SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.

Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

PS That’s just a mock cover!!

Finally – a cookbook!

This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.

Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.

Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….

I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!

Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.

So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂

If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.

I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.

So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).

They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!

Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

– Nagi x

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer

I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Dozer sniffing RecipeTin Eats cookbook mock up

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

A recipe for Bircher muesli would be great for a cookbook where you can scribble in your own favourite adaptations. Really, the only essential ingredients are oats and fruit (usually including apple), and after that everything is interchangeable: yoghurt/milk/cream/non-dairy, dried fruit/nuts, honey/other sweetness, yum yum yum!

You might consider Povitisa. It is a rolled bread dough spread with finally chopped walnuts and sugar/honey. It is a winner BUT recipes are challenging. I have a cookbook that only has those recipes but I have tried to figure out the best and using my grandmother’s original “a little of that, a pinch of that, and if you have it, honey or use so much sugar.”

Yes, I love your recipes and fun items about your life including Dozer…Love it. Did I say, Recipes are good, too!

Hi Nagi, I love your recipes, every single one turns out amazing. What I would love in your recipe book is pictures! It’s the thing that makes me say “Yum! I want to make this!” Some recipe books don’t have pictures and it’s so frustrating!

    Hi Nagi
Love your recipes since finding your site several years ago and have been a devoted follower since.
Could you include some wonderful rich stews and casseroles (beef and Guinness is one of my favourites) for those cold winter nights. Whatever you choose, I know they will be amazing and I’m sure that Dozer will love them too!

Hi Nagi, I’m a big fan, live on my own with kids visiting. I really appreciate many of your recipes due to quickness/speed of delivery and limited ingredients and obviously end result (taste)! In your cook book I’d recomment some sort of ratingin the contents regarding preparaton time and number of ingredients. That’s my two bob’s worth:)
    cheers and regards, Grahame.

Hi Nagi! I love your recipes, I would love to see some Spanish recipes in your book! I adore your paella recipe, so perhaps some croquettes to go with it?

I would love an easy to cook section for lazy nights and a meal prep freezer section! The best thing about a cook book is looking through it when you can’t decide on dinner or finding inspiration in it for something you wouldn’t normally cook

Please have a section on pantry & fridge basics. The things we should have on hand all the time. Thanks for all the great recipes. The Vietnamese Caramel Pork is my favourite so far.

Every single one of your recipes that I have cooked is outstandingly delicious. The photography sells your recipes, the thorough explanations are a huge bonus. What I also love is your vast international repertoire and knowledge. Everything has obviously been tried and tested and cooked with passion. Your website is my go-to when I am looking for inspiration and guaranteed success. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with a very appreciative audience. Favourites amongst many are Vietnamese Coconut Caramel Chicken, Biriyani, Cottage Pie, Chicken Satay Curry, Pastitsio …….

My daughter and I cannot wait for this!! You are our ‘go to’ for so many recipes, we have such confidence in your instructions and advice, knowing they will lead to such a delicious and successful meal. All I have to say is, ‘Yep, It’s a Nagi!’…and the family know something great is on its way or has just been enjoyed!! Your cookbook will indeed be on our kitchen bench top, well-loved with splatters, fingerprints and pencil marks before you know it LOL!

Hi Nagi, greetings from Texas🤠 Your recipes are amazing! I’ve made several so far. I love all of the extra information you provide, that really helps me to understand the recipe better. I can’t wait for your cookbook! I would love to see some step by step photos of the more advanced recipes & techniques. That would be so helpful as I am a visual learner. Thank you for all of your hard work!

Nagi – Please include your recipe for “velveting” chicken (and other meats). And your crispy honey prawns. And your wonderful fried rice(s). I can’t imagine how you are going to select from so many wonderful favorites. Please don’t only have a cookbook full of new recipes! Then we will have to keep our folders full of old printed faves. 8^(

    Hi Nagi,

Please make it available in US. I love all your recipes that I tried. If it is a new recipe that is fantastic in my house, my husband will ask, “Japanese-Australian lady’s?”. 🙂
