SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Vietnamese lemongrass chicken – family favorite!
Nagi, your emails are always a high point of my day. Your positive attitude and selfless way of giving is such a wonderful example for us. Bless you as you pursue the dream of publishing. May you and your sweet pup rest well and have productive days.
Hi Nagi! Greetings from sunny (hot) Florida.
I’m so excited about ‘our’ upcoming cookbook. I just know it’s going to be fantastic. Please, take all the time you need! We have an ample supply of fabulous recipes to choose from on the site. Love to Dozer.
Many of us are in the same boat! Please take all the time you need… we do not cook at the same pace as you so there is plenty on this site for us to explore. Give us some time to catch up lol!
Love the diversity on your site and we can tell that the recipes have been tested. LOVE your notes sections and substitution recommendations. I am sure you have enough amazing ideas for your book and I am sure many of my thoughts are duplicates…
-Soups with different methods to make and sore them. Love your no knead bread to go with it.
-Recommendations on batch cooking/prepping and tips on storage including how long things keep safe & tasty.
-This one might seem odd but I bought fresh tortellini in bulk and looking for several different ways of using it.
-“Help it is 4pm and I have not defrosted anything” I have never cooked meat from frozen state until friends swore it could be done in the Instatpot …thoughts?
All of your marinades are amazing. The last time I made your HuliHuli chicken I made a double batch and froze half. I double bagged the chicken and put a zip lock bag with the glaze in the outer bag. The day before I wanted to use it I put it in the fridge and it was ready to go on the grill the next day. I wish I was organized enough to do that more often.
-We should all eat more veggies (plus they are delicious) ideas for side dishes that could also be main dishes
– love your salads and your theme weeks
I can’t imagine how difficult the selection process must be. But I am sure what ever you decide will be amazing because I have not come a bad recipe yet on your site. I can not wait for your book to come out but until then we have plenty to explore on your site.
This is not defeat but a sensible allocation of the available hours in the days. I look forward to the final product. Hope you include a recipe for every kind of protein ingredient commonly used. Whatever you and readers chose it will be a winner, I am sure. Keep up the good work.
Nagi, congratulations on the book commission and looking forward to publication! I’d love to see included your meatloaf, which is one of my top ten favourites, plus any other recipes where the dish can be eaten again the following day(s), maybe with ideas for adapting? Love cooking a few good dishes each week and then making leftovers work as other lunches or suppers. Especially good for winter in the northern hemisphere!
As someone who works long hours I would really love some easy and healthy midweek meal ideas! Or anything I can make in bulk for meal prep that’s not too heavy on time or calories!!
Hi Nagi. Will miss you but agree with your decision to focus on the cookbook. Sometimes multi-tasking makes your brain too fuzzy, unconscious & crazy.
Best to do one project at a time & get it just right. Get those much needed zzz’s so you can create with ease. Have fun & hugs to Dozer. 👍👍👍
Love your spice and flavor. I have been on a lean and green program for 3 months and am missing low carb, low calorie, light aisian meals!!! No flour,pasta,potatoes,sugar…..help in your new cookbook!😂🤣😂
Me too!, But also please keep up the sensible ingredient substitutes for those of us not near an asian food market.
Nagi you are a legend! Thanks for being so damn good at what you do. Take as long as you need for the cookbook. If the hundreds of incredible recipes on your website can’t sustain any of your followers for 3 weeks or so – tough. As long as it takes, we will happily wait. Love your work!!! Robbie
Beef Wellington please! Have not dared make it only because it’s not in your website Nagi❣️
Hi! You may never read this since it’s late but my dad has been in the hospital ICU for weeks (not Covid) so I’ve not paid much attention to anything but getting him well. He’s on the mend so I had to comment. I’m so excited for this cookbook and I’m sure I’ll love any recipes you include! My one suggestion is to include detailed mise en place for each recipe. The thing I struggle with most is the things I need to do to the ingredients before I start the recipe. It’s one thing to make sure you have all the ingredients but it is so important to prep the ingredients before you start cooking so they’ll be ready to add at the appropriate time. (Like rushing to chop the onion when it’s time to actually add it to the recipe) I think it’s great you asked us for suggestions! Good luck!
I would love this recipe book to be relatable, easy, everyday use, the ultimate source of home cooked recipes for families.
(One of the reasons I love your style of cooking and recipes.).
Hi !
Dozer HAS to have a prominent appearance in The Cookbook !!!
Cheers, Chris
Well of course! That goes without saying!! N x
If I were to pick an existing recipe for your recipe book it would be your Chicken Biryani. I have made it so many times and it is always a pleasure to make and amazing to eat. Thank you
Very wise to take time out for a while to concentrate on the Cookbook. Could we please have a category for Dutch Oven Recipes with cook times & temperatures.
Do you have a Yeast Bun recipe please
I love your recipes Nagi especially all the details you include. I would appreciate more vegetarian recipes!
Working on some of the best meat-free recipes I’ve ever created for the cookbook! Truly so proud of them 🙂 I hope you love them as much as I do! N x
I didn’t have enough room in my previous comment to say how much I am dying to see your new cookbook! It will become the family cooking bible I’m sure. Haven’t had a failure yet with your recipes!!!
I am so excited for the upcoming cookbook!!! I would love to see some tasty one pot wonders for those nights I can’t be bothered . Lol. Also gotta say, your Thai red curry recipe and satay chicken recipes are as good as if not better than takeaway!!
