SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.

Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

PS That’s just a mock cover!!

Finally – a cookbook!

This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.

Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.

Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….

I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!

Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.

So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂

If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.

I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.

So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).

They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!

Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

– Nagi x

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer

I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Dozer sniffing RecipeTin Eats cookbook mock up

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

I almost only cook from your website these days, MASSIVE respect. Something I’ve come to really value as well is the comments from your readers. Wouldn’t it be cool if you could add a little review portal that linked to each recipe for ppl to comment and read comments? Linked into your website. Just an idea, have never heard of anyone doing this before, maybe you could be the first!!!!

The slow cooked beef brisket with BBQ sauce. My son loves it and we have had it once a week since I discovered the recipe. It is his absolute favourite meal

Can’t wait for the recipe book. I’d like anything that is quick to make without lots of “exotic” ingredients that will never be used again! One pan, or easy preparation, or fast cooking is great.
Not lots of chilli based foods as lots of kids won’t eat it.

Nagi, my only comment is, whatever you do, don’t change! Your receipts are simple, honest, good food that anyone can cook. Best part for me is 80% of the time, once I’ve made one a couple of times I don’t need to keep going back to the book for instructions. That to me shows you are presenting things simply, with ingredients we can all get. So, don’t fall into the trap of thinking you have to come up with something too much different to what you already do….your secret sauce is simple, tasty food we can all make. I’m on your site 4 days a week looking for something to make. I’ve made stuff from your site that people thought took hours and hours of prep….I think of Irish soda bread as an example. What works now will work in a book. Occams Razor applies here..the simplest solution is usually the best. Good luck

I love all your recipes, they are so tasty, loads of flavours and not complex. The explanation of each component has helped me improve my skills. The step by step photos included. No kitchen aid processors needed.
The ease of looking up by each food category helps me decide what’s on the menu each meal. Every recipe is perfect to me.

I especially like your meals that have heaps of spices in them and make better than restaurant standard food from scratch – recipes like biryani, rogan josh, curries, massaman shanks. But also some true Aussie staples are good as well. I don’t tend to like or try any that have unusual equipment like su-vie. I’d like to see some recipes that aren’t as heavy on thr calorie side – I understand they sometimes aren’t as tasty haha.

Nagi, How exciting! I love your recipes, not just for the great enticing flavors, but the fact that if I follow what you tell me it will turn out perfectly. They are so well tested (thank you Dozer), written clearly and specifically that I know I will get a great result. The tips section is invaluble. I am following you from the US and would love a book of favorites because right now I have pages and pages of your recipes printed out from my phone and poorly organized. I do understand the excitement of developing new material though and I’m sure we will love them also. The only request would be, depending on your major audience area, that you keep in mind that in the middle of the US many times the proteins/produce that you use may not be available, and that many are beginning to follow lower carb eating styles. Maybe 2 books: Old Favorites and New Flavors. Ha! Thanks so much for filling my news feed with deliciousness! ❤

Hi Nagi, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this site and although selfishly I’d like to keep it a secret I also think the world should know about it! That said I tend to make a lot of your Thai and Vietnamese dishes- they’re always a hit! I lived in SE Asia and the recipes are the most accurate I’ve come across. Literally everything else I’ve made from your site has been brilliant but I would love to at least see some Thai and Vietnamese in the book! I can hardly wait for it it be published, it will help my Christmas shopping 😄
