SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.

Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

PS That’s just a mock cover!!

Finally – a cookbook!

This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.

Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.

Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….

I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!

Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.

So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂

If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.

I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.

So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).

They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!

Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

– Nagi x

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer

I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Dozer sniffing RecipeTin Eats cookbook mock up

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

    Wonderful news.

    My 2 favourites would be:
Sausage Bake with Potatoes and Gravy
    and
One Pot Chicken Enchilada Rice Casserole

The “great roasted carrots” is an all-time classic for me, too.

Amazing news, congrats Nagi! You have been my inspiration during lockdown. I love watching your videos and reading the reader comments. Could you possibly incorporate this into your book? (Scan recipe QR codes to take you to an interactive web page or app). The best of both worlds. I would also love a binder format.

My top picks would be slow cooker meals (for when you want something ready when you get home), budget meals (especially liked mince meals during lockdown), stir fries (I am in search of the perfect ginger chicken udon dish) and dinner party meals (we have being doing Saturday family night themed dishes from your collection)!
To be honest though, I am sure whatever you come up with will be a winner. Thanks again.

Hi Nagi and Dozer – as dog lovers – I have a fussy poodle named Noodle -how about a recipe for nutritional dog food with vegetables, meat and rice? Or is that just too too silly? 🤪

Not silly at all! Dozer only eats homemade dog food 🙂 I had a bad experience with dry food is I never use it any more! Here is the one I use -> https://promotown.info/tachyon/2019/05/Dozers-natural-food-diet-RecipeTin-Eats.pdf%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E

    Nagi,

I am super excited that you are doing a cookbook. Ever since I found your site, I make at least one recipe per week (I am single so it last a few days ;)).

    Here are my suggestions:
    – I love your meat recipes – so I would love to see more of those
    – Meal planning recipes – breakfast, lunch and dinner
    – You have some drinks on the site and I would like to see more of those (I am horrible with making my own drinks without instructions)
    – I am a single person, so I hope that you are still able to scale the recipes down or up
    – I really hope there will be an electronic version with videos. The videos really help

Thanks so much for asking our opinion on what should be in your book. I am sure it will be great. 🙂

Congratulations on your book deal Nagi, very well deserved. I would love to see recipes for the following:-
    Choo Chee fish
    Shaking beef
    Hokkaido cheese tarts (yum!)
Please include your Asian recipes, salads, chocolate cake, vanilla cake, Byron bay cookies and gourmet crackers.
Lots of photos please and a book that opens up to lie flat.
Goes without saying that Dozer should feature heavily throughout the book! Bring on 2022, can’t wait. We’re all behind you, good luck for the big job ahead. 🤗

Biggest problem when living alone is cooking for one person. Love that your recipes can be scaled down although sometimes figuring out some of the fractions is trying. 1 TBSP is what part of a pint for example or something comes out .17.

Include lots of quick and easy everyday dinner recipes please, as many of my cookbooks gather dust due to being too complex for everyday use! Also include storage information for leftovers is really useful!

Can you please include recipies for diabetics, we seem to be left out all the time.
    Recipies for slow cookers.
More recipies for vegetables. Standard, Indian, healthy recipies.
How to scale up and down.
I am an avid follower of your recipies, have made a difference to our lives for the better, I can follow your recipies and not feel nervous.
Best of luck with the book you are taking on a marathon task.
Looking forward to reading and getting stuck in the kitchen with it.
    👍✌👏🤓🤗😎😛

I am so excited, jazzed really, to hear that you are working on a cookbook. Of course I will purchase the book. And you do deserve to have your name embossed in cookbook fame! Thank you so much for all your work. I use you recipes constantly & your site is one of the first I consult. Nutritional information is important to me. I would love to see a section on salads. I try to have a salad a day. Again my heartfelt congratulations from across the Pacific.
