SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!
– Nagi x
PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Nagi I think that is wonderful you writing a cookbook I have followed your blog for years and love your recipes and Dozer lol.I will follow your progress of your book with excitement and will definitely be off to buy it as soon as its out.
Keep up your good work and well done .
Rhonda
Congratulations, Nagi. I wish you every success – as a librarian I’ll be spreading the word!
I would love it if you could develop a chocolate baked ricotta cheesecake. I ate a delectable one in a tiny restaurant well over 10 years ago and have never been able to find a recipe that has come close to replicating its deep chocolate flavour without being sickly sweet or too heavy.
Love every recipe of yours I’ve tried! Def would love to see GF & dairy free icons in your recipe book
Yay – fabulous news about the cookbook!! I’ve put so many people onto your website and all I hear is praise for your recipes. Can’t wait to start gifting this book to family and friends x
YES!!! The cook book I’ve been waiting for! So excited for you! We LOVE your lasagne recipe. It’s hands down the best I’ve ever tried and a true family favourite. But in saying that, everything of yours that I’ve tried the family has loved. You are my go to recipe guru. Congratulations on this huge next step! Xx
I love your recipes Nagi, could you please include all your E Book recipes.Thank you for your inspiring food adventures.
Fantastic news! Would love to see all the ‘most popular dishes’ from your blog. Also a photo with every recipe is important. I don’t cook things that I can’t see first. Good Luck!
Pinch me I miss be dreaming! This made my day to hear you will be coming out with a cookbook. No exaggeration, about 85% of the meals that I make are from you or some modded version of one of yours! You are the culinary hero of my kitchen. My husband is very skeptical and picky about new recipes, but if I say “it’s from Nagi” all is well.😊 I love all your curries and Asian/Indian recipes and would love to see some of those included in your cookbook.💕
I love your recipes and can’t wait to buy your book.
My wishlist:
Stovies please – i have tried to make this several times but it never quite works out.
Also a recipe for the perfect genoise sponge for layer birthday cakes,
Some recipes involving matcha – particularly desserts.
Love all your recipes! Cant wait to see the new cookbook! Please do use a BIG BOLD PRINT for them, I am tired of squinting at the tiny and grey script recipes in many cookbook!
Finally!! This is great news! Can’t wait to get it!
I would love if you include some dessert/cake recipes! 🙂
I love your recipes Nagi. What a great website. I’d love to see a Classic Beef Wellington recipe in your new cookbook. Good luck with this exciting venture!!
Great idea Caroline! N x
I love all of your recipes. My favorite ones are: 1. Ease of Preparation 2. Depth of flavor 3. Mostly entrees and sides 4. Enjoy the authentic recipes from all cultures.
I’m pretty sure I’ll love any book you do, Nagi!
But my one request is actually more structural than recipe related – please please, put in a good word with the publisher for a decent index? Nothing is worse than searching for a recipe ingredient, method or name only to find a crappy index fails you.
Stephanie Alexander’s Cook’s Companion has, in my mind, one of the most comprehensive indexes I’ve ever seen and I find it super helpful when I’m trying to think about what to cook based on ingredients, flavours or types of dishes.
Your site has such a great catalogue of options – e.g. meal, type of dish, ingredient – it would be such a shame to lose that in the print version!
I agree.
Hey Nagi,
Just wanted to let you know how much you have helped our daughter. She is a young mum of 2 kids who is profoundly deaf and has trouble reading and writing. Your recipes and videos have provided her with healthy delicious meals that she can follow and understand truly life saving. I would love to see some easy to follow kid menu ideas for her follow. You are a legend in our house. Love your recipes love the simplicity! We are excited for your book consider 3 copies already sold.
I’ve been hoping for this for years!! I’d love to see all the ‘classics’ that every one should know how to do. Lamingtons, pizza, butter chicken, lasagna, choc cake, pancakes and the like. I always turn to your blog first when researching recipes because I know they are tried and true. That’s the cook book I’d be reaching for all the time!
Hey Nagi, my ideas are:
-A photo with each recipe please.
-An index page on the back that has 30 minute meal recipes, dinner party menus, vegetarian feasts, and what pages they are on. (As seen in a simple ottolenghi book).
– Maybe a page with must have kitchen accessories to make these dishes. Maybe a page with typical ingredients you use, especially with asian sauces/recipes.
Thanks
ill buy your book even if it’s empty just to support you and the fantastic joy you have brought to our kitchen x
That’s too kind of you Shaun, thanks so much!! N x
Hey great news, I’m probably a bit late responding.
I like the way you have adapted existing recipes from celeb chefs and food pOrn cookbooks and made them achievable in the average kitchen!
(David Chang’s Bo Ssam, and Movida’s Beef Cheeks with Cauliflower purée are both examples where your version works much better!)
I think you would do a great job of B explaining the ‘how to ‘ to novice cooks.
Also, as someone who has a crappy electric hot plate in a small 70’s kitchen , where a wok doesn’t work, love the Asian recipes
Keep it up !
Thanks, Tony
Gluten free notes/subs please
