that I make regularly.

Persian love cake, Chinese streamed pork buns, bibimbap, lentil soup, Japanese slaw, mushroom risotto, Vietnamese caramelised pork, Thai chicken satay, tiramisu, choc self-saucing pudding, ricotta gnocchi, pesto pasta, scones

You soooooo deserve this Nagi (and Dozer). In your first book I would love to see your Ultra Crispy Potatoes, Marinated Roast Beef, every pasta dish on this blog along with all of your meatball recipes. A section on dressings, sauces, gravy etc would be great – especially your lemon butter sauce.

Your second book could feature prepare ahead and freezer friendly recipes. Also recipes where the main protein can be changed,

Book three (following your world book tour) could focus on different cultures where you could teach us to swap/add key ingredients to completely change a dish.

I love the fun style of your writing, your little side stories, handy tips, substitutes etc. Congratulations Nagi, your are a wonderful ray of sunshine!

Hmm what does Nagi suggest I do with these 😂 so pleased for you and can’t wait to have it on my bench top cookbook stand!

Hi Nagi, you are an inspiration and part of me every time I cook.
In a cook book id love to see you continue to call out alternatives or subs. They make me fret less and also a better cook because I don’t sweat the small stuff.
Please include your favourite brands, the curry paste tins are the best but never would’ve thought to try them without your recommendation.
I love the back story, ie why sauté the onion garlic and celery for long on slow heat, this again just makes us all better cooks.
A key ingredient list to always have in your cupboard and maybe the # of recipes in your book they can be used for so people know its not just a one time thing and then takes up space.
If you need any subscribers to test out some of your new cookbook recipes i’d be more than happy to give it a go with constructive feedback.
If some old time favourites will be in the book would love to see pork meatballs for bhan mi, pork ribs and thai beef salad.
Thanks so much for all the inspiration you bring, will be making 3 of your recipes this week.
    You rock!

Congratulations on your biggest project yet Nagi! It is well deserved. Like many others here I frequently browse your website for what to cook. One reason for this is the wide variety of cuisines and as I do not consume alcohol amongst other things, the alternatives you usually provide are very helpful for novice cooks like myself. As a matter of fact, I’m planning on making the one pot Chinese Chicken Rice today – easy but delicious recipe:))

    Hi Nagi,
Firstly know this, I will definitely buy your cookbook. Secondly just please stay the same as you are. I love absolutely everything about your approach to food and people. Your style of cooking and dealing with people is “we” based not “me” based. You’ve done easy recipes, complicated recipes, COVID recipes, lockdown recipes and allergy aware recipes. NO ONE can touch you – you’re a cooking rock star and Dozer is the perfect accompaniment to each and every post. You’re natural, organic and we love you both.

YES! I can’t think of anything to exclude. Which won’t help you or your editor. I love how great you are about allergy-alternatives. A couple of years ago I commented on a recipe that has clam juice asking what I could use instead as both our daughters are allergic to clams. And the extra soy sauce was delicious – thank you. If you can keep those notes in I know it would be appreciated. And CONGRATULATIONS!!

Hi Nagi, I’m so excited to hear about your cookbook! I use at least 1, usually more, of your recipes every week to feed my fussy family. Including one coeliac. I find your recipes very easy to adapt for that, if they don’t already have the adaptation provided. We love kangaroo in our house and would love to see some kangaroo recipes. Good luck Nagi!

Love your receipes and look forward to your book. I would like to see a section on Keto receipes both meals and snacks. Salads and coleslaws are a favorite in our house in summer and slow cooker meals in winter.
